kicking a football is never going to generate that much force because a foot ball is too light, there for it moves off the foot quickly. this means that the "rate of force development" of the athlete is a limiting factor. if you got the athlete to do a leg extension or squat, they could probalby apply quite a lot of force due to the extended time for RFD, but kicking a football has too short a time to express maximal force. just thought i would randomly put that out there :p
