  • Why didn't Tony Lewis sing for another band when they cooled off? His voice is amazing.

  • Such a Unique voice, vocals are just so sharp!

  • Bons tempos, nessa época eu ainda não havia nem nascido.... mas amoooooooooooooooooo, deixaram boas heranças... sua músicas e sua voz......

  • to all thoses saying that lip and gutar sync i bet they would

  • Lip (& guitar) sync'ing. WTF.

  • @s4001 This is live, no lip sync whatsoever.

  • back when ppl had passion

  • this song brings back alot of crazyyy nights with a bunch of wild ass women an memories i will never forget growing up in the 80's,,,

  • I LoVE thiS song ! ONe oF tHe BEST 80s sOnGs EvER !!!

  • one of my fav. songs from vice city ^_^

  • How is possible, that this video doesnt have a million views???

  • Where are the backup vocal's coming from??Why would they do it this way.PLAY LIVE FUKERS

  • @MegaRickeyB ... wish I could have seen/heard it :)

    @DudeManSharp ... indeed

  • true matt, I have seen that myself, they played at IUPUI tennis stadium in 86, it was the clearest, loudest live, real music playing that I have ever witnessed. Indianapolis Indiana, anyone else there?

  • ... as a follow-up ... its worth mentioning that there's plenty of occasions where the band HAS performed this song live, and they DO sincerely kick ass. Perhaps this occasion was some sort of exception.

  • Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but this is lip-sync'd. I love the Outfield, and I'm a trained/semi-pro musician, and I've listened to this song probably a few hundred times. I can assure anyone that every single detail, from inflections in the lead voice, to layers of backing vocals (where noone on stage is singing them), to guitar details in both clean patches and solo details (again, where the guitarist is clearly not playing them). Its without question the radio/studio track lip-sync'd.

  • @mattsamudio I totally agree. Although I love this band and their music, what you're hearing here is exactly the studio track. Every single nuance is exactly the same. Anyone who loves and pays attention to their favorite music can tell that it's exactly the studio version they are sync'd to.

  • His live voice sounds like a studio recording. If he isn't lip syncing, which it doesn't seem like he is, this is exceptional.

  • he fucking rocks live. wow, what a performance. rare talent imo. thanks for posting.

  • this is my favorite song of all time!!!!

    and I'm only 16 lol

but i grew up with all of their songs...

too bad they were only one hit wonders.

  • @Crashilicious it doesn't matter if they're one hit wonderers...I just downloaded a Greatest Hits album from them and I've been listening to it for three days straight

  • @FChavez82 didn't they only have like 1 album?

and i listen to them the whole entire time...

  • @Crashilicious nope 8 albums in total.they just released a best of with some new tracks a couple of weeks ago.

  • @scotsmaninusa omg really?! 'cause i saw a show on vh1 and they said that the Outfield only had like 1 album out ... dang i got to do my research then :p

  • better than modern shit!!!!

  • What do you call this, quasi-live? The drums are live, everything else is synced. Sill sounds great.

  • caralho ppoww pq eu nao vivi nessa epoca ?

    isso quye é rock

  • that show was in "Siempre en Domingo", Mexico, in Acapulco, Gro.. long live the 80's

  • wish they would come to NYC

  • @bisbutt It's actually spelled w two S's......

  • love the song

  • lol easy to play hard to sing mate :)

  • Great song. I remember this blew me away when i first heard it years ago.

  • great mullets!

  • great mullets!

  • Fun song to play..and easy too. They recorded a

slow version of this song too I think.

  • lip sync...weak....

  • the best album

  • were is the other guitarist?

  • That's the original, actual band... without the 'extra' live guys.

  • woow

  • Any1 know about one concert that they made at Tyler, TX in 08/20/86 at Caldwell Auditorium.

For me the best version of this song is at this concert. I have the audio but I would love see the video.

  • I just wanto to use you for the night.....lol

  • LMFAO

  • lip syncing!

  • wow, this it total lip syncing! Same with the instruments! lame

  • Awsome song but he is totally lip syncing in this video.

  • I love this band,i constantly play voices of babylon album on my i pod, fantastic songs,gr8 hooks and melodies, and its no wonder they have to play to backing tracks, coz their songs are so well structured,it would be impossible to recreate live, just as a 3 piece.

  • Your Love - Dead City Sunday does great cover of this song

  • soy de argentinaaaa temasoooo!!!!

  • They're just as awesome live as they are recording. Saw them at Six Flags Atlantis in Hollywood, FL in '86.

  • w0w!! great live!

  • I luvvvv this song. its the perfect pop song. you cant hate it. its just that good. his voice is so stinkin awesome!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they are amazing!

  • Great harmonizing! Seriously.

  • Great tune!

  • these guys suck!!! just kidding...they rock.

  • you almost gave Jimmy a heart attack with the first part of your comment.

  • Yes it's lipsynced but you think the guitar player would at least try to look like he was actually playing the parts.

  • mexico city 1986 in siempre en domingo show

  • Definitley lip synced.

  • @EliSB42 your retarded this his voice idiot he fucking rocks

  • @toadiesrule Commenting on a year old comment???? Get a fuckin' life. It's lip synced.

  • Like forgetstartingover, I, too, love the Outfield forever. I've seen them live several times and they were ab-fab, one 4th of July in Savannah when it was just John and Tony and their guitars, totally loosey goosey. Good times!!!

  • eh verdade !!ixu não está ao vivo !!!!!!!!!!

  • playback

  • Love the Springsteen shirt!!

  • u can tell it's lipsynced because of the way it ends...it just fades out exactly like the studio version.

  • esta padre

  • I love this song! It is the ultimate song to blast out of your car : )

  • Great writing! A masterpiece.

  • I've been listening to these guys for years. Underrated. Great song writers.

  • Great band, great mullets, what more could one ask for????

  • i love the outfield forever

  • really nice!

  • no hay playback

  • You can tell it's lipsynced because of the drumheads aswell btw. They are 'practice pads'.

  • siempre en domingo 1986 hahahahaha

  • playback!!!!!

  • great song but the hidden guitar is pretty lame. They need to hide the rythm guitar player in the back and bring out the lead guitarist.

  • outfield

  • f-in A cotton,....f-in A.

  • awesome song

  • o yeee;D in my opinion this song is really great;)) but video is amazing awesome:D:D

  • playback?

  • Yes

  • this is lip synced! damn... you can totally tell because of the singing. what a disappointment. this band still rocks though

  • esta muy buena la cansion

  • Best snare drum sound that I ever heard.

Outfields real signature!! Without that snare

    outfield wouldn't the same.

  • Ya know, Cougar, as a drummer myself I must agree. Drums are very often overlooked as an intregal part in a band's overall sound. Alex Van Halen's snare is another standout in that category.

  • Hey VinBad007, I am a drummer myself, maybe not as good as you are, but I'm pretty decent one. I eat, breath and sleep drums. There's not one morning that I don't wake up pounding on my knee a paradiddle. I do agree with you about Alex Van halen's snare. I just go back and listen to some good old Billy Cobham or Steve Gadd. That's music to my ears.

  • Excellent, Cougar! Man, Billy Cobham and Steve "Gaddzooks" Gadd, huh? Classic drummers! I am 45 years olf myself and based on you knowing them, is it safe to say you are around my age? Getting back to your point...just listen to beginning of "When The Levee Breaks" from Zeppelin. Can you even imagine what that might sound like today on some pre-programmed drum machine? It would be a sin against music! LOL

  • woww he is old hu?????

  • who's the drummer? there's a guy in millsboro Delaware that said he was a drummer for this band.

  • Alan Jackman was athe drummer. He performed in and around London until a demo got them signed to Columbia/CBS Records in 1984, and the rest was history!

  • ok even if the vocals are being lipsynched theryre still a great band, you dont measure their talent on one performance..

  • The Best "ouTFiElD"

  • you can tell it's lip synched b/c at 1:48 when the back up vocals pick up that is supposed to be sung by the guitarist, he is standing by the drummer playing when his "voice" is still singing backup and he's not even by a mic...very disappointing

  • cool

  • lipsynched sigh

  • buena cancion, me hace recordar bellos momentos

  • great stuff but def not live, the vocals and back vocals r too perfect, shame cos they were a great band!!!

  • wow i love this song but i wish i could just hear them singing for real.

  • unforgettable song! fantastic

  • thought it was 86

  • conocí a The Outfield a través de "Siempre en Domingo" en septiembre de 1987,y desde entonces soy la máxima fan del grupo.Tony, eres mi gran amor platónico. Cuándo te volveremos a ver por México?

  • Love this song!!

  • I agree Fantastic song but it was so great i think there other songs never made it just My opioion as this song had it all...

  • Greatest love song of all time, i use to sing this to my girlfriend and it hit the spot. My dream is to actually meet them and hopefully perform for my wedding in the future lol. I love them and will be a fan forever!

  • 100% lipsync, still my all time favourit, played it myself on guitar. Had to hear it hundreds of times over the headphone to do so, no arrogance intended.

  • cool video...never seen this before. love this band, but listening to this i'm 99% sure it's lip synched (certainly sounds like that -- compare with studio recording). is terms of when it's from...my guess is around the time of Bangin' (1987)...? i'm basing that on the bass drum head...

  • I agree. Times may change, but great songs go on forever.:) Does anyone know what year this video was made?

  • It was september 1987, this is a video from a Musical show in Mexico Called "Siempre En Domingo" This same show had Crowded House as guests.

  • Thank you.:)

  • All these years...still an amazing song!!!
