wow this is amazing. 24 carat purity thanks for posting this. like how glucose instantly mixes with the bloodstream, this music instantly meets ones soul.
By watching this video, it reminds that music is pure knowledge. I feel that knowledge so sweetly given in this composition. Malikarjun Mansur shows through his singing what others have not expereienced in their own search of knowledge. Music is also like a pure emotion, like joy, untouched by duality.
Thx. Warren. It was great to hear the master. Unfortunately I can only appreciate whats soothing to my ears and am not that familiar with Raga's or their classifications. Regardless great music touches everyone, including novices like me. Thx. again.
If you're talking about the film featuring Rajshekhar Mansur, no, it's a different Bihagada. Rajshekhar's, IIRC, is "ek nishad bihagada," which is a very different prakaar.
1000 thanks. I love this great master singing. Even 40 years ago I heard him without knowing his greatness and he did hit me deep into my heart and soul, so I'll never forget his voice and music. Thank you posting these rare tapes.

Mellifluous as ever! Brings out the essence very clearly. The khamaaj shades are striking even though Nand is the Maestro's forte.
