  • Simba, you keep shouting,"Don't Leave Me" take a look in your heart and see what you find

  • @TomKeresey123 YEP, mufasa will always *SINGS* "BEEEEEEE in his HEART!!!!" ;D.

  • Is that predator in the background

  • Tearing up... Thank god rafiki cheered me

    Up with his antics

  • the 10 people who dislike this are looking high school musical.

  • 10 people are friggin idiots for disliking this.

  • I'm a full grown 22 year old male, and I still tear up whenever I see this scene (and deny deny deny when somebody walks in of course)

  • Ok beautiful moment with mufasa and simba :D

I love that crazy baboon, he is nuts yet helpful :L

  • I just had a tear of nostalgia come to my eye and was followed by a tear remembering Mufasa's death. No matter how old I get or how tough I try to make myself seem, Mufasa will always bring a tear to my eye in one way or another.

  • Mufasa: Simba I am your father

    Simba: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

  • This is on eof the beatiful moments

  • This scene gives me chills... one of the most epic scenes in Disney history and the best film Disney ever made!

  • @Krissyxxlyn this scene gives me shivers what a beautiful film

  • when he says "simba" i get chills, a very powerful moment, every disney movie has a powerful scene like this.

  • @TheAirborne076 10 or 15 years ago it's true but now it's high school musical dude. it's sad

  • How was this on the front page search for "you are not the father"?

  • Mufasa: Remember who you are!

SimbaL: I am... I am..., Im a GoofyGoober! ROCK!

  • Beautiful movie with an important lesson

  • Aside from entertainment, when I saw this back in '94, I was too young to understand what this part meant. Now that I'm 24, this part is DEEP!

  • Mufasa: Simba! I am your father!!

    Simba: NOOOOOOOOOO!!

  • thx for the green thumbs :) :)

  • thats such a moving part of the whole movie

  • Greek words are much more emotional...

  • who watched this movie in disney channel last night? THUMBS UP IF YA DID <3

  • Disney, once so wise..

    WHAT Happend???

  • monkey whacks him

simb: GEEZ D: waht was tht FOR ? >:(

monkey: it doesnt matter its in the past x3

  • This is what my textbook and notes do to me during a test!

  • Still the only film that makes me cry.

  • @christube1989 same to me

  • I love how Rafiki yells at the end ! :)

  • best scene of the best movie

  • This is CNN.......C.....N......N

  • I guess this is about how the talk went between Wenger and Henry during the return og the king:)

  • Rafiki was the best

  • damn, this scene brings tears to my eyes, that one moment marked my childhood (besides, of course Mufasa's death)

  • I cry whenever I see this scene its so powerful and moving...

  • i hate people who say that i'm still a dumb child when i cry at this scene and believe me, i'm not a child any more

  • Nie równa się z polskim dubbingiem ;).

  • anyone notice how this movie is based on hamlet and the second movie is based on romeo and juliet only kiara and kovu didnt die?

    :3

  • OMG, this scene is just amazing and look at Mufasa's voice OMG.

  • i love it when rafiki is like "WHAT WAS THAT?! ZEESH! THE WEATHER!" XD cracks me up every time

  • i want mufasa's voice

  • This is VHS Version?

  • I love everything about the lion king except that they make Mufasa out to be like a God or something. Do the writers think that he is the only dead lion?!?!

  • @TheMatanui2 First of all, Mufasa does explain that all the "great kings of the past" are up there, which I take to mean all the dead lions (since every lion can be considered a king in his own right).

Second of all, the intent here was not to portray Mufasa as a god at all. The idea is that he has a unique spiritual connection with his son. Rafiki guides Simba to the realization of this connection, but it is Simba's alone to explore and understand. Know what I mean?

  • one of the mos powerful words in this movie also my favorite part

  • @redsoxsuckhaha my favourite part is the movie lol ;) but it's true this part is wonderful

  • @SK8B0RG it also make simba think that hey wait scar is distorying the pridelands Nala was right i must go back

  • @redsoxsuckhaha yeah

  • "You are my son." - Mufasa from Lion King. (EPIC)

"I am your father." - Darth Vader from Star Wars. (EPIC)

    Coincidence? Who knows?

  • @beanerman9111991 The fact that they're both voiced by the same guy makes it all the more amazing

  • Archbishop Desmond Tutu was brilliant in this film.

  • sounds powerful ( remember who you are )

  • Think about how god damn lucky we are to have grown up with these kind of movies! now the children grow up to hanna montana and so on...... it is totaly wrong and the cildren dont see how to behave and do because disney films now a days arent so beutifull and full of emotions.

  • @TheMaidenTribute what you said is true, 10 or 15 years ago it was The Lion King and other Great Movies but look at now it's hanna montana or other shits.

  • Comment removed

  • i cried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a beautiful scene, this scene give me shivers

  • Rafaki = Lad.

  • When I die I'm gonna do this to my son all the time just to mess with him

  • @utubeftwbaby before I die, Im going to set up a bunch of booby traps and pranks to make my children think Im haunting them : ) The fake ghosts willl have recordings of myself saying "do the dishes! Clean your room! Now jump up and down, rub your stomach and pat your head!"

  • Forget the message of all the Disney movies!(which are amazing) Look at the artwork! Even cartoons these days can't beat that! Especially is the beggining during Circle of Life. The shading is terrific! These days, all these companies are interested in is making more movies at a faster rate, they don't care about the messages that they send or how they look, they just care about how much money goes into their pocket and they know that people will watch it because there is nothing else to watch.

  • When Mufasa comes from the clouds..... chills runs throughout the body

  • @ChazeMaverick Couldn't agree more

  • seriously, Mufasa speaking here is like as if God is talking, James Earl Jones's voice is very fitting for the Voice of God, if God had a voice

  • i had a cat who i had since i was in kindergarden i am 18 now, who was killed by a dog in october, when ever i see the part in this scene where Mufasa first says "Simba" it makes me think of him, i dont know why but i always get depressed when i see this scene, RIP Albert :(

  • I'm watching this everyday , since i found it. we must remember!! god bless us

  • This has soo much MEANING, exactly what western culture lacks more and more now :/

  • Remember who you are Kimba, ups simba.

  • Thumbs up if Rafiki used to creep you out.

  • @masmaster50 nah :D Rafiki was cool. :D

  • @masmaster50 nah :D Rafiki was cool. :D

  • This is also how an appearance of Chuck Norris looks like.

  • I cant imagine loosing my parents...this is what makes me cry

  • Thumbs up for Rafiki hitting Simba lol

  • What happened to Disney?

  • I would cry every time I watched this part when I was a kid.

  • @bookfreak7 i'm 17, this part give me shivers.

  • This part tears me apart inside, one of the best scenes Disney has ever made

  • this was my favourite movie ever when i was a child :( it always made me cry :(

  • The soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, this music give me shivers.

  • He hit his Own King lmao

  • i wish i have a voice like him. he sound like a god :) voice is so powerful

  • Look at 1:34 which is the climax of the movie.

  • Star Wars: I am your father!

Lion King: You are my son!

  • disney should get the message of this scene nowadays .....

  • I had to cover my face so I wouldn't cry xD

  • Kind of like in Twilight, when Edward fights James and Carlisle comes to stop him.

Was that line intentionaly taken from The Lion King? Just out of curiosity.

  • @amebka123

Seriously? Twilight in a god damn Lion King video comment section? Ask yourself - do you think the people who make that series appreciate depth of character enough to put in references to this level of poignancy?

  • @thundercraker1993 I think you are a little unfair in judgement. It was just a question and I could have been asked anywhere. I only thought about it so I made a reference. And contrarily to what you might think after probably seeing too much of screeming Twilight fans the series is not so shallow. And if you have such sense for what's good and what not really you shouldn't be so prejudiced. Just saying...

Whatever you think now I will not argue here.

  • 7 people cant remember who they are

  • ah shit..i rember this like it was yesterday ima dude and this scence will always move me... i rememebr goin to the movies w my mom to see it im 18 now

  • yay:)

  • "big boys don't cry" well then, call me a baby!

Tears always appears in scenes like this in the OLD Classic Disney movies.

  • Raffiki you taught me a valuable lesson as a child there, you've just reiterated it there.

  • Daaarth Vader :D

  • Simba: No Iam FAT! thats not my father!

  • Deepest part of the movie I cry every time :') but it takes me back to when things weren't so complex and life meant going home to every 90s Disney movie with some popcorn and a blanket. Tapes were the best and movies like the lion king made my childhood worth remembering. I love watching the lion king like I'm 6 again and erasing all knowledge of the movie, crying like a baby when mufasa dies and screaming murderer with simba on pride rock. Childhood where did you go?

  • @thejbjones1 I wish the people at TV shows would bring Old Disney back into their programs. Im still young (age 19) but i also grew up with these classic Disney movies.

I really think it's better for children to watch movies like The Lion King instead of the cartoons we got now a days. I really miss it from back then, and intend to show these videos to my children when it comes to that part in my life.

    THANK You Disney!

  • @thejbjones1 I know right? Gosh it is awesome to know that I'm not the only one who had this film as apart of there childhood. of course I had other things that were apart of it. like legend of zelda ocarina of time. this movie. Aladdin. halo (well that was the start of my teen years) rugrats. and many more. and with this scene. I remember me and my mom watching it and we both laughed when he hit Simba with the stick. and after words she said "yeah that's good food for thought son :)

  • @thejbjones1 Man I feel the same too.

  • another lion king movie pleaaseee

  • im a simba i hid myself ....

something to work on it thanks mufassa

  • Me :Disney, you have forgoten us.

    Disney: No! How could we?

Me: You have forgoten who you are, and so have forgoten us. Look inside yourself, Disney. You are more than what you have become.

Disney: How can we go back? Movie animation isn't what it used to be.

Me: Remember who you are. You are Disney, and the one true children's movie company.

    Disney: Don't leave us!

  • @ShinyPikatwo so true

  • @ShinyPikatwo right that as a letter to them! that was good. :")

  • @ShinyPikatwo epic lol

  • what happening to me i have water coming out of my eyes i hav never expperienced this help

  • James Earl Jones ftw

  • Simba You have forgoten The King of Zamunda James Earl Jones in Coming to America

  • Walt: Mickey, you have forgotten me.

    Mickey: No, how could I?

Walt: You have forgotten who you are and so forgotten me. Look inside yourself Mickey; you are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life.

Mickey: But how can I go back? I'm not who I used to be.

Walt: Remember who you are. You are my son, and the one true king.

  • @jimphillips95 u mean that u have forgotten God?

  • I always maintain...for sumone who hasnt seen lion king, their life is incomplete...

  • man i remember when Mufasa spoke to Simba with this theme it made me cry when i was a kid..Good memories

  • @MetalGearSolidFan592 made u cry as a kid? lol it makes me cry now

  • Disney's Hamlet... what happened to disney and good plots??

  • cool

  • What a powerful scene, now look what disney's become...

  • @Myrealm7 I know; shit like hana montana and all the stupid trash, they used to make cartoons that touched you heart now they branched out into other media and hotel business and live off their legacy. Michael Eisner, Robert Iger, and the board of directors pushed out people that made disney great, like Jeffrey Katzenberg: and thus sealed its demise.

  • you are my son, lets rule the galaxy together...

  • I cried at that moment when I was little :'(

  • @TheStarlights88 i always do! its such a touching scene . . .

  • just knows he lives in YOU... i just break out in song, HE LIVES IN YOU HE LEAVES IN ME HE WALKS THESE WATERS

  • I like how Rafiki said "He lives in you"(0:50) It was kind of a prelude into Lion King 2.

  • Epic epic epic epic and I'm crying again :/

  • 'he lives in you' <3

  • i hope there's a God looking out, i pray sometimes like everyone , i'm not gunna lie ^-^

  • Rafiki

  • Me: Mom, do you agree that we should put our past behind us?

    Mom: Yes I do

Me: -hits mom on the back of the head-

Mom: Ow, what'd you do that for!

Me: Doesn't matter, it was in the past :D

  • Interesting fact, the person who does the voice of Mufasa did the voice of Darth Vader.

Mufasa: Simba, I am your father

Simba: That's not true! That's impossible!!

  • I LOVE DISNEY LONG TIME AGO,BUT NOW DISNEY IS LIKE POISON TO OUR KIDS AND YOUTH.IM SO SAD...I RMEMBER WATCHING THIS I WAS JUST 4YR OLD..AND NOW IM 20..THIS HAS BEEN MY LOVELY MOMENT OF LIFE

    remember...who you are...

    remember...remember...REMEMBER...

i always loved this beautiful but sad scene, and gotta love Mufasa´s voice.

  • Lets face it guys..all this religion talk is bullshit, Mufasa is the one true god!

  • I effin love Rafiki xD

  • I believe in god and jesus but this film has nothing to do with religion or god so why is everyone talking about it :/ bible bashers take your speeches somewhere else when i come to watch lion king clips i expect to see lion king comments not a bunch of religion shit

  • @lilwaltrz Unfortunately it doesn't matter what the subject is, there's always at least some religious nut who takes it out of context and puts religion on it. You could watch a clip of Blue's Clues & someone will probably call Blue a hell hound or something. No one can ever just sit quietly and watch something.

  • tEHUTI AND HERU

  • It never fails to see christians fight amongst themselves. :)

  • I LOVED THE ENIDING OF THIS CLIP!!!

  • They say that this has satanist subliminal messages, but I only feel the nostalgia..and love.

  • Thank you for sharing in-deed :)
