  • The heat just makes your muslce relax a bit and therefore easier to work with but stretchin after a bath will do the same.if people feel great fantastic but be honest people respect that morei may try bikram myselfbut i am not leaving intelligence and scrutiny at the doorif i am respectful and kind i can and should question everything..by the way the way something makesyou FEEL is just that a feeling not exactly what is going on ..anyone who does not trust science has never practised science

  • This is great... I just got started in yoga and and I'm excited to try this one out as well.... my friend even hooked my up with some free yoga and sports gear from

    peerfly.com/x/0/3553/50223/

to get me really psyched up for it.... can't wait to lose those pounds...

  • Good way to meet girls? I'm thinking about taking this as a class.

  • I have run marathons and my first bikram class yesterday KILLED me. try it before you bash it.

  • @tootoo1upper Maybe try Bikram first... I don't even know why you've made any comment in the first place. It's yoga. Its peaceful and gives you incredible energy. Also relieves stress like crazy. Look at Bikram. a man his age shouldn't look as good as he does. You know How he got his green card by chance? Read his book, might help you with your incredible negativity on something you've, obviously, never tried. it's a natural form of health and wellness

  • obviously if you don't think this causes more calorie burning than normal yoga then you have never done either. I went to my first class not long ago and my heart was racing through out many of the poses, & may I point out that I am a relatively fit person. Also any athlete will tell you, your muscles respond better in warmer conditions than in colder. I don't know about any kind of detox, but using your body in that way, sweating that much & feeling yourself get stronger is extremely cathartic

  • Unless youv'e tried it you may not get the benefit of it!!! Stop bashing something. whatever floats their boat is fine. Plus i benefit from sweating a ton.

  • you have obviously never done it before. textbooks don't make you feel this good!

  • I love how people come out of their way to bash this yoga on a YouTube video. Anyone who practices it knows it feels great and their doubts disappear. Those who say the hot room doesn't make you more flexible. Really? Try to touch your toes in a 60 degree room, then try it in a 105 degree room. Read all the textbooks and journals you want, but don't knock it until you've tried it.

  • @jfitzsimmons2 That is true. See the world through your own eye. Modern society doesn't want that. So glad for this comment. Cheers and good day!

  • I love when people think others have found a way to "detoxify" the body when it has been doing it on its own for millions of years...

  • The easy way out is to listen to the skeptics, fall prey to the more is better hype, buy into prescription medicine and eat your way to happiness an your local McDonald's. That course will guarantee the shortest lifespan with the most costly outcome in terms of lost productivity and dependence on the Health Care system to society. Take a look at your life in the mirror. Do you like what you see? Take a look at any of the hot yoga videos. Do you like what you see? THINK it over. Take a chance.

  • Hot Yoga is not for everyone. If you do not have a disciplined mind then you are a poor candidate for this practice. The mind is what holds the body back from its potential. Your mind craves the immediate satisfaction delivered by our poisoned world. The body knows what it needs and tells you very clearly. Why do we smoke or drink or take drugs? Because the mind is addicted. Cancer, obesity, arthritis, heart problems are all manifestations of the poisons our modern world exposes us to.

  • A year ago I could not touch my toes or bend my knees or get out of bed without lower back pain. I go 2 to 3 times a week and it is all gone. Before trying this I thought the answer was aspirin, a better bed and massage. My Dr. told me not to ski anymore. After regular hot yoga I can ski, run, move and bend with ease, strength and confidence. If more people discovered the benefits of this the US would have a much better health care outlook and people would feel empowered to re-engage the world.

  • haters gonna hate

  • I hadn't heard of this until I heard somewhere that Benedict Cumberbatch said he did this to prepare for Sherlock.

    ...unf

  • I'd HARSH get a boner every stretch... no thanks

  • vid kept me glued to my seat great job

  • I love bikram yoga. so far i've only been twice though & it's not easy!

  • Sorry. I don't think I want to be in a closed-up room full of sweaty people where I constantly have to take deep breaths and all. That just sounds nasty...

    But to each their own...

  • This looks intense. I've only been through half a session in Yoga X and that was pretty tough by itself. My, but this looks rewarding. :)

  • the premises behind hot yoga is absolute bullshit, ask anyone with a working knowledge of thermoregulatory physiology.

  • @tootoo1upper where can i get more info on thermoregulatory physiology?

  • @missvandenis textbooks and journals are the obvious answer, most texts on exercise physiology have sections on thermoregulation as well. The literature is as clear as day: hot yoga does not cause more calorie burning, 'stretchier' muscles and ligaments or detoxification of any kind.

  • @tootoo1upper thanks a lot; my masseur said just the same

  • @tootoo1upper the heat is the obstacle. it's harder to do yoga in a hot room than it is regular hatha. as for weight, nobody said heat results in greater loss? it DOES however promote better flexibility. when you're warm, your joints expand. when you're cold, they contract. quite true of near anything, really.

  • The heat is hard and it is soothing. Try cooler clothing or less of it. Take a break then re join the class. You have to build up to it. In the long run you will be healthier as a result. You have had your entire life to go down the wrong path. Try it for a month. The worst thing that will happen is you lose a month of your life.

    @bvespertine

  • @sacrenatalsapps Are you talking to me? I'm a total proponent of Bikram yoga. I don't have a studio near me but I do hot power yoga at least 4 times a week.

  • Most text were written without the benefit of full understanding of the body in this sort or environment. It is ironic that the smarter we think we are the more we end up sabotaging our chances for success. It is so easy to talk oneself out almost any thing good for your body. Why do three member's of Obama's cabinet practice this regularly and say nothing to the public about it? Because their is no money to be made taking care of healthy people.

    @tootoo1upper

  • @sacrenatalsapps looook, it IS an important part of preparing for a workout that one warms up the body, but that is as far as it goes. Hot Yoga proponents say it increases calorie burning, but this is a total false statement. Being in a hot room does not increase calorie expenditure, that is simply not how human bioenergetics works. As for the sweating detoxing the body, this is childish pseudoscience.

  • @tootoo1upper Are you f-ing kidding me???? Obviously, you haven't been practicing consistently ;-00

  • @tootoo1upper I'm not sure what all is claimed as the benefits.. but sweating is one exit for toxins.. and humid air is good for cleaning your lungs. It's not complete bullshit.

  • @tootoo1upper try looking at the experienced teachers. they're unbelievably fit, high spirited, firm, positive, and have lives outside yoga. they also don't crap on about chakras and other superstitious nonsense

if that's absolute bullshit, sign me up to absolute bullshit

  • I'm definitely considering starting Bikram. The only yoga I've been exposed to is P90X yoga, so I'm a beginner all the way! Any suggestions?

  • @kbr2558 deffanitly give it a go. google your way to a local bikram yoga studio and give it a go. dont knock it after your first go either. you have to try it couple of times at least! good luck :)

  • Looking for a way to improve my health and well being, I'm considering doing this.

  • I tried Bikram for the first time last week, wow it was hard but i felt amazing when the class ended! I felt like a new person. It is better than having a facial, it cleans all your skin and all the stretching is sooo good! .... I love it

  • I would love to try it but I guess I'd be intimidated as a first timer n00b in a class where everyone knows what they're doing.

  • @dailyl0vebymonique i just had my first class yesterday, trust its not as scary as it seems. people r cool trust :D

  • Looke very hard, actually, but good

  • Comment removed

  • wow looks tempting!! i want to do it!

  • That shit is hard, I began to do it last month and I feel a lot better now :)

  • i just got back from my 2nd bikram yoga.. i wanna faint..man that was tough

  • wow, interesting thx

  • I've just started Bikram yoga, I'm in my 4th lesson now and I'm really enjoying it.

  • I've done yoga every day for 30 years now -- I cured HERPES -- lip AND genital – with a non-physical form of YOGA called immunics -- I've doing IMMUNICS since 1993 -- I haven't had flu since I cured the herpes – I've seen people cure CANCER with this –

I do yoga and immunics in short bursts – THROUGHOUT THE DAY – keep myself feeling great ALL DAY – FRIEND me on Facebook – Bayard Henry Barnes -- 813-672-3419

For lessons google IMMUNICS & CureDrive

  • @bayardhb yeah but will it blend?

  • i started practicing one month ago. Really really tough but makes you feel really great. i'm addicted to it.

  • really? what improvements have you seen?

  • @Mehandstuff you are seriously fucking gay, try it and maybe you won't make such immature comments faggot

  • this is amazing.

  • im a dancer and we have to do bikram yoga every week

  • where all da hot women at yo !!

  • @RJRenecke No one looks good while doing bikram yoga trust me!

  • @oldyellerproduction I couldn't like you comment enough times

  • In bikram yoga a person looses 730 calories in just one hour. Running one hour is only 530 calories.

  • i really want to try this!

  • Hate to bust your bubbles, but yoga does not help you lose weight. It's nothing but stability contractions and stretches. It's the DIET that helps you lose weight

  • @djrazr Not true - Bikram speeds up metabolism and you burn a tremendous amount of calories during a 90 minutes calss, certainly diet is just as important!

  • damn!!

  • who is the woman talking? i think she is the presentor of an australian health orientated tv show, anyone remembers the name of it?

  • i did moksha yoga for a month and the first few times I was on the cusp of passing out... NOT EASY! But once I got into it, I got fit rather quickly! Then I couldn't afford my membership... and it was all lovehandles from there hahah.

  • i told someone i practice bikrams yoga and he said "oh, yeah, I know that type of yoga. I call it the 'Smelly Yoga'. LOL

  • god i love that breathing technic, best workout of my life :) u feel sooo good after, it clears ur sinus', especially when ur sick. and it doesn't really smell that bad. i love HOT YOGA! u shud sseee the results of the people at my yoga class. guys are sexy, and girls have amazing figures.

  • @brunettegirl202

Oh yeah, will definitely clear sinus. I did a class a few weeks ago when my sinus were clogged and I spent an hour and a half with the wonderful taste of a sweat/snot cocktail, as my sinus drained back down my throat, and sweat ran into my open mouth; especially on the inversion poses.

  • can you lose a lot of weight doing this? along with a decent diet? :/

  • @xLavenderBlossomx HECK TO THE YES! ive been doing it for 6 months. with a good diet i lost 40 lbs! it feels so good, and it relieves stress

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Yes! You can burn up to 500 calories/class and after a week straight of doing it, I already noticed I had lost weight. Its one of the fastest ways to get in shape, in my opinion.

  • i tried bikram yoga at the start i didnt want to go becoz i was soo intimidated but later on it was really good . i stopped going coz of transporttion problems but i wudd recommend it

  • I can't believe you guys are arguing/having a pissing contest over what workout is more 'hardcore'! I do attend Birkram, it is brutal on some days, others are better, I listen to my body and that is what this yoga taught me. I live in Dallas, and we have many NFL and sports related players that workout w us! Being a Yogi is not for all of us...I personally love it, I was 165lbs, now i am 120lbs. I eat well, and workout! Bikram is my choice...you will gain flexibility! It comes with time!Try it!

  • I danced with yoga for 13 years before I went to a bikram class. I read about their class structure and was turned off. Then I met a friend, who happened to teach it, and I reluctantly took a class. It was challenging, but I could still sloppily make the postures. After 3 months, I found that I can develop my postures much better than in other classes, partially due to the repetition. My endurance and strength depends on how well i treat myself. I'm very exited to see my future progress!

  • i ve tried it some months ago and now i am addicted!

  • @cheesyPainfulPenis y don't you stop being a fucking racist!! idiot

  • @cheesyPainfulPenis why don't you take your racist comments somewhere else you pathetic lowlife.

  • @cheesyPainfulPenis Racist pig.

  • I am not as flexible as these people! Everyone in there is thin and look good. I guess I better stay in my spinning class so I could lose the weight.

Do you think doing this yoga could help heal, lose weight, and help over weight people??

    thanks for sharing!

  • I am not as flexible as these people! Everyone in there is thin and look good. I guess I better stay in my spinning class so I could lose the weight.

Do you think doing this yogo could help heal, lose weight, and help over weight people??

    thanks for sharing!

  • @jackies35

You don't need to be flexible to start, just like you don't need to be healthy to go see a doctor. You start from where ever you are and get better. There are a couple of people at my studio who have signifigant disabilities, one can't even stand up right; but they still do it.

I don't think you're going to get rapid weight loss, you will lose weight incramentally over time. If weight is a major thing, I'd still do so other cardio inconjunction with this.

  • Bikram Yoga is basically Yoga for retards i.e. very limited taking just a small amount of movements putting them in a sequence and doing in heat, whoopy do that's great. Despite strong marketing specifically aimed at very gullible Americans, it really is nothing special or unique. It is well known too that doing Yoga in such heat can cause severe flatulence, so not a nice environment to be in such heat with people doing rude smells.

  • meh, i'll stick to Ashtanga. I've read too many criticisms about this style of yoga (read about them if you're curious), plus the highly heated room & having to sweat that much just doesn't appeal to me at all.

  • so many sweaty women

  • First of all listen to the VIDEO.

Second of all you need to try it.

Third of all, it's a class for healing and therapy.

  • Bikram kicked my ass today!!!!

  • 25 people could not stand the heat and got their ass out of the kitchen.

  • trying to make the world a better place.... don't hate

  • the national debt, poverty, Iran's bomb, Al Queida, Palestine, Egyptian riots, income gap, unemployment, narco-trafficking... Is there is any other problem i forgot to mention that stretching in a really hot sweaty room won't fix?

  • "lipids and proteins are reorganized..." Holy Crap that is too funny!!!! What's next? "this pose cures liver cancer, heart disease, global warming, genocide, etc...."

  • who freaking cares?? if you don't like yoga or bikram or haven't even tried it, don't waste your time being a dick to the people who do like it.

  • if you want to see athletes who are strong, powerful, and every bit as flexible as these yoga weirdos look up Pyrros Dimas

  • Need to go to these classes now!

  • It's about healing... Not athletic :/

  • @Seth9261 have you tried it? It's extremely athletic! pro athletes usually can't make it through their first class without rests. e.g. swimmers, rugby players. They train at my centre

  • Yoga is new age hippie nonsense. India has been yogaing for 5000 years, and how many great, world class athletes have come from India? not a single one.

  • Well I am a nurse and a type 1 diabetic and I have done a lot of research and it is totally safe. It's no worse then any other form of work-out. Any kind of physical activity can be harmful to you. Physical activity can raise your blood pressure for some dangerously high. Hot yoga is just the same as going for a jog in hot weather.

  • Bikram yoga is not for pussies. Roll your mat up, and take a hike you shit-heads. Life is hardcore, and Bikram arms you with the tools you need to deal with it.

  • @oldyellerproductions Try full contact martial arts if you think you're that hardcore.

  • How exactly does it arm you with the tools you need to deal with it...

  • @oldyellerproductions I think, but not sure, that Bikram Yoga is nothing more than Hatha yoga done in the heat, right? Nothing new. I guess we could do yoga outside in Taiwan and it would have the same effect.

  • @oldyellerproductions You do realise you are still talking about YOGA right? If you want to be "armed" for the hardcoreness of life than i suggest some MMA class.

  • @milosQaX lol are you being serious?? Bikram yoga is 100x tougher than MMA! I doubt you've even tried it or you wouldn't be making such dumbass comments. MMA trains you to kick people in the face. Bikram trains you to deal with real life.

  • @squazzer And what else is dealing with life but kicking people in the face?

  • @oldyellerproductions - Asshole have you visited a Bikram Studio, the pussies do better than the cocks

  • In 10 days i will start bikram again. And then i hope to make a challenge. Jipppiiiehhh

  • Looking for a great yoga mat?

    selfTRAINERmat. com

  • is ths advertizing yoga?

    THATS NOT THE WAY

  • I have had bikram classes for 2 years and NEVER experienced this above.. Our room also smells good.

  • Actually that farting thing never really happens... except when the wind removing pose takes place. But that's still not that common.

  • Ive been 4 times and its never been a stench in the room or a disgusting feel. The ones making those assertions are the ones who have NEVER been. Grow up. Namaste

  • Comment removed

  • Don't let the heat or the potential smell prevent you from going. After the first few times, you get used to it. Just make sure to drink loads of water, before and after your practice.

I practice 3-4 times a week at a [not Bikram, but still hot] studio with cork floors that they clean between each class. There is no lingering odor. As for the indoor pollution, a lot of studios have some sort of air purifying system.

  • @Bickitori You'd think that people would put together for themselves that sweat = smell.

  • i do this class everyday.. and no one has yet to fart. and the smell is the smell of a wood sauna.

    and the results are amazing.

  • 37 Celcius or 98.6 Fah~ with humidity in an enclosed room full of people is BAD indoor air pollution. At that temp, just sitting in there for 90 mins would produce **sweat, increase heartrate, breathing and the other "goodies" that this video says comes from the yoga. People are confuse with profuse sweating and effacious exercises. Half the time, your mind tells you it is hot and that you should get out of the room. Try this yoga in yr own room and see if it gives the same **.

  • I'm a boy and I do Yoga and I hear that Bikram Yoga is extremely hard but I wanna do it!

  • this looks so relaxing.. i love it!

  • I tried it out yesterday. You feel really good afterwards! just the smell of stinky feet was bad :\

  • it's hard to concentrate to what she is saying because im imagining what it smells like in there.

this is something i would do ALONE .I dont want to be breathing in anyone elses farts, bad breath exhales,or heaven forbid, someone accidentally touch me with their sweaty germy body lol.

  • I prefer 85 to 95 degrees F for yoga with no carpet, positive/caring/spiritual instruction, and a dynamic variety of poses.

The Bikram carpet requirement is absurd. That's long-term storage of funky-smelling toxins for you to suck into your lungs. The same 26 poses are boring. The harsh Marine-drill attitude of many Bikram instructors is very anti-yoga. Yoga competitions are total BS.

  • i've been doing it now for 3 weeks and I've lost about 12 pounds or so; I like the benefits but man let me tell you....Before this, I use to be able to throw down with my girl after she would come back home from spinning. But ever since I started these classes, the only thing I associate sweat with now, is the scent of sweaty balls! So now, I can't go near her until she showers because the stink on her, reminds me of how much I want to vomit in my mouth, every time I walk into that Gym , LOL

  • geez, do you really sweat THAT much?

  • @trtennis17 No not THAT much. MORE.

But you have to drink a lot before you start. And also while practising.

But there are worse things than seeing beautiful women sweating.

  • @trtennis17 I do a different kind of yoga that heat their studio to 41 degrees.. compared to this one that is 37... yea, you sweat mad buckets!

  • @trtennis17 Hi;

I tried it tonight for the first time. I'm very physically fit, but I was struggling. I lost 2 lbs of water according to my bathroom scale. Sweat kept pouring into my eyes. The instructor kept saying..."Keep your eyes open"...!!!!! 90 minutes at 41 Celcius. gross.

  • @trtennis17 we sweat more than you can know unless you try it. My workout clothes I have to wring out before I put them in the bag because they are completely soaked. The rooms don't stink in studios that have good ventilation and filtration systems so it's important to check out the different studios to see who offers the most sanitary conditions. Also I read comments about the farting that goes on in class - its not really quite as bad as all that, it can't be helped and it's rare.

  • I already do 90minuets of dancing 3 times a week at college and i go to the gym once a week doing an hour there and then 30 minuets of swimming. My goal is to lose weight. My hips and gut is where i put it on n i really want to lose it. Ive started eating healthy again. I am going to start bikram yoga but i can only afford one session a week. Will this help me reach my goal of losing my hips and gut and other body parts become slender again?? :) i cant wait to try it :)

  • @kmmkmm1 To see results the bikram teachers normally suggest to make it twice a week. But when you make so many sports i think you will loose weight with one session. But of course it is important what you eat and how many. Try to eat more raw food like salads and fruits. If you will try it for a few weeks with 80% you will be as succesfull as the people i knew who achieved their dream figure.

And it is very easy to eat one or two salads every day. And this is not a "diet".

  • @honigdachsfan Thanks :) I might be able to afford 2 times week for 3 weeks but then it will have to go to once a week :) yer i never call it a "diet" always a change of eating style lol. Fingers crossed this works im very excited to see changing results after a few weeks of it :D

  • @kmmkmm1 I only meant that people often fear "diets" because of the Jojoeffect. I´m sure you will loose weight and have a lot of fun. Bikram also helps me to be a better dancer. My moving abilities gets better. Maybe you like to send me a mail in a few months about the succes.

  • @honigdachsfan Ohh i see :) i will do i'm reli excited to start , has it helped you get into all three types of splits? even though i have danced for long time i was hoping that this would not just help me achieve my dream body but also help me into splits :)

  • @kmmkmm1 I made fast progress with bikram. But i can´t go into splits up to now.

    Maybe in future. :)

  • @honigdachsfan how long have you been going for n how many days a week? n if you dont mind me askin was ure goal also to lose weight as well as to become more flexable? :)

  • @kmmkmm1 At first i tried to go 2 times a week but then i did it every day for nearly 4 weeks because i had so much energy. As i did Hatha Yoga i was more concerned in meditation and in health. I didn´t care a lot for flexibility of the body. After the 4 weeks bikram i had maybe 3 month with 2-5 sessions a week. But then i dropped it. Now i practise at home again. Especially meditation. But i like to start bikram in the winter.

  • @kmmkmm1 And about your question with the weight. I´m one of those guys i can eat the whole day and it doesn´t matter. But i made a lot experiences wtih eating. Espacially with raw food. There i met dozens of people who get rid of their weight very fast. And there were also people in the bikram classes who said that ( because of the bikram practice ) . I will not suggest to do the raw food thing 100%. But if you do it maybe 70% in combination with bikram you´ll get your dream body for granted.

  • @honigdachsfan ohh yes im filled with envy that your one of them people haha. its just im gonna pay for 11/12 sessions and im unsure wheather it would be best to used them like two/three times a week to shed the weight fast within 5 -6 weeks or over a slightly longer length of time say... 9weeks what do you think? :)

  • @kmmkmm1 The main reason shell be ever having fun. For me for a longer period of time it would be stressing to go dancing 3 times a week 1 time gym and swimming and make bikram twice a week. This stresses me even while writing it. But you´re not in my age hahaha and so you may have the power. Start to try 2 Sessions a week. And to increase your envy. Yesterday i ate 6 pieces of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. They said the rest of the cakes must be eaten and so i was their hero.

  • @honigdachsfan haha i would kill for some cake . yes i think ill try 2 times a week and ill pay for about 10 - 12 sessions and hopefully it will only take 6 weeks for me to shed the weight ive not got alot to lose and i do exercise often for me i mainly need to concentrate on not eating a whole sweet shop haha

  • @kmmkmm1 Eating a whole sweet shop. Very good idea. I do this tomorrow. :)

  • @honigdachsfan Sorry for that comment kmmkmm.

  • @honigdachsfan no reason to be sorry haha and thanks :)

  • I like to share some experiences which i made during bikram yoga.

    1) My goal was to make it twice a week. But then i had so much energy that i could make a challenge.

    2) I had some heart rythm problems in the beginning but that problem vanished after a few days. ( Some people say that hot yoga is bad for the heart.)

    3) I did yoga long time before but my progress with bikram was far better.

    4) The whole body changed positively.

    5) There were friendly people and nice girls ( not farting )

  • @honigdachsfan Ich korrigiere meinen Beitrag. Gepupst wird Gods own country nicht in Japan.

  • In India every yoga is hot yoga. They just need to turn off the airconditioning...

  • I did an hour session of bikram yoga in a sauna room at 104 degrees Fahrenheit with my lacrosse team...my body was punished.

  • the fact hot yoga is popular proves conclusively that too many people have too much money and too few brain cells.

  • @vlgagic Have you ever done a class? You should try it before passing judgment. I have only be doing it for a week and it is amazing! I have never felt so good. I have many health problems and already I have noticed positive changes in my health.

  • @tiffpitt27 Unfortunately, I am very familiar with hot yoga and have spent too much time and too much money on the dangerous nonsense. And just because you feel better doesn't mean its good for you. If that were the case, pancakes and butter would be health food.

  • @vlgagic all you have to do for evidence of bikram's benefits is look at the instructors and the experienced pupils. They're lean, strong, have awesome postures, are always happy and positive, clear perfect skin.. they are perfect human specimens physically. You're just in denial because you're not tough enough to stick with the classes

  • @sidewinderxx in other words, ZERO world class athletes! thank you proving my point with your tedious, silly comment. How many gold medals does the second most populated nation on Earth have? And guess what all you Bikram fans out there, fat, 65 yo suburban grandma's are not athletes. Quit drinking the kool aid cuz you guys are just as brainwashed as crossfitters. Pro athletes prob couldn't swallow a sword, but that doesn't mean sword swallowing an athletic event.

  • bikram yoga= dumbest thing ever

  • @vlgagic why?

  • @vlgagic Have you ever done a class?

  • Yoga is not standing on your head or stopping your breath or dancing naked like retard monkeys in a heated room. Fools indeed.

  • I got persuaded into going by a close friend. I have never been that close to fainting!

  • MY GOD! I have done mostly everything health wise....every cleanse ever...long fasts, about a year raw vegan...(now I'm doing raw eggs/meat), chinese herbs....EVERYTHING including omni gym yoga and tons of sports....BIkram yoga is the best thing I've found so far...I'm into my 8th class and my back is getting insanely ripped....I Also it's helping me look inside and dissolve my pain so that I can live with greater awareness. Thanks yoga people!

  • check out my video on Bikram on Long Island at a local studio in Setauket

  • For Bikram Yoga, I love to wear the Bellissima clothing line. It's so cute and comfortable. I get it at Bodywear Boutique. They have a website too.

  • I just tried a class today with a friend, it was great, loved how I felt afterwards. I would suggest to those interested to try at least one class

  • I know, get a heater and make a room in your house really hot and exercise, bikram exercising XD

  • I practiced Bikram Yoga, my thoughts:

Pros: Great for flexibility, good for consistent improvement in balance, leg strength and flexibility. Good for mental focus.

Cons: The heat element is excessive, simply too hot for some people and that has nothing to do with fitness levels. You shouldnt be sweating THAT much on a daily basis-fact. No upper body elements in the postures. Expensive.

In all-good, if u can afford it but u should combine with other fitness activities, dont practice daily.
