But there is still no shame in having pride for where you come from, as even people born in US take pride in ancestry. Trying to kick someone out based on things like headscarves or other traditional wear is extremely petty though, and that is more of the "go back to your country" sayers I was talking to.

We have one donation hat a month that they openly tell us is going towards upkeep. But that's not the important thing. I like rev. Ken's sermons. They make me think deep thoughts and I enjoy being around other members of that church. Before I started going, I got depressed frequently before I started going because I felt like I had no one to talk to about my ideas. I like Muslims more than Christians. Christians always preach about God and Jesus and blah blah blah. All the Muslims I hang out with, I forget that they're even Muslim. They almost never talk about religion or their beliefs or anything. Christians are so self-righteous and arrogant, Muslims are much nicer. Also, Arabic guys are hot!!! Just saying. ^_^
