Using the strings by referencing acording to app for dummies, allows your app t be more portable t other languages. Not just if your boss changes the name etc.

it should be noted that now instead of fill_parent android uses match_parent for no new reason, both still work, but it is recommended that you should switch over

invalid command-line parameter: Files.

Hint: use '@ foo' to launch a virtual device named 'foo'.

If anyone is getting a error when they are launching emulator and the error states: "Invalid command -line parameters: Files"

The issue is the SDK is located in your Program Files folder. To fix it, close out of the SDK and AVD manager, click windows, prefrences, android tab, and change the SDK location to either:

C:\PROGRA~1\Android\android-sd­­k If the SDK is in the Program Files folder.

C:\PROGRA~2\Android\android-sd­­k If the SDK is in the Program Files (x86) folder.
