@innerbeautyfirst -Thank you! ...And you're right, I HAVE ALWAYS FELT that MY HAIR WAS BEAUTIFUL at EVERY STAGE... The thing is, though, there are always haters of something about YOUR HAIR that you have to combat with your own sense of self-pride.
Keep enjoying your sisterlocs. Glad more of us are going natural in some why or form. (I have an afro & am thinking about sisterlocs). I like all types of locs as different thickness/lengths suits different face shapes/sizes. Your locs are beautiful on you so you made the right decision for you. Do you have home made shampoo/conditioning natural products suggestions for maintaining locs? (includes eg shea butter/castor oil/avocado/jpjpba e.t.c. Thanks
@jazzbb1 - Thx for the compliment on my SLs. To answer your question, I do not have home made shampoo. I prefer to use natural products without DEA or TEA or Lauryl / Laureth Sulfates (e.g., Naked Naturals), but I do use inexpensive Suave products (e.g., Daily Clarifying and their Tea Tree shampoos) as well and of course, the Sisterlocks shampoos and conditioners.
your locs arent ugly at all, they are beautiful. idk why but i jus love thick locs, most people like really thin locs but i like when women have THICK locs. im jus weird like that lolz
i want to get sister locks!!!i think they are so beautiful!but my husband thinks they are ugly and says he'll chop my hair off while i sleep.i doubt it, but still...hopefully showing him this video can get him on board with my plans...if not, f it!i'm gonna get them anyways!
@nidagichole - It's tough when a spouse doesn't like something about the other... With Sisterlocks, he probably WILL hate it, like it, then love it b/c of how free YOU become throughout the process!! Trust me when I say.... YOU will have be confident in YOUR nappy hair FIRST and FOREMOST to ward off ALL naysayers seen and unseen. Honestly, YOU too may find that you hate, like then love certain points on your loc journey as well... KIT!
Thx for the compliment! More than a marketing gimmick, my title was to cause folks experiencing loc envy to just enjoy the ride unto loc maturation and work whatcha got at whatever stage you find yourself in! It's all about YOUR attitude. There will always be nappy-head haters out there. BUMP them! Do YOU!
I created this vid b/c I heard more than once from some of my dear newly installed Sisterlocks sistahs an expression of "dislike" with their PRESENT stage on the loc journey. So I just wanted to remind anyone with newly installed locs that at EVERY stage YOU CAN ROCK your locs. It's your SELF-CONFIDENCE that makes you SHINE loc'd, natural or not!
Your sister locs are too beautiful! Enjoy them, and continue to maintain them...They look GREAT! Thanks for the Pics
