truly fantastic car, do you mind if I ask what engine you have? I'm just waiting for my insurance premiums to drop, at which point I'm hoping to snap up a 3.0 diesel or maybe a 3.2 petrol. Three years to go!
@gibo909 yes i agree totally with you , i recommend highly for yourself to purchase a v6 diesel one that's used as there extremely reliable and tough for a lifetime !
a used one will be also much more affordable as the depreciation is very high.

I would get the A6, its much more sporty and lighter. The VW is a VERY heavy car. But then again its all up to u ofc. they are both from the VW concern anyways :D
im sorry for you that you cant experience the comfort of the car at high speeds, so come and visit beautiful germany ;-). im going to drive a fully loaded w12 tomorrow thats going to be fun drove the car before though.little info: phaeton doesnt sit on the GT´s body frame rather the flying spur is sitting on the pheaton´s body frame plus all cars share the same technology (twin turbo´s in the bentleys). is your´s a v8 and how do you like acc i think its the greatest feature ever

Love the car and it is the best car for the money hands down, but heard electrical problem is a concern and replacing air suspension cost $5k. Any truth to that? Been itching to take the phaeton to Vegas at night on the 15 at 100 mph and see just how great of a cruiser it really is.
I LOVE the car. It's a 2004, it has been good to me the past four months. I've had my up and downs with here (VW Service and Maintenance). But, with any high priced vehicle, your going to need to keep the car in tip-top shape. Electrical Gremlins can be problematic. The $5K suspension replacement sounds about right. I would lean towards 6-7. She cruises at 100, actually, 100 does not feel like 100, it's sweet and relaxing. K.I.T if you get one! We have a great forum of folks discuss the Phaeton!
Yea, I do consider myself lucky. These cars were out of my price range at 18. Now a little older, I am able to treat myself to something really nice and luxurious as the Phaeton. The Phaeton sits on a Bentley Continental GT Body Frame, Audi A8 Transmission, etc. Thank you for the comments! Have a good one!

lucky guy :) vw phaeton was the test car for bentley continental gt and it has the same tecnology inside as the gt. Very cool car.
