I bought a gsxr1000 k4 with a motogp pipe and dbkiller. I thought it was slow until the dyno guys took the baffle out prior to tuning it. Baffle in...111bhp, baffle out...154bhp!!!! 43bhp in 10 seconds!

@markmywords312 i'm sorry but how can you sit behind a computer screen and tell 133,000 people a gsxr 1000 is slow, with or without a sports exhaust these bikes are anything but slow, mine still has the standard pipe and hasnt been tuned at all and is very much capable of 180mph, and i dont care who you are or how good you are on a bike, 180mph is fast

Would you say the GSXR1000 is the better option out of all the litre bikes in terms of seat height/width and the stretch to the 'bars? Also did you have this bikes height altered in any form? lol i never realized until now that owning my 06 gixxer1000 was irresponsible and to make matters worse i am 51, major crime here,lol. Any way i love the rizzla colour and the other mods, i am tempted to put that colour on mine. I find i am more relaxed riding my litre bikes(yeah, another infraction as i have a few) than i am when aboard a 600. its all in the head and right wrist though.

@jhb972 If your starting out the 600 is a great bike. if your going for the 750 my advice would be to spring for the 1000.

I always had v-twins until I dropped to a gsxr600, however I found this a bit flat and had a power commander, race pipe etc fitted and improved it no end. I always regretted not going straight for the 1000 and when I saw this bike it was a must have buy...lol Be safe...Mike

I'm actually starting out because I've had a dna 125cc before (hybrid sport bike/scooter) and I'm entering the super sport world but I don't want something to kill me straight away lol but yh I think I will go for the 600 and wait for 6-8 months and then spring for the 1000cc. Mike-Ive fitted yoshi race cam kit-K&H race filter and PC 5( I already had the midpipe when it was delivered) its really worth the dosh as its transformed it from a fantastic and rare road bike to a all show AND go road bike. Fitting brembos in the spring to cope with it :)
