The driver was tottaly inexperienced, the range could go down that hill easily. There was no spotter to tell him what to do either... Stupid attempt altogether. In the beginning he used the brakes, then he floored it. He was goind down too fast without any control. Instead he should have used 1st low, no brakes at all and let it roll, giving a bit more throttle every time it began to slide.
