  • I sent an email to the WHO regarding this. The director wrote me back a nice email, but stated it was different because th penis wasn't injured like female genitalia was and the HIV claim. I kindly objected, pointing out your HIV claims from female circumcision, and also asked how she could state that the penus WASN'T injured, when the foreskin is a PARTof the penis, it's a whole structure, making it an internal organ, just like the woman. It shames me how people can be so sexist.

  • @4EqualRights

I'm amazed she could have said that it doesn't injure the penis. If hacking off an area of extremely sensitive skin isn't an injury I don't know what is. This is a perfect example of sexism at work.

  • @Textra1 yeah, not to mention, the neonatal circumcision has to forcibly tear the foreskin from the glans penis in order to be successfully performed. It also violates their own constitution on the first page when they report favorably for circumcision in their reports. "Unequal development in different countries in the pomotion of health and control of disease, especially communicable disease, is a common danger." So basically promoting circumcision in Africa to curb HIV here is total bull.

  • @4EqualRights

Indeed, particularly when simply wearing a condom is a much better control for HIV. If people get it into their minds that being circumcised is a protection against HIV, they might be inclined to practice unsafe sex.

I don't buy the whole 'It reduces the chances of contracting HIV' argument, but even if it were true, it would surely only reduce the chance for the male.

  • @4EqualRights

Surely the better argument would be, whether it helps reduce HIV or not, you should always practice safe sex, i.e. use condoms. I get the feeling that it's agenda driven and has very little to do with truth or health. I smell the big 'R' word in the whole male circumcision controversy.

  • @Textra1 ah yes, Religion. Well, let's see. Circumcision started 6000 years ago by the Egyptians on both males and females, on their Jewish slaves to get them to comply, basically using sexual torture to scare them. It was never introduced as a medical procedure until the late 1800's. Circumcision was NOT a part of the original covenant with Abraham and God, in fact it was added by a rabbi 300 years later to "reduce urges". There is no mention of it in the Koran, in fact it's seen as a sin.

  • @4EqualRights continued...so the entire religion argument is bullshit. The American Academy of Pediatrics even states "Constitutional guarantees of freedom of religion do not permit children to be harmed through religious practices, nor do they allow religion to be a valid legal defense when an individual harms or neglects a child." AND the 1st Amendment says that Freedom of Religion applies to thought only, not actions against others. Combine that with the 14th amendment, equal protection.

  • @4EqualRights

I couldn't agree more. Religion is inconsistently applied and often to situations which weren't around when the dogma was first written. The best thing to do is to leave it out of the equation. I hate it when religious people, not content to just follow their own beliefs, insist that we all have to as well. I really believe that is the case with male circumcision. Arguments like the HIV one are just an ad hoc way of coating a religious preference in a secular wrapper.

  • @4EqualRights I misspelled "penis" once, and am a severe grammar and spelling whore, especially when it comes to making a valid point.

  • @4EqualRights

It would be nice if the YT system allowed a small amount of editing to correct spelling and grammar errors. I cringe when I read back over a post I've made and see an error. I have a spell checker plugin for firefox and it checks as I type. Though it doesn't catch errors like the common "your' and you're".

  • I live in Asia. And what I said covers about 80 - 90% of the Aussies I meet. Speaking of Americans, what is with Australian's bigotry towards Americans? You know it makes no sense since Australia takes part in everything America does and is like America's retarded drunk cousin.

  • I see. You jump on my channel, fart out your ignorant nonsense about a country you've never been to based on the hand full of tourists you've meet, then attempt to turn it around when you realise you're actually talking to an Australian by using the old school yard tactic of "I know you are, but what am I?". I'm sorry, but you've mistaken me for some whole other entity if you think I'm going to be trolled by you. So please, take your ignorant vitriol and ejaculate into some other channel.

  • What a shock..an aussie who is an arrogant dumb fuck racist hillbilly big mouth. Slap a beer in his hand and he is just like all the aussies i've ever met.

  • @GreenMountains1

As an Australian, I find your generalisation gross and misinformed. There are no arrogant American beer swilling, racist, hilly-billy big mouths right? Angry Aussie is obnoxious to be sure but to extend his behaviour to the rest of us is an example of the very idiocy he exhibits.

  • Your public information films should be obligatory viewing for all medical students, nurse students and biology classes in schools- worldwide.

Merely seen from the technical perspective, your videos appear far more professional elaborately designed and "expensive" than any informational programme on any topic I have seen in German TV so far.

  • @THEultimatePANG

Actually, this video is not mine. I'm only mirroring it as it was falsely flagged on the authors channel. Freedom0Speech is the author of this video and I highly recommend his channel.

  • yeah this guy is a bit of a wanker

  • I wish i still had my skin. fucking doctor didn't even ask my parents. he just chopped it right off.

  • Having mutilated genitals makes it impossible to experience normal sex so I guess that goes part of the way toward explaining how people can be so stupid about circumcision/genital mutilation but not, I think, the whole distance. There has to be a good deal of voluntary denial mixed in with the involuntary mutilation to make someone as psychopathic on the subject as Angry Aussie. Protect babies from all of these mutilationist psychopaths!

  • @PegLeggedMan

A few of us have tried to post this video as a response to Angry Aussie's video but he has refused to accept it and blocked us for our troubles. Unfortunately, for what ever reason, he's not interesting is hearing it. I can't understand how someone can be so vehemently opposed and angry about circumcision for one gender but then acts like the school yard bully to anyone mentioning circumcision for the other.

  • @PegLeggedMan

    [cont...]

I'm sure he's not in favour of male circumcision, at least I hope he isn't, but his tirade certainly suggests that he thinks it's not a real issue. Even if male circumcision wasn't as debilitating as the female equivalent, they're still making a permanent body change to a person incapable of giving consent. On this grounds alone the practice should be outlawed.

  • On the other hand, maybe he will be the last person on Earth defending the madness of chopping up children's sex organs and thinking we're doing them a great favor by doing so. How did human beings ever get so radically self-stupidified about sex? Weird, isn't it!

  • Maybe if Angry Aussie watches this video response to his incoherent bullsh*t about circumcision and compares himself to this intelligently and well-done video he will begin to feel some of the shame he ought to and will begin to learn something about sex and sex organs and will eventually come around. That is what genitally mutilating cultures are doing around the world, slowly but surely. Maybe Angry Aussie can do the same.

  • AngryAussie was entertaining at first, but he quickly became just some loud asshole shouting his opinions at the camera.

This very video of his that you're showing is what finally made me unsubscribe from him. I can't stand pro-mutilation people.

  • @Anon11674

Yes, I was in the same boat. I somewhat enjoyed his videos but after that obnoxious and sexist display I had to unsub. Getting blocked and having my comments removed from his channel also didn't do much to endear him to me either.

  • @Textra1

It seems most people who censor comments know they're wrong on some level. Perhaps he could be forced to come around, if enough genital-integrity supporters started showing him the truth. Either that, or he'd be forced to spend hours cleaning up his comments or set them to approve, which would mark him as a comment cherry-picker.

It's sad, because on most subjects he talked about early on, he showed some intelligence. But he just devolved into some angry ranter.

  • @Anon11674

    [continued]

Being an Aussie myself I'm kind of embarrassed that this loud mouthed idiot is out there, but such is the price for free speech. I'd rather have 10 people like him out there than to remove a single person for obnoxious views. Having said that I'm glad to mirror this response by freedom0speech, who so eloquently reveals the Angry Aussie's buffoonery.
