No, the guy undergoes brain surgery and then forgets all about her. Of course she doesn't, but she stays away from him, for "his good", but still 'sees' him, as he slowly falls in love with another girl.

The "other" girl, is the Brain surgeon who treated, him. The guy, of course forgot all about the wonderful love he shared with the other, girl, so is all over this new girl. Get it now? The singer, is hurt, because the guy she likes didn't stop liking her, but just forgot all about her.
