  • so beautiffulllllll

  • It's not being played too fast, "Presto (116bpm)" - get your facts right.

  • play is bumblebee. no nice

  • No, No, you're playing it much too fast !!

    ;-)

  • probably my first chopin etude

  • Marvelous pianist--the music he plays isn't bad either. :)

  • Almost very good.

  • 23 de enero 2010: Muere Earl Wild, pianista estadounidense!!!!! Ha muerto el día 23 de enero de este año!!! o.O

  • Goodbye Earl Wild, a great pianist of XX century

  • 'piano virtuosos are like gods'

  • Rest in peace, farewell to a Masterful pianist.

  • rip earl wild-

  • cette étude est jouée un peu trop rapidemment à mon goût ..,il ne faut pas privilégier la technique au détriment de la poésie...what do youy think about ?

  • Comment removed

  • well... y... incredible

but i think he looks kind of bored : /

i also play this piece and sure u have rly to concentrate and stuff but it looks like hes bored

  • Earl Wild has always been among the most fluent and 'musical' of pianists and composers in the current era. He's had a marvelous career and I wish there were more out there like him. Neither stuffy nor showy, Mr. Wild has always given the music all it deserves.

  • I don't know how Chopin should like it, but probably he'll be agree with Wild. He has a very good musical taste. In relation to speed I consider is good (maybe Chopin played it faster). I'm 55 and piano teacher.

  • Although I prefer it a little slower I like this rendition. I also like Nuccio Trotta's one. I'd like to invite watching his videos beacuse I think he's a very good pianist. Thank you.

  • i play the staccato okay. i can only go at medium speed though.

  • he plays the staccato bit abit wierd, too slow i think. im learning this piece at the moment. i can't play it at -well the tempo is supposed to be 214-crotchet. my fingers just won't play that fast.

  • What's crazy is that Liszt apparently played this piece in concert at speed with the right hand part played entirely in octaves... =)

  • apocrypha

  • It is cited by Harold C Shonberg in his book "The Great Pianists" that Wilhelm Kuhe witnessed Liszt perform this feat during a Vienna concert in 1847 (pg. 208). Perhaps it isn't true, but do you have any evidence that Schonberg is mistaken?

  • I am trying hard with the speed. I manage it but i lose the balance between the tempo and the soft play

  • one thing to say: wow!

  • He is my idol since ten years ago when i heard his recordings of hungarian rhapsody 2 and mephisto waltz. Damn demonic...

  • great pianist!

  • I like to call this guy "Wild Earl" because he is so fast. I expect better from him

  • faster than Berezovsky's, daing

    respect.
