  • why not watch it straight off YouTube?, or ... uninstall then reinstall your realplayer. there is no reason why it shouldn't play.

  • Agent 69 in blackface. Does not bode well.

  • Hey there..I've found a sm,all problem with the part 5 of 5 on Death's Door THE AVENGERS episode..My realplayer plays all the parts except for part5..I don't understand it. Can u tell me why that keeps happening..It happened on another episode on part 5 of 5 of The 50,000 pound breakfast aswell..It's very wierd that it should start to happen only now when I've downloaded lots of epidodes from another channel without any problems..Can u help me plse? ***HAPPY NEW YEAR***

  • The Avengers is my favorite show of all time. I enjoy so much watching John Steed and Emma Peel saving the world in such a sophisticated and capable style.

As a young girl in the 60's, Emma Peel's character was the first I ever saw on TV that conveyed a truly capable woman. I grew up wanting to be like her.

  • @TheInterestinggal I like Cathy Gale also very awesome

  • Darn colour episodes.....

  • Diana Rigg...Linda Thorson....enough said.

  • 8:05 to 8:55 - a cute way to introduce Tara, but a sad scene as it's the beginning of the end of Mrs. Peel, and I'm still sad about that. There was no replacing her.

  • Sadly episode. Emma left and thats not good.

  • emma peel is the most rememberd woman on the show. i don't even know who tara king is. or the woman that was before the emma peel era. how many woman were on the show anyway?

  • @agwebkinz11 - Three women. "The Avengers" began on British tv in 1961 and ran for eight years before finishing in 1969. The cast was as follows

    Patrick Macnee as John Steed

Ian Hendry (1961) as Dr David Keel (Steed original crime fighting partner).

When Ian Hendry left, the producers thought it might be interesting to pair Steed with a crime fighting woman who could hold her own....

Honor Blackman (1962-1964) as Cathy Gale

Diana Rigg (1965-1968) as Emma Peel

Linda Thorson (1969) as Tara King

  • One thing I always liked about his show, was the sparse, open look of most of the exteriors in this show. (3:00 in being a good example) Very few extras seemed to be used in this series, (not only saved them some cash) but it conveyed a kind of creepy air to the outdoor scenes.

Thanks for posting! My favorite show of all time.

    Tha

  • @hibob418 Truer during the color season. The B & W episodes had it's share of extras during exterior shooting. A good example is Death at Bargain Prices. I totally agree, the sparsness give it that surreal look. Yes, quite creepy, indeed!

  • I love it.

  • Looks alot like Linda Thorson attacking Steed.

  • The Avengers, the Prisonner, the best British series !

  • I stared to have amnesia on Paxil. It was strange though because I wouldn't forget everybody, only certain people I knew for years. Someone would walk up to me and say "Hi" and I didn't recall them at all. I even started to forget things about myself. I was a student so I was starting to go to the wrong classes. Finally I walked to the Counceling Center and told them that I as suffering from extreme memory loss. They took me off Paxil.

  • Emma and Tara are quite different and rightly so. Diana is nine years older than Linda. I think both ladies gave us unique and classic episodes and this should be celebrated.

  • A brief pre- reference to Tara King- is it not she who attacks Steed at Mothers?

  • @blairmonster Yes, that is Tara who jumps Steed when he visits Mother. Tara apologises for it in a later scene.

  • The best show ever on television.

  • Any chance you could upload the episode: stop me if you heard this one, but there were 2 fellas? It's a Tara king episode and is my fav

  • A big THANK YOU for uploading this. It was my fave show as a kid. I love this show. I used to watch it after school in the late afternoon. It was and is so cool. I love that sixties mod look too. John Steed, Emma Peel and Tara King are the best characters ever on TV!

  • i love this show i used to watch it a few years ago when i was like 9 it never occured to to look on youtube for it. Thanks for uploading.

  • Can we just coment about the show. The world is to full of political views about race, we are all human beings, the idea of race is an educated sterotype. We are all humans, nuff said.

  • tar

  • and yet there have been black actors on the series. Some playing prominent roles.

  • Are you racist?

  • From The Avengers Show Bible: "Avengers Rule: NO COLOUREDS. The Avengers is an urbane, upper-class T.V. series. It is stiff upper-lip, brolly and bowler hat stuff. And... maybe a trifle snobbish too. A coloured actor is one of the taboos strictly adhered to by producer Brian Clemens, who has been involved with 'THE AVENGERS' since its inception seven years ago."

  • The avengers is over 40 years old.

  • Brilliant Phillipa, thanks.

  • i so wanted to grow up to be Emma Peel

Beautiful, great clothes, smart, funny and

    could kick some serious ass.

was it really too much to ask ;(

  • Emma Peele is very refine and classy, Tara King is very funny, very playful...yet very cute. I love both women!!!!

  • I used to watch this show as a kid, they used to show repeats of it on sunday evenings, and I'd run around the kitchen with anice-cream scoop pretending it was a gun. Those were the days, lol. Great show tho.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. It was my favorite show at the time and I really enjoyed seeing this episode again after all these years.

  • Why on earth did that comment get a thumbs down? Is politeness compltely unfashionable?

  • I think that the Emma Peel Era was the best.

  • Fantastic, thanks for posting these, not seen them since they were repeated on bbc2 in 1984/85! Stylish, witty, and great plots too.

  • I knew i was gay way back when, i wanted to play Mrs. Peel

  • i love Emma Peel

  • Such sweet memories

  • thanks darlings <3

  • Thou rockest.
