Does anyone here remember the channel 50 or 54 afternoon movie into with the bananarama "cruel summer" theme song? It also showed pictures from Carrie and a sea creature movie in the same intro to highlight the movies they showed.
@Nabelnoir Thank goodness. I thought it was just me who remembered that. Now If I could only get someone to remember CBS' weekend midday movie bumper that said "The MOOOOOVIESSSS!!!" and then ended with a trumpet refrain. The movie I saw with that bumper was Poe's "The Cask of Amantillado." Oh well, I'm talking too much. Thanks again Nabelnoir for remembering.
@Nabelnoir OH.....MY.......GOODNESS!!!!!! Thanks. That was it. I thought I'd never see that again. I last saw it in '84. I was about to go on a school trip on Sunday afternoon and that was on TV just before I left. I thought I'd never see it again. With that seen there's only the Cruel Summer WNUV movie openeing left to see then I'll be set. Thanks again Nabelnoir. Your awesome!!!!!
@farcher3 No prob...Glad I could help. Those really were the good old days. Back when there was no such thing as Comcast to create unwanted channel divisions in local territories and such. I haven't seen what WNUV has become lately but I still remember the channel fondly from when I lived in Towson.
WNUV was about the only channel I watched back in the 80's...thanks for putting this up! What year is this from? I remember they had the pet of the day, but I don't recognize this particular logo.
went from being independent,to UPN,then WB,and now CW,channel 54 went through so many changes

Oh, yes, 'Pet of the Day' on 54. Always wanted to take 'em home after seeing them, heh.
Was this jingle before or after the "watch what we're doing now" one? I seem to recall that this is a later one....

I remember that the last 10 seconds of the music were used for the Pet of the Day segment in the mid-80's.
