I've hard and seen pictures of Salamenca University but not of Corcea. The university is west of Madrid and 80km east of the Portuguese border and was founded in 1218. This means that people of all ethnicities were, and have been TOLERATED within Islam, including "black" people AND Christians. If you try & find ethnocentricity in Islam, then you will not find it, but if it matters to you the color of skin, then you are narrowing your own scope of vision. You should inform yourself about history, Islamic society,& it's relationship with Europe during these times

Yes, the Ummayad supporters were in Spain (and the Jews inside did most of the dirty work in the take over process) but they were losing territories slowly back to the Catholics and were only holding onto the Sothern Spain to which the surviving prince took in charge.
