I prefer her live to her studio album, you can actually tell that shes scottish in her live performances, the accent is removed so much on the CD

I absolutely love her songs and have listened to her album over and over again, but i heard her live in The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen just after Mr Rock & Roll came out and she wasn't too good to say the least :-( Her voice sounded so different from what it did on the album. I was very surprised.

I actually really agree. I LOVE her CDs and I much prefer her more gentle studio voice... I don't think that she needs to work harder to sound good, necessarily, I think it's just that she adopts a different style which is toned down for the recordings. And i MUCH prefer the toned down voice - but she's still one of my favourite recording artists at the mo.
