Watching reruns this week and was thinking about the bike building show called Build or Bust, think it was on Speed, anywho, I'd bet any amount of money that Paul Sr could not build a bike on that show. I doubt that he could assemble a plastic toy 1/24th size chopper. He acts and talks like a complete idiot, with no knowledge of motorcycle building. Does he watch his own shows? Embarrassed? i've never even sat on a occ bike. would like to just to see how the reach would feel. ride one down the street, not in my town! no padding, and a hard tail, hit one of are many pot holes and it would hurt. your legs in forward controls doesn't give you a chance to allow your knees to be a shock for you. these are not real bikes, you can't ride them more than a few miles, you'd have more fun with a moped.
I saw an OCC "Chopper" on display in our home town at the loca NAPA store. I was a Daytec frame with fenders from Drag Specialties and a bunch of billet shit that was bolted on that said OCC on it. The ONLY thing that OCC put on it was welding a licence plate bracet to the swingarm and the welds looked like they yanked a high school kid out of a grocery store and handed him a welder.

These are not real bikes. They don't even have a shock in the rear. The frame is made of stainless steel that is prone to fatigue and cracking.
They are just good looking and good sounding toys.

LOL, ur so full of it. The frame is called a "hard tail", just as common as a soft tail. Doesn't make it real or unreal.
I highly doubt the frames are made of stainless steel probably more like Mild Steel.
Besides they market people who like show bikes, not comfy daily riders.

i've never even sat on a occ bike. would like to just to see how the reach would feel. ride one down the street, not in my town! no padding, and a hard tail, hit one of are many pot holes and it would hurt. your legs in forward controls doesn't give you a chance to allow your knees to be a shock for you. these are not real bikes, you can't ride them more than a few miles, you'd have more fun with a moped.

I saw an OCC "Chopper" on display in our home town at the loca NAPA store. I was a Daytec frame with fenders from Drag Specialties and a bunch of billet shit that was bolted on that said OCC on it. The ONLY thing that OCC put on it was welding a licence plate bracet to the swingarm and the welds looked like they yanked a high school kid out of a grocery store and handed him a welder.

why all the comments on "harleys" and "choppers" those ugly occ contraptions are neither. a harley is a motorcycle manufactured be Harley-Davidson. a chopper is a bike which has had all the shit that doesn't make the motorcycle run "chopped" off. what occ builds are "customs" ones that in my opinion are unatractive, and over priced. i would be suprised if there was so much as one h-d part on an occ bike. and they haven't been chopped. they where made that way.

yeh but haven't bobbers had everything that doesn't make them run chopped off too? i thought what defined a chopper was that the actual frame had been chopped and re-welded together to give it a larger rake amongst other things. Still i agree with you, a production bike can't be a chopper. And if they're mass produced then they're hardly custom either. customs are one offs. And yeh, they're fugly. Those supposedly mythical "legendary bike builders" who sit in backstreet shops creating marvels may be great, but i bet they havnt got the personality and business acumen to do anything other then sit in the shed making excellent one offs....so who cares about them. No point being the best but no ones ever heard of you cos you live in a closet.... stop hating OCC.....in fact poeple just need to stop hating. By the way, Bulldog Choppers make some great machines too... :-)
