I can't handle the music, and I generally dislike the inclusion of music into interview shows which has become so common on the radio. Tthis makes it harder to follow the speaker and use the SILENCE between the words and pauses to think. I was unwilling to listen to this whole clip due to the music. Just cut it out and go with his voice, as the recoding of his voice is a little weak anyway.
Some guy said I seem to be a verb. It's a good an explanation as any I've come across, even if I don't fully understand it. Or, I do, but the explanation refers to something I can no longer be (or have no way of knowing in the first place.)
If philosophy is a game life must be the championship round; and we are all destined for an infinity to infinity tie.
Hi, i've been receiving quite a few comments about the music in several of my videos - i'll bear these in mind (particularly when mixing down the volumes), but - personally - i like the music.
FYI - the full MP3's of these talks can be found for free out there on the web - all without music :)
i like the music level mix. i think it works. If it was less it would be too much alan watts. this way it allows the mind to wander as well as focus on the text. well done!
dude, if you"REALLY" listen to this guy, you will see that everything he says is a complete condemnation of humans trying to control one another...Find your paranoia elsewhere.
You really nailed that one. What better way to listen to a Watts lecture...(!) I'd be forever grateful if you let me know the names of the track/s you laced it with. Thanks for that experience.
Totally! good shit bro. Do u have ur works collected somewhere? Im looking for more multidimensional change stuff n this is hot! I dream of a mainstream media plastered in this stuff. Or at least, every subway, every community announcement wall, and evry file sharing network that exists. Keep waking us up
Hi, thanks, it's Alan Watts (author of 'The Book - on the taboo against knowing who you are' among others). It's cut'n'pasted from mp3's found for free out on the web. If you come across them, they're worth a listen.

yep, i'll chime in.
music is waaay too loud.
this is such a common mistake i wish people could get past.

Definitely way too loud music, it's distracting - jarring almost.
OttoManic 4 years ago
its cool but the music in the background is too loud and it overpowers the voice of the speaker, and distracts from listening to his voice
