I noticed that Einstein wrote in his autobiographical notes:
"Out yonder there was this huge world, which exists independently of us human beings and which stands before us like a great, eternal riddle, at least partially accessible to our inspection and thinking."
The part about the world existing independently of observation seems at odds with other comments he made - did he later change his views? I'm not sure in what year the above quote was written, but it is a genuine quote.
@huey....try not to focus on what it was like for Tom, try to keep an open mind for what it will be like for you. if ur finding it boring i would suggest that u are not in the meditative state yet. perseverence iss the key. understand and accept this work takes a long time, and just get on with it. good luck
The Q&A at the last 30 mins or so of the vid was really great, I've never heard Tom give an unsatisfactory answer to any question posed to him - it really does seem impossible to find a logical flaw in MBT. I only wish meditating wasn't so damn boring, for me it is nothing like how Tom describes his exposure to it in Book 1 of the trilogy.
Ya meditating can still be boring for me as well, binaural beats are awesome however. try those out. Also I've found that just concentrating my intentions on being a good person in all my daily interactions, rather than kind of looking forward to an escape into the lcs, has made it actually easier for me to be in a consistent meditative state throughout the day. It was counter intuitive for me.
thank you Mr Campbell , again
