When I went to this church for the first time they gave me a book called "Key facts for new Christians", they sat me down and were feeding me information. Picking verse out from the Bible just to justify their point. They wanted me to speak in tongues, saying gibberish. I knew this wan't correct and I left the church.

If we study corinthians we will see how out of order the church was and Paul wrote to them to set them back on track and restore order. What paul meant was for example if I am an American and I speak english and I come to a hispanic church and they only speak spanish what good is it for me to speak when I don't speak there language and there is no interpretor to translate in their language.

This is not rightly dividing the word. The Toung in Acts is different from the GIFT of Tounges found in Corinthians. Funny that Paul said I speak in tongues more than you all. Some gifts are made for the group ( prophesying, singing, teaching) Some for the indiviual (wisdom, tounges) and some for both such as tounges. for the Holy Ghost. The gifts of the Holy Ghost are for any who recieve it. The true flowing of the Holy Ghost, I would agree, would not have 20 speakers and 20 interpreters, but if everyone in the church is with one accord with the Holy Ghost and it falls in the midst, then anyone, no matter the amount can speak in tounges. Toungues is what edifies the individual. 1 Corinthians 14:4. It assures the believer of the presence of the Holy Ghost or the Comforter in turn increasing there faith to go
