  • I think mine is an early model. No LEDs but does have a very cool swirl paintjob. What do these go for these days? I don`t use mine (never have really), I have too many boxes.

  • The website says these no longer come with led lights.

Too bad. I'll hold off till they start making them with the lights again.

  • that is one sick sick pedal

  • Lovely, really, just a beautiful demo, more of a performance. My wife actually asked me to play this for her one night. This is such fine pedal, gotta' have! Thanks!!!

  • It should be noted that this pedal stands up tall as a fuzz & a fuzz octave , as well. Too many demos focus solely on the swell effect ... It isn't practical to switch effects in a live situation but, the tones are there ...

  • Do you need a battery for it, or can it run off a power supply?

  • I have to say this is the best demo of this pedal on the net. You got a really nice tone with this. Could not find a demo that had the nice backwards slow swells like E.J. has got with this pedal until I listened to this again tonight. I liked the one rainy wish thing in their. Disregard that comment about clacking it actually sounds awesome with not any bad clack. Rock on keep the demos coming.

  • I like your demos and how you play nice job my friend. I know everyone is a critic but I have advice. That clacking tracking thing you can probably get a rid of that with rolling your tone knob back a little maybe. What amp are you using a dr.z by chance? I notice those dr.z clack like whore with fuzz faces and I have just never had those two get along . Not a biggie I am sure I have clacked before lol. Take care and awesome pedal sounds great my friend.

  • @phatsound1 - Thanks for the compliment and advice. The amp used is actually a Marshall, not the DR Z. I believe the "clacking" sound is from the pedal when the note compresses and then swells.

  • @phatsound1

Hey cool shit man. Are you picking straight up here or are you doing volume swells and/or artificial harmonics?? Or is that just a badass pedal?

  • Nicely done bro. I wish mine sounded as smooth. Are you using a strat? Take care!!

  • Sounds great - I got a similar effect with my Menatone Chawbox octave fuzz in conjunction with volume swells from my guitar.

  • i NEED one

  • cool sound .......very cool

  • One word...swell... i sold mine and miss it. Have one of the early green model without the led. A most have!!!

And i know fuzz trust me! Have bigmuff, marshall supafuzz, univox superfuzz and many many...

  • Cool I picked one of these up used today. It seems to work well. One thing though is that it was missing 3 knobs but i found the right thing at the Rat Shack with blue fronts on them instead of red.

My question is that since this pedal i got only had one knob which was the Swell knob when it was fully turned up the white line on the knob could be viewed from the top looking down. ..Is there an owners manual for it that describes the settings? If so is it possible to get one from you?

  • Ive never heard someone demo a pedal like this. Amazing

  • what setting are you using?

  • It's on Octave Swell, fuzz/sustain is turned up pretty high, tone about 9 o'clock, volume about 9 or 10 O'clock.

  • thanks

  • Maybe pickups too high?

  • Thanks!

  • I have one of these and completely forgot about it, until I saw this video. Mine doesn't have the led and is kinda painted psychedelic though. P.S was the May This Be Love?

  • Wait, One Rainy Wish

  • Love it

  • wow this sounds amazing is there anything on the chain besides delay

  • Nope, just the experience pedal into a delay into a clean Marshall stack. The fuzz, octave and swell effects are all part of that pedal.

  • what's the clacking noise in the background everytime you pluck the strings?

    the clacking or swooshing...

  • It's probably the initial attack of the pick on the string before the swell effect kicks in.

  • Prescription electronics makes these pedals, Weavzy, and if you're lucky like this guy, you'll get the LED indicator by the swell switch. Several versions are out there with varying paint jobs. They're also very picky pedals, they pretty much want single coil neck pups and a tube amp.

Guyatone makes a single unit envelope filter for volume. It's a great unit, but unlike the Experience, it needs a short full stop before it can reset the filter. Only useful for some.

  • I play through this pedal with an SG's bridge humbucker, and the swell sounds great.

  • hey 433 Music, do you have any info on dates of the various models of the experience? i picked one up on Ebay which is all white, with the letters in blue, kind like stickers glued to the surface of the pedal . and it says on the knobs "volume", "tone","tone"&"swell" ; it has black pointer knobs.Would this be an earlier version than the psychedelic painted one?

It says it´s from the mid-90´s, but researching the web i didn´t find one that looks the same as mine.Would you have some info?thanks

  • I got the same exact thing off eBay, except with red paint and white letters

  • it didnt come with instructions or a manual... and there wasnt a website around by the time it was released. I got the psicodelic swirl, no leds, no a/c jack. it's a beast. yeah it's an early to mid 90's pedal. i dont use it much for my needs but i would hate to sell it. It will make you wish all your other pedal boxes were good as this one

  • is this new? who makes these pedals?
