I used to love this game. Out of all the Sega Genesis and NES games I owned, this one was the most memorable for me. Oh how wonderful it is to be part of the Sega generation.

Little known fact; Ristar developed from an idea originally put forward during design talks for the character who would later become Sonic the Hedgehog. One of the first concepts was a character with rabbit ears that could extend and pick up objects, but as the game got faster, they went with a hedgehog as they can roll into balls and slam into things. They picked up the rabbit ears concept later and developed it into one of my favourite Mega Drive games, Ristar :)

for many and many years ago this was my favorit game..couple off weeks ago we found the sega megadrive again with the games but we cant find ristar.. and im so sad about it!!! but we will keep on searching I JUST WANT TO PLAY IT AGAIN!! :-D

The music alone is damn good for a game of that age! The game play isn't the best but it is much different than other games i've played. I would give this a 11 out of 10.
