@KaliaMigold Think of a sponge: when a sponge gets wet it'll get bigger and thicker, right? So if a piece of paper that's folded gets wet, it'll get thicker, and when it gets thicker, the thickness will push the "petals" out because it's harder to fold something that's thick than something that's thin. Try it with 1 sheet of paper vs. 10 sheets of paper. Which is easier to fold? ;)

It'll work whichever way you do it. Just use printer paper for best results!
