I'm a huge Duck fan, but this video is uninspiring. Why are we showcasing athletics and the outdoors? We should be proud of our noble prize winners and we should highlight our accomplishments in education and molecular biology. Does anyone remember the old commercial during the 80's/90's of the football team singing the fight song in Japanese? Not just a bunch of dumb jocks.

Ive been going to this school for about three years now and have come to absolutely hate it. The school is very interested in itself specifically rather than education and its students.
@wearesupreme if you honestly aren't having a good time here, then it's your fault. you get what you give. it's not going to be any different anywhere else, so grow up and appreciate your opportunities. the school is pretty damn interested in education if 60% of every cent it gets for athletic funds goes towards the academic departments. i don't know how it would create new and innovative academic buildings and student dorms if it didn't care.
Look at other universities' advertisements on your television, and then look at UO's. Easily one of the most well-produced and aesthetically pleasing commercials. This definitely makes me want to attend if anything.

"Welcome Home" by Radical Face. A side project of the lead singer of Electric President. He composed the entire album that this song is from in a cabin, in the woods, by himself. All of the instruments, claps, chimes, and voice were done by him and then produced together by him on his macbook in his cabin.

Oregon though, that's another story, I'm black and I feel like I get stared at. But if you stay in the major cities in any state you'll be fine. Portland is pretty diverse..

It seems like every city has the black side, the white side,and a side where the races mix well together which is where I live (:

I'm a junior from Arkansas in high school. If I fail to be accepted to a top tier university, I at least want to branch out and go far out of state to a vastly different place. Oregon and the west coast seems so gorgeous. This is certainly a competitor for my destined school choice.
@Liynkx There are many universities you can get top tier education. U of O is one of them because if you study like a student at a top tier university, you will get that education here. The U of O is not the best liberal arts school but some schools definitely rank top five in nation every year. Also, if you are thinking about going to U of O, you should look into applying for the Honors College. Good luck! -a Duck
