  • Classic doo-wop

  • I LIKE THE WAY THIS SONG STARTS OUT AS A MATTER OF FACT i LIKE THE BACKGROUND VOCALISTS HARMONIZING IN THIS SONG, OTHWERWISE THE LYRICS THEMSELVES HAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED. THX4 POSTIN'

  • it is the Four Horsemen.

  • Larry,

By any chance, do you have the flip side of this song "Oh No You Won't"? If you do, can you please share it? Thanks.

    John

  • thanks a lot very good upbeat doo wop..they also did Ankle Bracelet..i enjoyed it a lot

  • I don't think that you mislabeled it. This was a release by the Pyramids-I just never knew if it was two groups doing the same song, or just a re-release with a different group name. I suspect it was the latter. Great tune though-THANKS!

  • @jgparmele I was the lead singer for the original group, "The Pyramids". We recorded "Been a Long, Long Time" on RCA in 1959. Producer was Charlie Grean, our manager and publisher was Buddy Kaye. I didn't know about the other group by the same name. RCA evidently decided to assign our name to the Do Wop group.

We were a trio from St. Pete, FL. Ken Stephens, Jerry Cook and Ralph Bailey.

  • @kstep165 Thanks so much for the background info. Great Song!

  • Isn't this the Four Horsemen on United artists?

  • It could possibly be the Four Horsemen. But not for sure. Both groups have similar titled songs. I probably just mis labled it. Sorry

and thanks for bringing this to me attention.
