While searching for FF music I stumbled onto this video. Now, I can hardly get enough. Every time I'm on my computer, I have to see it. I may not be an expert in video creation, but I think It's just great. I hope it never gets taken off. If it does I will be as sad as when I saw Aeris die. She was my favorite character in that game. For people who go "but Aeris loved Zack!" and "but Cloud loved Tifa!", I honestly don't see what's so hard to understand. Do you have some sort of belief that people only fall in love once and that's it? Because that's not how it works, and Cloud x Aeris is proof of this. Aeris was in love with Zack, but then fell in love with Cloud. Cloud was in love with Tifa, but then fell in love with Aeris.
There was a rumour that Cloud/Tifa was confirmed, but it really wasn't :) it's still up to the player to chose for themselves. I doubt SE will ever state who Cloud loves (and the game would lose a LOT if they did)

I cried. I will admit it. I have always been an Cloud Aerith couple fan girl and always will be. ShoeLovingPrincess is right in what she said. Aeris loved Cloud Cloud loved Aeris. This is the most touching Clerith video I have seen. And I have seen a lot of them. But none have moved me this much to actually make tears fall down my face... Oh and when Aeris died Cloud did get feelings. To quote him, "what is this? What is this feeling? My mouth is dry my hands are trembling my eyes are burning!"

@theyknowit ...k you seem... young... so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't around when 7 came out. 7 broke more barriers than MLK Jr. It has about 20 "firsts" with regards to how groundbreaking it was for the genre. In X, Rikku/Tidus was never even really hinted at. Zack and Aerith were a good pairing at the time they were together. And Tidus only came back because someone let a shitty writer write FF:Powerpuff Edition... I mean... X2
FF7 was an overrated game. It wouldn't be nearly so overrated if the story wasn't flat depressing where most people flat died. In FFX, despite the triangle Tidus loves Yuna and ends up with Yuna. Rikku/Tidus is more of a love friendship & I dont care. Thus Cloud must end with Aeris, as Cloud/Tifa are the odd one out & mere love friends. FF7 released in 1997 was the original, which had a very very solid and twisted as fuck plot (absolutely genius) which left players wondering how everything resolved after the game ended. So Square released Advent Children (movie) as a sequel sometime around 2005. It mainly tied up a lot of loose ends regarding how Cloud felt about Aerith. On the FF7 10th anniversary, Square released Crisis Core, which went
back and showed the story of Zack, who was Cloud's best friend, and was also Aerith's boyfriend at the time. However, due to reasons that I won't spoil for someone who has yet to play it, Zack and Aerith couldn't be together, and years later, Cloud met Aerith for the first time and they fell in love over the course of FF7. Also, Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis are games in the FF7 storyline, but I don't think either had relevance to the Clerith pairing
Also, there are slight bits in the Kingdom Hearts series regarding Clerith which are said to have relevance to the actual story between them. And in the same general universe, FFX/X-2 happened sometime in the past of the FF7 world, and FFTactics happened sometime afterwards. There is very little linking them, and no relevance to Clerith (cept one scene in Tactics), but that's all I can think of from the FF7 compilations

If the new generation would actually play FF7, you will get all the answers you need about the whole love triangle thing. @chinolal The only reason (IMO) that any of the spin-offs exist is because Square saw how good 7 did and decided to run with it. The sequels and prequels shouldn't even exist. Its just gonna confuse people. They should just focus all their energies on a remake. Its just fiscally smart. Again, IMO, I think they all died in the end anyway, but thats a different discussion for another video. ;)

If ur not sensitive to the feelings one gamer has to a certain game (ff games especially) then ur not a real gamer. I just grew up on FF7 and the relationship between Aeris and Cloud, so to me, anything after 7 was just SquareEnix feeding off the 7 fans, especially since Aer says in the game her and Zack weren't serious, so...everyone has their differences of opinions. The reason why Aerith's death is so powerful is because they killed off the main character's main love interest. Period.
You have to be in denial to not see the romantic aspect of their relationship, or you did not read the dialogue (the fixed dialogue i mean, not those where you can choose what to say) in the game Cloud and Aerith will be the official couple if she didn't die. Note that I'm not saying Clerith is official, cos obviously she died, he lived and there's still Tifa.
I'm a Clerith fan but i can't deny that there is a romantic aspect to Cloud and Tifa's relationship too. But that doesn't mean that he is in a relationship with Tifa in AC, cos he's not.
C'mon peeps, a romantic relationship is not in your mind when you're suicidal! when you still can't get over the death of a girl that means so much to you.
But at the end of AC, we see that Cloud is cured and is ready to move forward with his life.
i say who cares who belongs with who, this video was amazing :) It's just the compilers view of the Cloud/Aerith relationship. They are not claiming that the story writer intended for there to be romance between the two. They just compiled a bunch of clips and scenes to represent their opinion. And again, i believe they did a helluva good job, regardless :)

Aerith and Zack weren't like siblings in Crisis Core. They were dating XP
However, Aerith doesn't belong to Zack. CC also showed her writing her last letter to him indicating she was moving on with her life. And it's confirmed in Nojima's novella Lifestream White that Aerith considers Cloud her lover...which means she did move on from Zack.

@theyknowit ...k you seem... young... so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't around when 7 came out. 7 broke more barriers than MLK Jr. It has about 20 "firsts" with regards to how groundbreaking it was for the genre. In X, Rikku/Tidus was never even really hinted at. Zack and Aerith were a good pairing at the time they were together. And Tidus only came back because someone let a shitty writer write FF:Powerpuff Edition... I mean... X2

FF7 was an overrated game. It wouldn't be nearly so overrated if the story wasn't flat depressing where most people flat died. In FFX, despite the triangle Tidus loves Yuna and ends up with Yuna. Rikku/Tidus is more of a love friendship & I dont care. Thus Cloud must end with Aeris, as Cloud/Tifa are the odd one out & mere love friends. FF7 released in 1997 was the original, which had a very very solid and twisted as fuck plot (absolutely genius) which left players wondering how everything resolved after the game ended. Also, there are slight bits in the Kingdom Hearts series regarding Clerith which are said to have relevance to the actual story between them. And in the same general universe, FFX/X-2 happened sometime in the past of the FF7 world, and FFTactics happened sometime afterwards. There is very little linking them, and no relevance to Clerith (cept one scene in Tactics), but that's all I can think of from the FF7 compilations

If the new generation would actually play FF7, you will get all the answers you need about the whole love triangle thing. Forget all the bulls*** spin-off crap that came after and tarnished the name of an amazing game that didnt need anymore help. All it did was further give anyone who already thought 7 was over-rated more gunpower. Cloud clearly fancied Aeris and Aeris said straight-up to Cloud that her and Zack were never a serious couple. And Cloud rejected Tifa at the end of the game.

When she met cloud, she said that there were similarities with him to zack, but also differences. These differences is what made her love cloud more than zack.

@chinolal The only reason (IMO) that any of the spin-offs exist is because Square saw how good 7 did and decided to run with it. The sequels and prequels shouldn't even exist. Its just gonna confuse people. They should just focus all their energies on a remake. Its just fiscally smart. If ur not sensitive to the feelings one gamer has to a certain game (ff games especially) then ur not a real gamer. The reason why Aerith's death is so powerful is because they killed off the main character's main love interest. Period.
You have to be in denial to not see the romantic aspect of their relationship, or you did not read the dialogue (the fixed dialogue i mean, not those where you can choose what to say) in the game Cloud and Aerith will be the official couple if she didn't die. Note that I'm not saying Clerith is official, cos obviously she died, he lived and there's still Tifa.

I'm a Clerith fan but i can't deny that there is a romantic aspect to Cloud and Tifa's relationship too. But that doesn't mean that he is in a relationship with Tifa in AC, cos he's not.
C'mon peeps, a romantic relationship is not in your mind when you're suicidal! when you still can't get over the death of a girl that means so much to you.
But at the end of AC, we see that Cloud is cured and is ready to move forward with his life.
A relationship with Tifa may be very probable.

They are not claiming that the story writer intended for there to be romance between the two. They just compiled a bunch of clips and scenes to represent their opinion. Lovely video/song with scenes edited to pair up Cloud and Aerith but meant in the game and movie for Aerith and Zack. I belong to the club with notions of Zack and Aerith being a couple. After waiting 4+ years and 89 letters later for Zack to return, yeah, I believe Zack and Aerith had a thing going. Emo Cloud comes from suffering the painful loss of two dear friends. The spikey-haired hero feels so guilty for letting Zack and Aerith down, useless, helpless, unable to save them. He has sinned.

However, Aerith doesn't belong to Zack. CC also showed her writing her last letter to him indicating she was moving on with her life. And it's confirmed in Nojima's novella Lifestream White that Aerith considers Cloud her lover...which means she did move on from Zack.
