i wouldn't mind if xtians said that they are anti-abortion but when they say they're pro-life, that's a serious insult to people's intelligence. to be pro-life one has to be anti-war and a strict vegan, one has to be a very conscious consumer and the vast majority of christians aren't. they're NOT in any way pro life, they're just anti abortion and they think that makes them morally superior, they have no truly ethical non-violence context for their so called values

Silverman's opening statement covers exactly why I spend so much of my time on YT trying to bring reason and logic to the table. As a bio teacher, I face students every day who cannot accept my lecture material because of the bull they were fed, as truth, by their clergy and equally delusional family members. Child abuse cannot be tolerated. I have now changed from a quiet, respectful atheist to an anti-theist. I cannot stay silent any longer.

Anytime someone instills falsehoods into an impressionable young mind, making them accept fairytales as true, I posit this stifles their development and cognitively impairs them for the future. Also, using fear of damnation and torture for questioning these untruths, just solidifies the damage.

Dinesh tries so hard and looks so earnest as he pushes his weak ideas, getting crushed everytime..he still looks like he's saying "But I am a real boy I am. please believe me." He always looks especially lost when against Hitch who just deflates him everytime.
