Think TG is Thyrogolulin - which should be low if the thyroid cancer was surgically removed and residue destroyed with radio active iodine. At first I thought this video was really in bad taste and then I thought it was soooo funny and clever!!! I am a thyroid cancer survivor - (and hope to be one for a good while yet)!!
It has been 6 years and they still can't get my levels right, my synthroid usually has to be adjusted on a regular basis. I went from around 150 pounds to 282 pounds in a short time. This has really destroyed my life.
I was denied treatment for a year after surgery. I was given such a high dose of rad, that 24 hours later I could not walk and was in a wheelchair. I didn't walk for 2 years after that, and was labled with 'fibromyalgia.'
Now most have the I-131 radiation therapy 6 weeks after surgery. What are your predictions on those who don't have it at all? Or ones that are denied treatment by their insurance against doctors orders?

I would rather be dead than 285 lbs. Taking out my thyroid ruined my life.

Don't forget about medullary thyroid cancer. You need to monitor calcitonin levels for that. Monitoring CEA is probably not a bad idea either.
