A spine tingling bitter sweet pleasure.Richard at his VERY best here : Slowly boiling up ; then from screaming "We dont need ANY of ya !!" to his disconsolate quiet "we dont need you" ; picks up the sauce bottle ; CLASS.Some of the best acting i've ever seen from one of our best actors & directors.People who just know him as the cuddly old man from award ceremonies ought to check out his early killer work

Well thanks ; you bet ! They dont make 'em like THIS no more, nor even SHOW them on t.v. why not ? Theyre an education in LIFE as well as acting.Instead we get Steven Seagal 1,2,3,4,5 action movies etc. Ha ha.Look who's in this : Alfred Burke , Bernard Lee, Norman Bird,Michael Craig....at first glance ! A treasure trove - not seen it for YEARS but i checked & its not on dvd ; not in U.K. anyway ; a double tragedy !!
