Right, you exploited the naivete of children who are still at the age where they are hardwired to unconditionally believe anything to tell them, but you didn't force them.
It is actually true about seeing people who chose religion by themselves.. I know some (otherwise) very intelligent people here in England who have decided on religion in their mid teens or even later. However, just because they aren't forced by the people around them, they are somewhat forced by the threat in case they don't believe.. The give it a chance based on that and soon find a sense of community, belonging and purpose, so they believe this feeling is god given, then say they "chose" it
"Oh, well, of course we're not forcing our children! What a silly idea! I mean, we've been reading the bible to them as historically factual bed time stories since birth, taking them to church 4 times a week, sending them off to brainwa-...er, church camp in the summer, homeschooling them and teaching them that science is evil and treacherous, and only letting them watch jesus-freak TV, but forcing them? No, never!"
Holy shit, really? Well, then again, they're not forced; they're just brainwashed to the point where they are completely obedient to anything Christian, no matter how unethical it may be.
"Our kids do have something to say" Ya, what they have to say is kali ma, kali ma, kali ma. Oh wait the was the other made up religion from Indiana Jones, my bad.
Eh these people are weird. I'm someone who chose to be a Christian of my own free will. My parents never forced it on me like this. What makes me strong in my faith is that I chose it, so I feel bad for their kids. I hope they know that it is a choice.
So we all agree Jesus Camp is crazy.. but hey lady, your husband is fine, mind if I ride that crazy brain washer for a lil while? ;) BLAM! I kid I kid.
No, you can't force somebody to serve the Lord, but you CAN force people who don't believe in the Lord to follow his rules through an attempt to stack the legislature with Christians and pass unconstitutional legislation aimed at protecting people from "sin" not crime. Which is what you all support.

Or there are things in there you're supposed to do that isn't right or wrong it depends on the person yet you don't get a choice. It's what he thinks is right. Christian or not when you die nothing happens. No sense of time, no consciousness, don't even know your gone. We were all in this state before we were born. Do you remember anything? Nope.
These kids are forced just as kids who have two 'dads' or two 'moms' are forced to accept homosexuality. The Christian wackjobs and the homo lunatics deserve one another.
I must have missed the part where the kids at camp were taught civics or political science. One second she says she has never forced her kids, the next second it's " a little force isn't bad," and the next "we haven't really had to force the kids into anything." Contridicting statements are part of Christianity, and ALL over the bible,......but not usually so close together!
Of course they have not been "forced", you brainwashed them since infancy!!! >:O And they grew up in a town where there is nothing but this flaunting of stupidity! -_____- Therefore they have chosen this lifestyle because that is all they know. *exasperated sigh* I weep for the progression of humanity.
Those who are for reason and logical thinking, we must stand up for what will save us from infinite socioeconomic turmoil! Promote mathematics and science!
@Icu8p where i live you're not brainwashed into believing in god.. where i live you do what you can to survive.. science is good and so is religion.. religion you get groups of people looking out for each other, science you learn new technologies to help keep you alive. however to really survive everything i've survived you need both to work together.. my body follows religion yet my mind follow science.. also my mountain bike is pretty high tech for what it is..
@Gaslydeath Considering what you stated in your comment, religion itself is evil (at least what it manifested into), and detrimental towards society. For example, the bible was a book created by people to keep people in line and have them under control. Reading it, I found so many contradictions in its text, that I am amazed as to how it is still being published. O.O lol And these children are being brainwashed, as they are only taught from one religious perspective, which just so happens to
@Icu8p be christianity. -____- (curse you characters remaining!) Furthermore, I just want to say, that I do not disrespect you as a person, I know people who are religious and they are good people who PRACTICE all the good that they have learned from their beliefs, which is what I respect. These people that I know do not demonstrate hate or resentment towards others due to their differences either with race, sexuality, etc..
@Icu8p i just say mainly both modern day religion and science are both wrong. if you ask how so, i say that its the way its done. modern day religion is basically you pray you pay.. basically your paying to pray to something which is there to give comfort and hope, god is basically a sign of hope. however science will twist and turn words that religious people say so that science always sounds better, however both of them are heavily flawed and both are meant to be used for guidelines..
@Gaslydeath basically what i believe is that religion is a guideline for those who wish to do good in the world, who wish to make a difference using their physical energy and in return expect a reward, which is heaven. a reward which is given to most. science on the other hand is a guideline for those who wish to make a difference using their mental energy. they will come up with cures for disease (like the alchemists of old), and design new tech to save people with.
@Gaslydeath they expect no after life reward but they except a place in history for their reward as one of many great and powerful minds. however i have combined both sides and well expect nothing in return. all i ask is that people remember me for who i am when i die not what i did. if god or science wills it my spirit may stay here or leave this planet when i die. all that i need from this planet is to know others are happy and safe even if it means sacrficing my own life force for it to be so
@ShroomFuu86 Exactly! And as I stated above, I know this family. They do not own this video, nor had they ever heard of it. The producers of the film, Loki Productions, brought it to their home so they could film the kids watching it. A slight manipulation, if you ask me.
@eXstatichop umm i think you'll find those things you have described are vital to human survival and good physical and mental health. It is, however, possible to live without god and be perfectly happy.
america's catholics believe that god made the world about 6000 years ago. catholics in the UK also use science and know it was created somewhere around 12.5 billion years ago (might be million but meh i'm too tired to remember what it was).. however i'm a UK catholic with a full understanding in science and understand everything on how it works. just explain this one to me.. how the fuck do i work.. as i have found that i don't die for long. i simply just get up from it and walk it off..
@Gaslydeathhow do you work?.. you can start by examining Laminin. Truth is, God created you just as he said.. in His image. (I speak as a former drug addict bro, Im no religious nut but when genuinly I asked God to help me, He revealed himself to me in and in no religous way but deep and personal; where I hve my life and function. Brian "head" Welch formerly of the band Korn has a similar story; like 6 minutes. you tube his story as well as laminin. all my best regaurds to u
@2Corinthians10five .. dude i work.. just not for money.. i do volunteering.. i work cutting down trees, smashing up rocks and using Ideas on how to get my ass through a rampaging river.. they send me through the dangerous areas as i'm the only one who can think while on my feet when the survivability chance is less than 10%.. fear to me is pointless.. yet i do have one fear which i face everyday.. the fear for others safety.. my life is devoted to the safety of others..
@Gaslydeath meaning if a person is in trouble i will risk my own life to save them from death. A life for a life.. and seeing as my life was fucked up from birth, i'd rather they live. and often it pays off.. other times not so much.. most people at any one time i've saved was about 2 - 3 people.. in total i have saved about 30 - 40 people possibly more.. but i never stick around for people to say thanks or see me.. and due to it i live with perminate broken ribs and a highly damaged spine
@Gaslydeath where do you get your information? america's catholics do NOT believe God made the world 6,000 years ago. that is ludicrous. in fact, most christians do not necessarily believe that either. to make it clear to all the bigots, im counting the lutherans, episcopals, etc. christianity does not always equal the evangelicals or pentecostals.
@jas22 just putting down what i saw on tv.. although i dunno if that catholic church which calls everyone fags was right lol.. either way i'm a catholic (comes under christianity) and i have a full understanding on how science works so when they say that we're stupid with no idea of how the world works.. i say that they need to think again. i mean i know how gravity is effected by the planets mass where things with a larger mass attracts smaller objects, for example a really big guy and a burger
You know I was originally gonna type a whole paragraph on my beliefs and stuff but I've come to realize... This world is fucked up and there's no way to fix it.
@MrEddieRiver I think thats is exaggerated. People aren't getting more stupid. We live in a safer and more tolerant society than our grandparents did.Atheists who publicly renouced religion were often locked up with bread and water less than a hundred years ago.Once organized religion loses it's ability to inflict physical harm to coerced\ people into membership eventually that religion will loses influence on mainstream society.it's a historical fact..
@MrEddieRiver Yeah I'm an atheist too,but I have a feeling that as the generations pass organized religion will die off in the western word and most people will atleast become agnostics and atheists because of there parents. It seems to be the case with every type of ideology. People will become complacent and once religion becomes ancient history people will probably wonder how people could actually believe in this stuff.
@coolmomization uhh you suggesting that it's not possible for an atheist parent to force atheistic beliefs on there kids? I however only said parent generally teach there children the values they believe in and the beliefs they hold. If I have kids I will tell them there no no such thing as gods and all religions are mythology because I'm an atheist lol
ok if we invent a time machine I'm going to that camp standing up and telling them to fuck off your the ones who are going to burn in hell for tormenting these kids
@inconsp1cuous1515 Interesting thing is my Christian parents did not at all bring me up to believe I had to believe or I'd go to hell. Yet I still felt forced once I started moving away from that religion. Even if they didn't actually say anything bad against me I felt pressured because of the look they'd give me when I got farther and farther away. So I hope they don't think you have to use words for them to feel pushed. Sometimes all it takes is silence.
@coolmomization Enlighten me then. What is the fundamental point that Christian preachers out on the street are trying to make when they scream "reeePENT!" to everyone?
@inconsp1cuous1515 my grandparents died in an atheist state formerly known as the soviet union for there beliefs. they did worse than what you fear christians preach, they were told at gun point to give up their beliefs or die. i never got the chance to meet them...
"Leave alive nothing that breathes. Show them no mercy." [Deut. 7:2]
"The Lord hardened their hearts... that they might receive no mercy." [Joshua 11:20]
"I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the Lord: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. A curse on him who is lax in doing the Lord's work! A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed." [Jer. 13:14; 48:10]
@romin256 "The Lord commands: "... slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women" (Ezechial 9:4-6)
"When the Lord delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the males .... As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves." (Deuteronomy 20:13-14)
"You will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you." (Deuteronomy 28:53)
@romin256 Is this really the "word of God" or the cruel thoughts of Bronze age warriors? Did you know this was in the bible? If not then are you shocked? If you did know it was there then is Christianity really about a healthy loving relationship or is it a case of the Stockholm syndrome?
@MrEddieRiver The problem with your point if you wanna call it a problem is that the same could apply to an atheist culture. Many communities in Sweden and throughout europe you will find atheists who's parents were atheists going back a few generations. Atheist parents will most likely teach there kids atheism . So your point is kinda moot .
If it was a choice, it wouldn't be kids doing it. Lulz, imagine if you never heard about religion until 18 years. What scares me is when she says it inspires them to be senators, mayors and congresswomen.
Christainity Murderd MORE people than Hitler and Stallon i guess thats how one spells his name....fact. and they DO force these kids we all should know LOL we was once children as well, i was forced to goto church every sunday -.- if i didnt go i would get my ass beaten.
LOL it said in the BIBLE *BIBLES* that is that christiains god/jesus is EVIL and a fucking bastard who loves blood shead and rape and really loves to start wars in his name, what did the followers of god/jesus christ do?..murder,,,,rape...starts wars and preach lies & fear not counting just plain ole hatred! they even stole Pagan religion and others to make their own god that is fact, too the story of Mithras pagan god slap it onto jesus, which infact their religion is 4,000yrs old XD.
I DON GET IT, MR OBRIEN BELONGS TO THE ARMY, Hey dude, Soldiers Kills People, Killing is a SIN WTF Rent a Harry Potter MOVIE is a SIn to your kids BUT NOT KILLING??
@PERROLOCOMCFLY Don't generalize. This family has seen and enjoyed all the Potter movies. and the Mom and son, Luke, have read all the books. I know them personally.
I wonder, if their parents weren't superstitious fundies..and the kids were allowed to choose their own belifs based on life experiences and personal choice..how many would become crazy dinosaur denying fundies who believe a long dead red sea pedestrian zombie beams hi,self into other people? Without being brainwashed as kids first, how many would go on to choose that belief system?
What a bint. She brainwashes her kids, refuses to let them have any exposure to other faiths, to any REAL science, to history to sociology. There are no other choices presented, consquently despite her lies to the contrary, she is forcing her kids to be bible thumpers.
No you can't force someone into a religion, but if you constantly bombard them with only 1 religion while barring all others, how are they ever to make a choice if they are never exposed to anything else? Being forced, or having only 1 option? it really all sounds the same to me.
They're not being forced, they're just being blinded to everything other than what their parents want them to see, and when anything seeps through the cracks, like evolution, the parents ridicule it and bombard the kids with counter-propaganda until 99% of what they've heard about the topic is negative.
Oh no, but they're not being forced. Just so long as you exclude brainwashing from the list of what qualifies as "forcing".
As soon as they pop out of the womb, kids are baptized and forced to go to church. It's bullshit and I have learned from personal experience. These people are so uneducated, they have no idea.
@DerektheDuctTape The faith of the child is almost always that of their parents or the majority of society. They are not choosing. They are being persuaded/influenced/brainwashed by their parent's and society into believing.
Lol Yes you can force someone to believe in god ... look at the middle east you moron. God could this family be any bigger of a slap in the face to mankind? Correction I mean these parents that put there kids through this shit.
@getblunted4life You don't need to look at the Middle East, you can look in America. You can look in just about any city, in any state/province, in any country, on any continent and you will find people being forced into believing in God.
When I was growing up all the adults we knew labeled EVERYTHING as being evil, or from the devil. Thankfully I had a brain in my head and denounced all that superstitious shit. I would never lie to my son and say there is a god. and the bible is true(ANY BIBLE) Religion is a "control mechanism" to get a society to do what benefits your agenda.
They are blindly brainwashing their Children. When these kids were very young, I'm pretty sure the parents dragged them a long to church, told them "jesus is the only way". I'm pretty sure these kids didn't wake up one morning and decide they wanted to be a christian. I'm sure they didn't do their own research on the subject of christianity. They go by what their parents/preacher tell them. I can almost guarantee they don't even know of the contradictions in the Bible.
@Terdmissle9 Thankfully, I estimate about 1% of my church's congregation have similar beliefs to those of the Evangelicals in this movie. I personally am against almost everything these people say. I'm Pro-Choice, against brainwashing and for letting people determine their own believes. Most of all, I'm for loving EVERYONE, including the enemies of this group, the Liberals, the Muslims, etc. These people aren't true Christians, they have no love for anyone but themselves
@Terdmissle9 your an idiot. Im so tired of people bashing christians just cuz theres crazy people that practice it. theres fucked up people everywhere it doesnt matter what religion u believe in. Im not a super religious person at all but to just single out a group of people because of one persons belief is the most narrow minded thing u could do. your no better than the people in this video.
These nuts embrace technology like nobodys business whilst railing at the exact same time against science that brought that technology. I bet none of them passed out of high school let alone college.
@jrswordfish1 I know them. The Dad has a double engineering degree--Civil and Environmental. In fact, he went to Clarkson University. Lots of science there.
@coolmomization "I know them. The Dad has a double engineering degree--Civil and Environmental. In fact, he went to Clarkson University. Lots of science there. "
Parents do this in many forms including Sports, Politics, Finance, Racism, Crime and even preparing them for global doom - The list is endless... Take out the religion bashing and you have a good video about how all parents should occasionally step back and ask themelves - "Does John really like football as much as we want him to..?"
"Perhaps Jane really doesn't want to be an accountant after all..?"
@xDarkcynx Ha ha... worse still is who in their right mind would encourage their child to be an Accountant..??? What a seriously mundane and stress filled occupation... but to each his own I suppose...
No you didn't "force" them. You just cut them off from learning anything about the world around them. But instead teaching them all this bullshit which they believe because its the only thing they know. Which in my opinion is a form of child abuse.
The poor dog looks very disturbed. Their probably trying to brainwash it and its not working. Its probably thinking get me the hell away from these crazy ass people. Not only is it child abuse its cruelty to animals.

Gaslydeath 1 month ago

Icu8p 1 month ago
@Icu8p i just say mainly both modern day religion and science are both wrong. if you ask how so, i say that its the way its done. modern day religion is basically you pray you pay.. basically your paying to pray to something which is there to give comfort and hope, god is basically a sign of hope. however science will twist and turn words that religious people say so that science always sounds better, however both of them are heavily flawed and both are meant to be used for guidelines..
Gaslydeath 1 month ago
@Gaslydeath basically what i believe is that religion is a guideline for those who wish to do good in the world, who wish to make a difference using their physical energy and in return expect a reward, which is heaven. a reward which is given to most. science on the other hand is a guideline for those who wish to make a difference using their mental energy. they will come up with cures for disease (like the alchemists of old), and design new tech to save people with.
Gaslydeath 1 month ago
@Gaslydeath they expect no after life reward but they except a place in history for their reward as one of many great and powerful minds. however i have combined both sides and well expect nothing in return. all i ask is that people remember me for who i am when i die not what i did. if god or science wills it my spirit may stay here or leave this planet when i die. all that i need from this planet is to know others are happy and safe even if it means sacrficing my own life force for it to be so

This pretty much proved that religion is the opium of the peoples, when you look at the fundamentalists, they look pretty fucking high.
joanignasi91 1 month ago
@MrEddieRiver Yeah I'm an atheist too,but I have a feeling that as the generations pass organized religion will die off in the western word and most people will atleast become agnostics and atheists because of there parents. It seems to be the case with every type of ideology. People will become complacent and once religion becomes ancient history people will probably wonder how people could actually believe in this stuff.

Sometimes all it takes is silence.

romin256 1 month ago
@MrEddieRiver The problem with your point if you wanna call it a problem is that the same could apply to an atheist culture. Many communities in Sweden and throughout europe you will find atheists who's parents were atheists going back a few generations. Atheist parents will most likely teach there kids atheism . So your point is kinda moot .

I'm pretty sure these kids didn't wake up one morning and decide they wanted to be a christian. I'm sure they didn't do their own research on the subject of christianity.
