  • awesome teaching and nice church pews!

  • "God SO LOVED........He GAVE" Past tense. Having established His love in one singular act, the sacrifice of Christ in order to fulfill the law and secure our salvation.

No works and no "sensual" interpretation of "love". It is no erotic nor brotherly it is Agape. God's love cannot support false doctrine or man's thoughts.

Agape will send people to hell, will allow harm, will be hidden to some.

  • Would you argue though that not only can we worship in different ways and believe in different docturines, but we are ment to? What of Romans 12?

  • This guy should just be honest though. Why he doesn't just say "I hate Roman Catholic's". Thats what he thinks, but typically uses inuendo.

  • Wow....isn't it a wonderful thing that we've moved on from the times when we would persecute and punish a person for simply believing something that goes against the societal norms?

  • Very good video. Well said.

  • God loves truth. What proceeds out of the mouth comes from the heart. One cannot preach the Gospel if one knows not the Gospel.

The truth is very inpallitable at times, it cuts and wounds. We are to be as salt--not sugar. To sugar-coat things is very dishonest. Men need to be convinced of the consequences of their sins in order to appreciate the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ. His death and ressurrection are the only hope for a world of lost sinners.

    We must believe God!

  • Love the Martin Luther Scene! I gotta get that..

  • Your first 2 points u make are correct as those are the 2 important commandments and ur got the order spot on BUT you also have to examine that Yes God loves (John 3:16) but he also hates (Psalm 5:5)

Christ didn't come to simply teach us how to live together, but to save a multitude of fallen depraved people. Please understand this

    God bless

  • I am a Christian

and this is what I believe

Jesus came to earth to teach us how to live with one another and he simplified the bible into this:

    1. Love God

    2. Love one another

    3. Help make the world a better place through love

I believe others have been mislead into thinking Christianity is a religion of hate and condemn others.

I am looking to understand this further and would seek a response that is calm and "sane."

    God bless

    ~ M

  • This view is too man-centered. Christianity is not primarily about man or the state of the world's affairs. Christianity is about CHRIST - GOD. Christ came to earth to be crucufied for our sins, not to teach us how to get along. Our problem, humanity's problem, isn't primarily hate or condemnation of others. Our problem is sin, it has been ever since the fall & will be until His return. There'll be no peace on earth as long as sin remains. Keep watching Lane's channel, learn & grow in Christ.

  • @Musicpuzzle Jesus was sent by God His Father 2 primarily save sinful mankind: JOHN3:16-21, JOHN 12:27-50 + then 2 Regenerate our lives 2 fit in with our new life as repentant sinners saved by Grace: EPHESIANS 2:8- JOHN 14 shows that we have access 2 God the Holy Spirit who Discerns ALL TRUTH. May the Lord keep U in His perfect will...

  • Thanks for posting

  • So in the use of Martin Luther are you also promoting anti semitism? And what would be your actual advise when dealing with believers of other ideas who like you refuse to give up what they believe in?

  • Love is a vital part of our fellowship with God and with one another. We can know all the right things, and even have faith that moves mountains, but if we don't have love towards one another it means nothing.

Love is not a feeling or an emotion, but a person, God. He is love, and when we abide in love we abide in God and God abides in us.

No one person knows all the right doctrine, and is perfect in knowledge. A person can have correct doctrines, but his heart can be far from God.

  • "No one person knows all the right doctrine, and is perfect in knowledge. A person can have correct doctrines, but his heart can be far from God."

So, considering all the doctrine that you've presented, could not the same be said about you? Because I'd contest that yes, God is love, but He isn't ONLY love.

  • great amswer. When often in some churches i begin to preach doctrine of our Lord, those who will disagree with sound doctrine or can not give an account pull out the "love"passages. it is often used as a cop out or an excuse for bad doctrine and behavior. thank you for your videos and your remarks.

    jeff

  • give glory to god that he will ALWAYS see that people hear what HE wants them to hear and know what he wants them to know. and of course, its messages like this that god will use to correct bad doctrine.

  • God also hates people.

  • @DeathRattleShakes God hates sin, not the sinner: JOHN 3:16-21...

  • talk about 'shoot yourself in the foot' theology. the sound doctrine that defines love in scripture is exactly what believers derive what true love is. the doctrine of the law and the prophets leads you to two direct conclusions; love the lord your god with all your heart and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. we get the gospels and the epistles from these books. without sound doctrine, we have not gods conclusion on love at all.

  • Yes INDEED...incredible truth in this video!!!

Thank you for posting it :)

  • SeptemberCath, Have you ever checked Luther's translation or do you just blindly listen to what RCC says?

Do some studies on your own.

  • masterowa, I couldn't have said it any better. SeptemberCatholic18

Get of the kick of One Church, the First church is in Acts 2, in Jerusalem

You still have the Diotrephes syndrome.

    Mentioned in III john

Luther was against false doctrine, do you home work. It's all here on the Internet, And Google, why I left the Catholic church, and Former Nuns who left the Catholic church

Who say, they were set free by the truth, By teaching from the Bible.

Of course all I say is in Christ Love.

  • Sound Doctrine divides the sheep from the goats, the children of God from false teachers.

  • val ~ that is true! compromise is not a solution nor a real help

thx to GC for the link to this video

  • It was Jesus who said we are to go, baptize, and teach all that HE (not we) had taught. He taught that we need to believe and obey! How can one love and not seek to be obedient?

  • Love outside of sound Biblical doctrine is nothing more than sin.

Grace and peace to you all.

  • Rubbish you cant tell me doctrine doesn't matter, if it didn't Jesus wouldn't of taught or preached, instead he would of went around giving out hugs and hand shakes. No! they marveled at him because he taught as one with authority not like the scribes and the religious. He demonstrated what he taught with Power and that is what the religous cant stand. Rome didn't put Jesus on the Cross Religion did. Truth brings power, Truth brings Change, Doctrine matter.

  • right on. jesus preproved the devil with sound doctrine three times using the written scriptures.

  • what is doctrine

  • Doctrine is merely teaching. There is sound doctrine or teaching and there is heretical doctrine. When someone says, "Doctrine is not important." they are actually teaching (presenting doctrine.)

  • Well said. I actually heards someone say once "He [referring to a bible teacher] doesn't preach doctrine, he just teaches." I was flabergasted; and, sure enough, when I looked up the word translated "doctrine" in the Bible, in Strong's Concordance, the meaning of it was "teachings".

  • thanks

  • @pungadoo doctrine is the word of God. What is written. The bible is written by man but by inspiration of the Holy Spirit....these men heard directly through the spirit of God. ....Hard to get our arms around but His ways are not our ways. Keep in mind He is the creator of the heavens and earth...we serve a mighty God

  • I believe in the saving blood of Christ. We must be born again. Christ died for my sins, and he rose again, defeating hell and death. My problems are not with Jesus, but with followers who try to invoke fear, not love. Christ opened himself to the world to be a light. I don't see that in the body of Christ. If I dare to differ, I am ostracized. That is not Jesus; he sought out needy people. Christianty has ceased to be inclusive.

  • How can you deride searching for correct teaching (or doctrine as the Bible refers to it often) and yet produce doctrine or teaching in your comment above and not expect to be called hypocritical?

Also, did Christ die for your sins specifically or for the sins of everyone who believes?

  • "My problems are not with Jesus, but with followers who try to invoke fear, not love."

It's very clear that you're against those who are for invoking the fear of the Lord. If you were for it, you would be also be for the pursuit of sound doctrine since, "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom." (Prov. 1:7; 9:10)

  • No, fear of God is awe, reverence. I am for that. And yes, Christ died for all. Feel free to call me a hypocrite; I've been called worse. But my original comment was not about hypocrisy, but division.

  • I realized that your first comment was about division the first time I read it, but I was trying to convey that in Paul's time (when he wrote his epistle) he was saying to watch out for those that go against sound doctrine because THEY are the ones who cause divisions among believers.

  • Now it is all those who are holding to unsound doctrine claiming that those who do hold to the sound are "causing divisions in the body" and so forth. Paul was making the point that if one doesn't believe in sound doctrine in the first place, they aren't really in the body so what we have now is the antithesis of what Paul taught occurring in much of what calls itself "Christianity".

  • They are typically sincere, but absolutely deceived, by false teachers. So they defend beliefs about doctrine that further the growth of deception...

  • People must repent...

  • Are you referring to Calvin's justification by faith? When he came across that doctrine through scripture, it frightened him. I am not sure what you mean by justification. Do you mean that some are meant for salvation and others are not? What does justification mean to you?

  • What I mean is how a person is made right before God. In other words, how is one given pardon for their sins?

  • I am a believer. If you study the history of Christianity, believers began fighting about doctrine after Jesus ascended. You read the Bible because men like Luther told the Church that salvation comes through faith, plus other men translated the Bible into the venacular. It still didn't stop Catholics from fighting against Protestants. This is division. People don't agree on the rapture. Are we really discussing doctrine or interpretation?

  • Do you agree that justification is an essential doctrine to being a Christian? I mean, is one who is not justified in God's sight a Christian?

  • I don't have a problem with this guy, but some of his followers are fanatics, masquerading as born-again Christians. He feeds them to attack, even if it is not his intention--I am sick of Christians using dogma to fight other Christians. No wonder the body of Christ is so divided.

  • The body of Christ isn't divided because of sound doctrine, Paul assures you. It is divided because of unsound doctrine. There are some who love to have their ears tickled and they claim "doctrine divides!" Well, in a sense, it does, but it doesn't divide believers from believers.

  • I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

    (Rom 16:17-18)

  • Note that Paul doesn't say, "The sound doctrine was dividing believers among believers" in his day. He was saying the contrary: "watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the (sound) doctrine..." Believers don't have any qualms with sound doctrine. Unbelievers do.

  • Word Faith teacher "Dr." Frederick Price said a while back that "doctrine screwed up the church"!May God have mercy on him and his congregation!

  • Wow, this is such an important message. I remember professors who had rough personalities, some even insulted me in class, but they taught me what I needed to know. Others didn't have a clue of what they were lecturing, but had "fun" classes. Now that I know what time, money, and education are worth, I wish I never had a class that was "fun" and useless. How much more important is doctrine, knowing what the gospel and eternal life are worth?
