Every time Claudio sings it feels like hes telling a story within his lyrics. He uses metaphors and descriptive words almost like a writer would. I heard his albums are suppose to be about science fiction trilogies but I'm not so sure. His lyrics may not make sense but they have a meaning behind them.

@BassKitty1 technically he is telling a story, i mean amory wars is a direct line to his music, not to mention IKSE3 comics. all of them are reflected through the music, since well. the comics came before the music. Claudio just wants to tell their story through his eyes, and how he truly feels about them. Delirium trigger is a damn good example, as well as everything evil, just about the monstar virus

i think people are forgetting that the backup singers are a product of the band's vision for this show, so for this concert they're as much a part of the band as anyone. and i personally think they fill in nicely & for all the parts when claudio overlapped his own voice on the cd's...they make it sound more like the cd version without sacrificing the live music feel.

The backup singers ARE talented, but I still think they hurt the performance. Claudio's voice on those notes has always been intense, pure, and piercing. Now they harmonize. I think that its fine to have the girls in there, but that it would remain more true to the way Coheed has sounded if they just backed him up on his own notes, instead of with harmonies. It softens it too much.

They may do Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness as a comic as well, because the Graphic Novel is a major pain to find these days

if youve watched the WHOLE neverender...he has three basses sitting on stage. all 3 are fender jazz basses. 2 are the deluxe model black basses with tortoise shell pickguards, and the 3rd is a maple with a black pickguard, and black big-block style inlays. its jsut an observation, that he has not yet used that maple bass. :P

"Back-up Singer" is a shit job to have, plain and simple. People are always going to say you suck or you're trying to steal the show.

As a generality, I'd like to give those Bopsy-twins an over all 7/10 for the entire body of work at Neverender. They're not very intrusive/in your face, they're hot and they have nice voices, even if this song didn't work out so well for them.

I'm glad they've pretty much stopped doing this song live. Claudio's vocal performance is just consistently bad on a few songs, and this is one of them. I know this song demands a lot vocally, but I'm stumped as to why he struggles to hit virtually every high note in this song, and then nails them on The Running Free. It actually does get pretty good at the closing part of the song though.

I used to not like the backup singers, but they're starting to grow on me.

Parts of certain songs were never sang live, and that's changed with their help.

For example, in The Suffering: "Oh where have you been if it hurts to be forgiving?"

In Wake Up, while Claudio is singing the pre-chorus: "I'd do anything you want me to."

Just give them a chance.
