When I firsth heard that song, It instantaneously became my favourite, but I soonly became upset with the fact that this would tire Bruce's voice a lot, so this song would never be played live.

This song is definitely the younger brother of The Legacy! Both are written by Janick and Steve and both have similar acoustic intros.

Although, I feel The Legacy is the most epic song of the 21st century, The Talisman is seriously awesome too!

Ooh GOD! o.O Bruce's voice is still the same amazing as it was 20 years ago!!! I find the lyrics a little bit of repetitive and poor though... (e.g: 3 times the word storm in the same verse..) not hater or anything but sincerely the intro could have been a lot smaller with less lyrics as it gets a little bit of boring until the main part gets in! apart from this they still rock!! I saw Maiden play on Orange Stage on Roskilde Festival, and they where just awesome. Janick jumped around on the stage, Dave was playing like he was the best guitarist in the world (and he is), Adrian was SO cool on the stage and Steve..........he was just amazing, and Bruce was singing so mother fucking great that he sounded like he deed in the 80´ere.........JUST AN AMAZING KONCERT, UP THE IRONS!!!!!!

I mean, it's catchy and does not require much taste in music to like it, which is kinda pitty 'cause in the earlier days, Iron Maiden was an original band with their very own and unique style, which they've preserved, but the part I've mentioned above sounds like I have heard it somewhere. This is one of those albums that you have to listen to this album and digest it three or four times before you get critical. My first time through, I gave out a sigh of disappointment, but after I listened to it a couple of times through, I was bobbing my head with a demonic smile pumping my fist like I had been listening to it for years.
