  • Ron Paul - Dennis Kucinich! End the wars and this American empire around the world! Peace and liberty for all, and no more military industrial complex and wasteful spending!

  • this guy should have won in the primary for the demo...damn.

  • Ron Paul is one of the very few real American patriots who is in his right mind, most politicians are delucional. Long Live Ron Paul

  • Dennis kucinich for president in 2012 !!!!

  • he is right 1 million inocent killed looking for 50 on a deck of cards

  • this man is great

  • I wonder if Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich could be on the same ticket for 2012?

  • This is just like taking in Vietnam. 58+ thousand Great Americans fell! Countless have fallen since due to the war. Soon, my father will succumb to Agent Orange. It has slowly racked his body since the war. Our new generation faces a variant of the same scenario. THIS SUCKS! Rarely do we Americans contemplate how many of the indigenous people of these nations fall. Trust me, our politicians do because they reparate them by allowing generations to come to America.

  • @MyRiseToHonor Guys with agent orange poisoning in my apartments, one died, thank you monsanto, now the world elite are using mercury laced vaccines, depleted uranium to kill the men and the innocent children.

  • badattitude77769, it's a crying shame my friend! Much is asked of Our Greatest in the name of patriotism and other drivel laced bullshit, and by a bunch of chicken hawk cowards! When these brave individuals return, they are denied anything every happened to them by the same loud mouthed assclowns! Agent Orange, until post 911, was denied along the same lines that Gulf War Syndrome no doubt still is. Our society is doomed!

  • Well Done. In German Parliament such an address would have been considered being emotional? We see, what the "rational" politics of our channcelor do! First and foremost securing her own position without a mission and a vision. This guy is authentic and speaks from his heart. What is missing is to address the lobby groups of the military industrial complex, the secret wars of the CIA, etc. Any ways! Salute Dennis Kucinich!

  • READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is an article called "Data Bomb" showing how the 2006 Lancet study (funded by left-wing billionaire Soros) was inflated! Get the article on online and read it carefully!

  • Chalmers Johnson "Sorrows of Empire"

There are many books written about American/Zionist Imperialism or what some would call the Lucifierian Illuminati/Freemason aka New World order. However, the sheeple care not. They don't read, they tuuune in and sleep.

Lucifer's Dream Box has got their minds trapped following illusions.

Perhaps Americans need to feel what its like to be bombed and shot the hell up from the air by planes and helicopter gunships before realizing how it sucks to be them.

  • HI everybody, I too have a SMALL penis but damn is it PRETTY. Let me ask rest of the BIg dicks : Why we dont know these things? Where is reliable information that can help me make informed decision? We have a sad state of things. I am looking for rays of truth that will unite us all in determining the direction we should take. I am tired of ALWAYS being right I need to listen to others perhaps they have a better understanding of the way things work

  • Some corporations love making money off the suffering of innocents and will incur Karma for their involvement in these illegal and undeclared wars.

Look for First Contact and NESARA to balance the playing field and allow Earth her resurgence.

  • lol, hay everyone, TheEvilAmerican has a REALLY small penis!

  • Hay TheEvilAmerican, your a dumbass! Do not reply if you have a REALLY small penis!

  • Go, Dennis, go! Yes!!

  • always when parlement talks about ending a war , the key politicians are never there and it is always a empty room but when they speak about starting war and waging war then the room is jammed up and the key politicians are always there

  • In 2006, Senator Fritz Hollings (D. SC) and Rep Charles Rangel (D. NY) introduced bills calling for reinstatement of the military draft. Several other house and senate democrats cosponsored the bills. Hmmm, that's funny... I thought democrats were against war... but then, they got us involved in two world wars, Korea and Vietnam. I'm so confused.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ you think people are going to be ok with a war when the CANT hide their kids from going

thats why they wanted to do it and it sould be done and a war tax to then matbe we will not jump so fast to fight a lie

  • @sidneyoh - I understand what you're saying, but I don't think they have our best interest in mind. I think they do it so they can fight more wars without having to worry about troop strength in an all-volunteer military.

  • Yeah Congress will take care of BLACKWATER-they LET THEM ALL GO FOR OUTRIGHT MURDER OF 17 IRAQI CITIZENS.Last year-LET GO SCOT FREE 100%. FUCKING SCUM RUNS THIS GOVERNMENT.

  • the gulf of tonkin incident never happened-the cold war was cold because the soviet union was never a threat-their is no evidence of saddams involvement with "al qiada" or "harboring terrorists" no WMD's and saddam never was a threat-there is no such thing as "al qiada" or any world-wide terror network. the taliban had no involvement in international terrorism there just a group of radicals who want to create an islamic state in Afg.

  • just in

The head of a presidential delegation investigating the deaths of 10 people in eastern Afghanistan concluded Wednesday that civilians — including schoolchildren — were killed in an attack involving foreign troops, disputing NATO reports that the dead were insurgents.

anyone seen any prolife people we need to get them over there?

o wait thats right never mind its ok to kill kids when it serves the christian faith.

  • @TheEvilAmerican Only 90,000? Only?

  • People say we killed millions of them, the Lancet report states total deaths within the country which aren't by the US. The official body count was at 90,000.

  • Only 90,000? Why not kill a few more?

I'm not sure your figure is correct. Last time I checked (years ago), it was over 600,000.

  • Yes, the global opinion's numbers, that isn't the real body count, wikipedia isn't a good place to look.

  • I suppose this discussion is irrelevant, as even if one person died as a result of these criminal wars, it would be a bad thing.

Iraq Body Count says 94,888 - 103,535 civilian deaths. A New York Times study in 2006, by a team of American and Iraqi public health researchers estimated that 600,000 civilians had been killed. That was 4 years ago.

Many more have been maimed and injured. The US "don't do body counts" as General Tommy Franks said.

  • I wasn't looking at Wikipedia at all.

The US and other centres of concentrated power don't investigate their own crimes, and therefore we don't know for sure how many people have been killed by the US and Britain and others since 2003.

90,000 is a terrible figure. If the studies are correct, it's close to a million now. The Lancet reported in 2006 that over 600,000 have been killed, and that is an average of 500 violent deaths per day.

  • The reports all differ greatly, and the numbers are all over the place, so we can't tell for sure what is the correct figure, or what is even the correct estimate.

If it was Americans or British people dieing, we would have known years ago, to the precise number killed. This tells you something about how "excess deaths" are regarded.

  • good news today

U.S. officials applauded Iraq for standing its ground against Iran — an uneasy ally that analysts said was aiming to remind its neighbor of its economic and political pull in its takeover of the oil well Thursday. The site is located in one of the largest oil fields in Iraq and has about 1.5 billion barrels in reserves.

the oil is going to be safe

  • Wow, I cannot agree more with Kucinich.

  • You cannot hold up your end of the debate so you blame me for not reading the comments. What comments are you referring to? You were blaming the "damn insurance companies" for the current healthcare bill.

  • Yes, let us blame the insurance companies. How about blaming the government for promising benefits to seniors and then NOT paying for them completely? How about cutting reimbursements to providers so that they have shift the cost to individuals and private insurers? Oh, no, it could not be that. It is the 4% profit that the insurance companies are making. Let's solve the problem telling insurance companies you have to accept an unlimited commitment for and limited payment.

  • What would you like me to say? I already told you that military options should be on the table.

Welfare check? Is that the best you can do? Accuse someone who has NEVER drawn an unemployment check in his life of getting a welfare check?

    Seriously, you need some help.

  • I care more about the military than you ever will.

What happens with North Korea and Iran is now up to the President. He will probably just talk them to death.

Serving in the military has nothing to do with understanding foreign affairs or fighting terrorism. You are nothing more than a typical liberal with no brains. We are not even talking about Cheney. Next, you will bring up Sarah Palin. Why not focus on YOUR president? Barrack Husein OBama, emm emm emm!

  • Radical Democrats or Radical Republican belong in Congress not in the Presidential seat. Remember that. He is right on many things, but when he wants to take from you and give to another you won't like him so much.

  • Kucinich needs to get his ass back to the north pole and finish making his toys for Christmas.

  • Kucinich 2012

  • I don't have to assume. It is evident from the nonsense you are saying. You, like this guy, cry about the war but, in fact, never cared about the military before.

Did I say we would invade? No, I said attack. We have other means besides troops on the ground.

As for the old, "are you in the military" ploy, no, I have never been in the military. I am too old now to serve except to expose idiots like you.

  • fight fight fight more comment fights down there

  • more fight!

  • We may yet attack them. However, please do not try to use logic. As a liberal, you will hurt yourself. You should just enjoy the freedom and safety provided by those who have protected you. Fortunately, they understand strategy that you will never understand.

  • lol over a "Over a Million Innocent People" WTF. Hmmmmmm thats bullshit.

  • its not, IDIOT, i hate war and people's killing, but i will gladly punch you in your fucking face

  • Waw just because you hate war, btw everyone does, doesn't mean you have to listen to raving moronic politicians.

  • agree

  • Well said!!!

  • This is the man who ha seen ufos.

  • Who hasn't seen one?

  • the only reason he changed his opinion is because he hates obama

  • sunnage imo

  • If the US truly wants to a lead the world beyond the power of its military, then it really needs to follow men like this.

The exact opposite to Obama's war speech.

  • Kucinich is the man once again I am impressed with this bold stand wow

  • do these idiots really think saddam never had the weapons (which he used on his own people)? the UN 14 resolutions, and he did not comply...are we supposed to wait for him to slap us first? wait for the worthless UN to do something? thats just plain stupid. GOOD JOB BUSH! world is better off with saddam DEAD

  • You don't get it. The point is that we had no business invading Iraq to begin with. Yes the world is better off without Sadaam, but the ends don't justify the means. The war was sold to Americans with lies. That is unacceptable and you cheering "good job bush" speaks volumes of your intelligence.

  • no you dont get it..im not going to wait to get hit before i drop you. plain and simple. Lies? here we go again...then the entire world lied right? i guess the pictures of his weapons burning his own people were lies too...FUCK YOU AND YOUR LACK OF INTELLIGENCE ASSHOLE..im safer because of Bush, and fucking terrified now that obama is giving our security away....no run along and go fuck yourself your mother and that whore sister of yours

  • The lies were that the invasion of Iraq had anything to do with catching those responsible for 9/11. Once again, just because something good came out of the situation, Sadaam being killed, doesn't mean the ends justify the means. Thousands of American soldiers are dead because of lies. If there were real reasons to invade, they would not have had to lie to get the country on board. plain and simple. You are not safer cause of bush, we have more enemies than ever because of Bush. IDIOT!!

  • There was NEVER only one reason for invading Iraq. NEVER! Be honest, if we had found stockpiles of WMDs, you still would not have supported the war anyway.

As for more enemies, that is fine. As long as we keep killing them OVER THERE, we are safer here.

  • Yes, you are correct. 100% correct.

  • dumbass...the war in Iraq wasnt about 9/11 itself..what a fucking clueless retard you are. Nobody lied you ignorant asshole..the only lie is liberalism, and you live it

  • Keep drinking the Kool Aid. Anybody that falls in love with any politician is in for a big awakening someday. Now, go have another gulp.

  • He had the chem. weapons that he used on his own people (Kurds in the north) that were supplied to him originally by the US to use on the Iranians during the Iran/Iraq war and then it was decided (by the US) to supply weapons to Iran to keep things in balance (Iran Contra Affair). Back in the day Saddam was a US puppet. Then he cut his strings and was uncontrollable. Then he died. I bet Saddam could have spilled the beans on a lot of issues if he had been allowed to.

  • If you would take about 5 minutes before thumbing it down and reseach the subject it is not hard to find that everything I wrote above is true.

  • This country would be 1,000 times better off if Iraq was never invaded. Wake up. We are BROKE and it's not our job to be the world police, believe it or not. By the way, Bush is the biggest terrorist of all. He has killed more people with his misguided efforst than the world will ever know.

  • o someone a big man hiding behide his computer

why dont you go fight that war you like pussy

  • Why are we broke?

  • @LINAL0930 You sorry little idiot that can't think for yourself.

  • @czubspenx Puppets like Bush and others are serving the interest of the evil rotten scum behind the curtains who are deciding whats happening in the World and dont care about the people!

They staged 9/11,they are poisoning people with fluoride, vaccines, chemtrails, preparing mass depopulation of the World.....Global warming, swine flu propaganda and more!

People need to stop being ignorant and start waking up!!

  • @czubspenx I agree with everything you wrote,USA would be a better country if it had never invaded Iraq and Afganistan and I also agree with Ron Paul, occupation of other counties will only create more enemies,it is a blow back, terrorism are the consecuences of repeated occupation and oppression of other nations by USA and Israel.

  • @czubspenx Totally agree. Bush was a bumbling, stumbling and fumbling idiot that, in MY opinion is the one that sealed all the cracks in the rest of the world in hating our guts. Bush was, and is an idiot, but Obama is a slick-talking shyster. All he does is flap his pie-hole. Never shuts TF up, but is rapidly taking away our freedoms. We absolutely MUST voice our opinions to the elected leaders (like Ron Paul, Marcy Kaptur, Dennis Kucinish, and so on) that will listen, and fire the rest!

  • @czubspenx - with the support of the american people all of this was done. so suck it up ... you americans caused this not just George Bush. Take some responsibility for electing a person who was willing to commit war crimes in the name of america - quit bitching and force your government to return your troops to american soil. whilst you're at it - get them to keep all american troops ONLY on american soil. otherwise you guys just kill innocent people

  • now there is a brave man!

  • Kucinich is a self proclaimed socialist. Why do we care what he thinks? His ideals are contrary to this country's constitution and to freedom of the individual and where excatly does he get the 1,000,000 figure? Would all these people be alive now if it weren't for the war? Maybe if any of these people would take part in their destiny we wouldn't have send our sons there to die for them. Maybe they just don't deserve/want freedom.

  • Apart from that what you say is illiterate, it makes no sense whatsover.

  • "His ideals are contrary to this country's constitution and to freedom of the individual"

It is indeed laughable how he waves the constitution around and brags how he carries a copy of it with him all of the time. In his entire congressional career, how many times has he supported and voted for something that is completely unconstitutional? There must've been quite a few. Apprently he just cherry picks which parts of the constitution he chooses to obey.

  • the 'heroine' business? you mean the cia is involved in the business of creating female role models?//Egad!

  • This probably hits home for a lot of people. Hell my best friend went to Iraq for 2 years. Thank god he came back. But I live in Oklahoma (McCain won every county in our state) and we are getting a little wary of the war too. Personally I don't want to leave Afgan. just from the history perspective I want to win in Afgan. The russians failed in the 80s so I want the US to win but want us gone just as bad

  • He forgot to mention that the CIA is involved in the heroine business in Afghanistan.

  • Excellent speech, very true.

  • "not by the example of our power but by the power of our example". Bill Clinton

Biggest con of the 20th century = Iraq war

  • "Biggest con of the 20th century = Iraq war "

Actually thats the 21st century. (unless you are refering to operation desert storm in 1990)

  • i noticed that right away but didn't feel the urge to delete and rewrite it. good catch though.

i should have said probably the biggest con of all time.

  • I think that would be Darfur.

  • no. Iraq war in my opinion

  • Good Speech, but the Corporations has already made their decision and the President of USA complies whether the people likes it or not. So as usual, this speech will go to deaf ears.

How about another speech ? Wait a minute, what's the point ??

  • Comment removed

  • I really think that Cspan should periodically pan out the camera so we can see how many reps are there when these guys are speaking.

TELL IT LIKE IT IS DK!!! I swear if you and Ron Paul ran together as independents in 2012 there would be no stopping you.

  • Brilliant speech.

  • We must. Bring home all our troops from around the world. All of them. From Iraq. From Japan. From Europe. From So.. Korea. From everywhere. We must close our borders. CLOSE them. No one in. Out only. Build up our military. Build our manufacturing base again.

We must build up our military. We must become energy independent again. Oil, gas, coal, nuclear. Improve our agriculture and water usage. Deport all activist environmentalists, communists, socialists, homosexuals. Restore America.

  • poop

  • Korean War vet here. Yu guys arguing against America's involvement in Vietnam or in Iraq or in Afghanistan are a bunch pf jokers. Jokers.

Now, however, we are forced to pull in , tighten our belts and try to weather the storm. We have a communist government now trying to destroy capitalism. First order of business is the get rid of the interlopers, the communists, running , ruining, our government. Then, we are still broke and under developed, so we must do these things for some years

  • jeez, i was going to demonstrate how stupid you are to yourself, but you're too damn stupid to be aware of how stupid you are.

  • We cannot hide behind our borders while our nose is up the middle east's ass.

  • This guy is an idiot! All the liberals' ideas look good on paper but they are unrealistic. The reality is that we have to go to war at times not only for our own protection but also for the protection of other countries. As the country with the most powerful military in the world, we sometimes have to be the "big brother" for those who can't protect themselves and for the greater good. This guy is uninformed and irrelevant.

  • IQ test can't even measure my dick let alone my intelligence. Pick a game, make sure you are good at, pick your best game, and then i'll beat u at your own game.

  • You'd be taken more seriously if you restrained from the profanity.

Anyway, regardless of how many killed, in an unjust war, even one killed is immoral.

  • It was NOT unjust. It is and was a just war.

  • Fukkk you racist piece of shit. Blind mother fukkker. Who the fuckkk cares !!!

  • You'll have to back up such a claim.

The burden is on the attacking nation, not the victim nation.

  • Blackwater is operating within the US in intelligence operations.

  • I'm not a liberal. I am an informed citizen with a brain. We invaded a country, spent trillions doing that, 5,000 dead American soldieirs, 30,000 severly wounded, hudreds of thousand dead Iraq's, no end in site and just all done by Bush and cronies hyping the info. Bush is the real terrorist.

  • wikipedia search Iraq war. i challenge you to a game, any game for the claim of who is smarter.. loser is a stupid fuck winner is a smarter stupid fuck. Do You Accept? Or do you cower cause deep down in your heart you know you ain't much smarter than your little sister.

  • I wonder how many died from cruise missles being shot into the heart of Baghdad. Hmmm? Wow, the more I think about it, the more I think we are the terrorists. Dropping cruise missels on unarmed, helpless citizens sounds like terrorism. What do you think? Does it really matter if it's 200,000, or 500,000.

  • The congress and the senate have been paid off by coporate America and special interests to keep the perpetual wars going. Special interests and coporations make billions off of the needless conflicts. It's so disgusting and 90% of the American people don't have a clue.

  • czubspenx

Dont forget the private bankers, aka the Federal Reserve. The Rothschilds, Rockafellers, Warburgs, Leman Bros, etc...They are behind all of this. And yes the corporations too.

  • Yes, I agree. Do you think the Americal people will ever do their homework and get informed about what's really going on in the world? I think 90% of the people don't have a clue.

  • czubspenx

Yes some will wake up, but NO many will not. There so enveloped with American Idol, sports, and everything else thats irrelevant. I watched CNN and other news agencies last night for the first time in a while. All they could talk about was Tiger Woods. This country is doomed.

  • Mainstream media in this country are in the back pocket of the politicians. Investigative reporting is a thing of the past. All they do is make the news and not report the news. How they call themselves journalists is beyond me.

  • Wall street is satans children.

  • OMG! Dennis is like another Ralf Nader!

You say lie, I say just cause. F.U.

It's great to watch the radical left getting pissed off at our leftist President.....

    Worst President ever!

  • I bet if we quit "helping" them, they would leave us alone as well. After all, what are the going to do? Teach their camels to swim.

  • And we wonder why these people hate us.

  • dr71956

I dont think that American soldiers have killed one million innocent Iraqis, but I do know our government gave Saddam WMD's to use as genocide on others. I also know that for every "terrorist" killed, there are many more civilians killed. Which begs the question: How many more terrorists have we created?

Also, our sanctions on Iraq killed many, including children. Sanctions punish the people NOT the government.

  • Oh, and by the way, why dont you enlighten the rest of us as to where you get your reliable, unbiased, definative news? The Enquirer?

  • dr71956

Please, NO more contributions to the gene pool. Remember there are no lifeguards.

  • In all honesty, this is why some fail to evolve. Where have you people been and how did you get so brain washed? The proof is right in front of you, and NO its not the TV. GOOD NIGHT, FUC@#$% Idiots are everywhere.

    I see dumb people.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

I think you know where you fall.

  • dr71956

Dont stop at wikipedia, keep clicking on links. I no I'm trying to use words less then to sil ables.

  • Tony Blair admitted today for the FIRST time that he would have removed Saddam Hussein even if there were no WMD's.......He was leaned on by Bush and Cheney to support the U.S.A. for a share of the oil and the promise that he would become very rich when he finished his term of office.....Blair has now made 50 million dollars in the last 2 years, giving lecture tours. Over 4 thousand U.S. troops have perished in Iraq. They are still dying today in afghanistan with there British brothers in arms.

  • dr71956

I did the work for you Google this

"how many iraqis have us killed" without the quotation marks, you fuck tard. Then click on the Wikipedia link.

    Seriously, you are a douche.

  • 20,000 US military were killed in Iraq war. Lowest estimate of Iraqis killed in war is 100,000, highest is 1.3million. Are you telling me we are only killing iraqis at 1-5 ratio. 1 of us die for every 5 of them? Bullshit, we are going like 40-1 or better. war on terrorism is a lie, war is terrorism.

  • dr71956

Silly Goose. Look it up the information is out there. Do you live in the Bible Belt?

  • Sadam Hussein killed 5000 Iraqi citizens. The U.S. military killed over 100,000 Iraqi citizens in response to Hussein's killings and his threat to use super-weapons. If WMDs are supposed to be a deterrant for war, then why are the existence of WMDs causing war?

  • dr71956

You douche. Look at the statistics. Here is something...educate yourself.

    watch?v=9csZhWqHhGE

How many American civilians has terrorism killed since 2002?

Why did our government finance al qaeda up until may of 2001?

What is the civilian/terrorist kill ratio?

Maybe if you knew the answers to these questions you could comprehend where the rest of us are coming from. Don't believe me, google it you fucking idiot.

  • It's ok to kill those in the voluntary defenses of this country since they volunteered. They are dying for the rich cats of this nation, after all they are being paid better than the contractors. Yeah Right!!!!!!

  • Jews are the problem, Jews and Anti-Semites!!!

  • uh, yes, they can. There are more than enough indendant studies to verify this fact. It's up to you to look for it. No thanks to the US armed forces who does't keep track of collateral damage. You know what is patriotic? The rule of Law. The Iraq war has been a disaster for most of the world, and is easily proven to be based on total lies. You want to support this atrocity? Go right a fucking head. You're already on the wrong side. Fuckin enjoy.

  • Lol, fuck you're an idiot. Which lives are the ones he saved again? The NIE in 2002 told him that terrorism would rise exponentially if he attacked Iraq, so he invades, and the result was as expected. Why would you say such a dumb fucking thing like you did? The ignorance and stupidity of Americans can never be overstated....you are a perfect example...thanks for coming out.

  • then why didn´t Bush just say so, if it was for preventing Saddam from raping and comitting genocide against his own population, as you say?

If the war wouldn´t have been based on lies, you would have got at least a point, even if it would still be quite small, as then there would come up the question, why Iraq, and not other countries, where the people suffer as much or even more under their goverment?

  • biggesttrucker

Are you an idiot as well? Look at the comment I left dr71956. Watch the video and tell me how many countless lives Bush saved. We supplied him with the wmd's, remember?

  • Obama's regime knows it is financially insolvent and is securing Afghanistans' lucrative opium producing areas as a revenue source. Next on the list is seizure of Iran's oil and gas industry.

  • hats off to this man

  • Go Dennis!

  • ooooo real news---for a minute there, i thought the most pertinent things in the world were the movie Twilight, Tiger's Affair, and Obama bowing---at least we found the weapons of mass distraction ;)

  • Are you Obama voters having trouble getting your suicide vest to go off.

  • SO glad Congressman Dennis Kucinich

    stands for my state

    GO OHIO

stop this killing of are troops and bring them home

  • The war on terror is also a war based on a lie. We better figure this out or we will be setting the stage for complete tyranny at home as well as abroad.

  • The Bush Administration presented "proof" that Saddam had WMDs. The reason we went in there was to find the WMDs. THERE WERE NONE! Look up lie in the dictionary fucktard! Presenting false evidence that you know to be untrue, telling the American people about Saddam trying to get nuclear materials from Africa when it never happened is a fucking lie. Get your head out of your ass!

  • You tell'm Andrew!

  • No, there were WMDs.

They found about 500 old leaking chemical weapons that couldn't be used. But he still had them.

Okay, maybe we killed more people than those WMDs, but as long as we got rid of 'em.

  • Crazy!

  • CommonSenseJoe has no sense. The pre-emptive strike on Iraq, which is illegal under international law, was a huge mistake that has cost this country and many other severe problems plus all the monetary problems we now have. There is not one good thing that had come out of this war. In fact, everything about it is evil and wrong. Bush is the terroris of all terrorists. In fact, he is the mother of all terrorists.

  • Well, the Taliban is out of power in Afghanistan and Saddam is not in power anymore, and those are good things. I agree though, that more bad than good has come of these wars. Bush did it to increase the power of the executive (him). It's no coincidence that the greatest increases in presidential power come during war. And they never go away.

  • This country is flat ass broke and we're nation building in the mid east. It's totally insane, to say the least and you say this is a good thing? Please, no more comments.

  • Read my whole comment please.

  • I did read it. Now, please read this...

This country would be a thousand times better off had we never invaded Iraq. That's the bottom line.

  • Totally NOT TRUE!

  • Let us see how many errors you have in one post:

We were already at war with Iraq and maintained combat operations in the No-Fly zones.

It was not illegal by our laws or international law.

It has kept us safe and NOT caused our monetary problems. Congress spends too much on unnecessary things.

  • Sadam / Iraq was not a threat to this country. Iran is not a threat to this country nor is Pakistan and Afghanistan. It's a total joke that this country should go broke screwing around in the mid east. This country needs to mind it's own busines.

  • We cannot hide behind our borders and hope that they will not attack us. We tried that and ended up with 911.

No one knew what kind of threat Saddam was because he no longer allowed the monitoring and inspections he agreed to. WMDs are not something you can risk, even a little.

  • The war in Vietnam was based on a lie. Google it if you don't think it was so. 55,000 dead American soldiers plus a million plus Vietnamese. Remember this...it was based on a lie. Don't believe one thing this government puts out there. It's all BS. Just like Sadam having WMD's, it's all BS. It's all about banks, corporations, special interests, etc. This country is corrupt. Good bye and good night.

  • may want to mention it to make these retards aware, gulf of tonkin incident

  • @CommonSenseJoe U r an embarrasment to our society. Secular Iraq had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda/Taliban & hence the invasion of Iraq is the equivalent of amputing a leg to fix a headache. When people like u try to talk with authority about deep & complicated topics & use sweeping generalizations & conclusions, we end up with a really shitty debate. Policy decisions r often based on this type of debate. The result is an incoherant & convoluted foreign policy that is backfiring with a vengence.

  • Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich - our 2 most HONORABLE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS!

  • "W" admitted that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11/01. Saddam was a stong man who held all the Iraqi factions together in a peace. We invaded, killed a million Iraqis and brought chaos to Iraq. That's like someone killing everyone on your block to get rid of the bully who killed one neighbor. WE KILLED ONE MILLION IRAQIS because Saddam killed 10,000 Kurds!! Oh, yes, we are the good guys. The USA acted far worse than Saddam!! And we don't understand why other nations hate USA. Wake up idiots!

  • Very good comparison.

  • @Tov0voT

Right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder, who are you to claim that we are wrong?

  • A REPUBLICAN Administration used a UN Resolution, not the US Constituation and a legal declaration of war by our Congress, to justify invading Iraq. Fact: "W" admitted Saddam and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11/01. As each reason for the invasion proofed baseless we made up new ones. Would the police and Judge not punish me if I "preemptively" killed my neighbor because I thought he was planning to kill me? LOL. "W" let Osama Bin Ladin excape by redirecting resources to Iraq.

  • Bush called it a war, does that count as a declaration?

  • According to the US Constitution only Congress has the authority to declare war and to fund it. Congress let Bush run over them and manipulate UN Resolutions to justify preemptive war against Iraq, a nation that did not attack or declare war on the USA or our allies. Congress failed, too. Republicans used to champion the USA getting out of the UN, but "W" tricked it into providing him legal justification to attack Iraq. The UN Charter forbids declarations of war. W & Cheney are war criminals.
