I'm not sure who ever said more than 1 monitor is immersive. It simply isn't and detracts from the visual acuity. Having the monitor borders cut out portions of the video, detracts from the enjoyment of a game.

@Jason99942 What is seen on the middle monitor is what you see with one monitor, the two side monitors add to it. So no, you are wrong, it adds to the game. Turn off the side monitors and you have the exact same shit as before.

I have a 5870 as well and I have 2 26 inch monitors of 1920x1200. From what I've read I'll need a DP -> DVI cable for the 3rd monitor if I get a third one. Do I need anything else for it to work? Will the games automatically have the resolution option for the extra wide or do I need some extra software/hardware? Thanks in advance for the help from anyone.

@panterml thats correct, what iwe seen you need itherway an active displayport-adapter or a native displayport screen. So two screens connected to DVI and one to Displayport :)

if my math serves me right. all monitors have the same resolution thats a ratio of

1:1:1...since without eyefinity the ratio is 1 then why does eyefinity feel the need to strech the center image past its native resolution....

the card has 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 display port.

the eyefinity setup requires that one of your monitors be connected through the display port.

it's actually better, sinc the samsung has such a stupidly large bezel to put the center monitors bezel behind it and then bring the samsung monitor bezel all the way to the screen, then the bezel wont be so large

As long as you have a quadcore clocked at around 3.4GHz or higher with a minimum of 4GB memory you will be perfecty fine and be able to max any game out there. Just remember these GPU's are very power hungry they need other fast components (ie CPU, RAM, HDD) to be able to feed them the data they require. It would be like buying a Ferrari with the top speed capped at 60mph????

the bezels really do stop the feeling of immersion quite effectively. luckily, AMD has struck a deal with several of the major monitor manufacturers to produce screens with nearly no bezel.

I have a lesser rig adn get a steady 70fps in MW2 at 5769x1200, but Crysis crashed when my 1gb GPU filled with textures. The best i can mster with Crysis is 40fps at medium/high settings vs. 1920x1200 and 60+.

I never wanted another 1gb card until i got Eyefinity. Damnit.

All games were running at max settings. They all run great except for Crysis which lagged sometimes. Turning "Motion Blur" off makes it run smooth though.

If you have three 19" monitors, I would guess Crysis would run fine even with Motion Blur on (I like how the game looks better without motion blur anyways)
