  • Now at what point are you suppose to crap your pants, while the lift is flipping over or after it hits the ground?

  • umm a forklift with out forks = lift!

  • Great video. I think it demonstrates what to do when a forklift turns over. Stay in your seat, hold on to the steering wheel, brace your feet and lean to the opposite side of the drop. He also did not tip all the way down to the ground. A forklift can tip over very easily. Dont put down this video. Constant Safety videos are a reminder and save lives.

  • Dang I need these! I flip my forklift at least once a week. One time I did a complete 360 roll. I didn't think it was possible. I lost 2 fingers in that accident. Don't worry though, I have 8 more. Well, 6 fingers and a thumb if you want to get technical. Anyways, I have to go now, bye. I'll tell Aunt Doris you said hi, and thanks for the cookies you sent, they were awesome!! I don't know what you put in them but they taste like carrots, my favorite!

  • one thing they teach us all when getting forklift ticket is to slow down around corners so pull your finger out and use your head and you won't need training wheels on a fork lift for stupid people

  • Maybe the person who added this video, would like to explain, But this is either a test to show that with these side bars (that maybe retractable, In which cause they sould have been retracted at the start) stop the forklift from tipping over, or just to show the driver what it may feel like. but he doesn't brace himself properly :/

  • Probably be a good idea to have it on a pivot with a little hydraulic cylinder that pops it out if a sideways tilt is detected... that way it wouldn't make the thing wide as hell...

  • DAS BOOT!

  • u call that a forklift id call that a golf cart

  • waar was dat voor ?

  • yes we all know a forklift can tip over. What else is new?

  • .....derp?

  • I think you'll find this is just a demo on how easy a forklift can tip over, its not a device to prevent it.

  • @TimmyToil guy with clipboard is an idiot for walking under the thing like that...

  • @TimmyToil that makes better sence, since if it were in motion and tipped, the forks would fold.

  • good for crushing workmates etc or for actualy tipping over a forklift , dont give up the day job ,

  • lol what a stupid idea. Good way to stab a pedestrian if a forklift swerves out of the way of one. Shoulder restraints, enclosed cabs or better driver training is a better direction.

  • crap try 2 fit in a tite hole with that crap on the side both side makes f l t extra 5 ft lol dont go on the dragens den with that lol

  • On the working version id have it activate after a sensor detects the forklift has gone over a certain degree threshold.. So it only trippers and pops out if the forks gonna tip

  • what the ?

  • Nope, you are always to grip the steering wheel firmly and just ride it out.. One of the things they always teach you when you go for forklift certification is that if it tips do not try to tip it back by going on the opposite side.

Have you ever driven a forklift before?

  • @kc9fsh Yes, I drive a forklift every single day. I don't mean WHEN its tipping try to sort it out, I mean when you KNOW your fucked then you grab the cage frame on the opposing side of the fall. It was in my test... and the fact that my comment got 2 thumbs up probably means that your wrong.

  • Bro your comments both got 1 thimbs down... learn to count

  • training lessons !!!!!!!

what to do when forklift flips on the side

  • stupid idea... just makes your truck wider and harder to negotiate round a tight busy warehouse.. let alone peoples safety......

just drive normal and dont be a cock piece... and things will be okay.

  • @Overst33r those side things are meant to come out when the fork lift is about to flip over. Otherwise they are folded. I guess...

  • @Overst33r well said , if your a good enough driver there shouldn't be any accidents in the first place .

  • Thats a spart idea they should make that so say you are going to tip you push a button and those arms come out on both sides or something i dont know.

  • a spart idea?

  • yess this is an forklift without the forks

its a test for what you most do if you flip on de side

    cursusday for the forklift

  • Two guys with a rope pulled it down-it can't possibly be a forklift. There are thousands of pounds of metal on a small forklift alone for load ballast, totally stripped down it would take another forklift to pull one down. It looks like a golf cart to me.

  • probly removed the battery

  • it's not. Is it a baggage cart from an airport/railway station?

  • what kind of machine is that? probably just a forklift without the forks and all?

  • I think they are pointing out that when you have a load on the forks that's high up, there's a greater chance that you can tip over.

  • Is this a demonsrtation vehicle to simulate a rollover?

It's startling that it took such little force to overturn it.

    Interesting.

  • I don't think it's as heavy as a normal forklift. It's bouncing a little after the metal bars hit the ground - look at the front wheel.

And also - the wheels would have been damaged after a few rollovers, if not the first one if it was of the usual weight.

  • Oh, right, it appears to be an armature, or a mock up. Also as someoen else pointed out, the forks, etc. are missing.

Still a good demonstration and hopefully will prevent injuries.

  • it probably lacks the weight on the back of it.

  • kann ich auch
