i would love to freefall through this in a spacesuit listening to these trippy sounds, "did i say that out loud", it's just mind bustingly awsome and ,maybe in the future our decendants will be able to travel to these places one day, if we did have the means to get to these distances, would they still be there or have they been destroyed/burnt out years ago, its just the light hasnt reached us yet. have i asked that right?, lol
The universe is best experienced in a non-sober state... pick your poison; it's all good, man. ;-) And what we're seeing in NGC 346 is what it looked like 210,000 years ago (because it's 210,000 light years away). Even things close to us -- the wall on the other side of the room, for example -- are not as we see them 'now' -- but as they were a tiny, tiny fraction of a second ago.
