aww how sad she was only 10...thats so young for a pony!!!!! I highly doubt she wanted hurt someone. what terrible people to end her life over an accident! She was such a beautiful pony!

aw, people over react, i had to sell my pony, and the people that bought him said that he was uncontrollable just cause he bucked once, and they had him euthanized, so unfair, that pony was perfect, i rescued him, people think that just because a horse bites or runs or bucks once that they are horrible and uncontrollable, i hate people like that, rip snoopy, rip maggie,

Yeah I have no clue what I'm talking about, I've just been working with the rescue that killed this pony for 7 years and just adopted one of their horses last year. This is the truth, if you don't believe me that's your problem. I would be happy to put you in touch with the adopters that once had this pony~ Maggie.

Wow I had a horse that broke my dads arm and my mothers hip but euthanasia was NEVER even considered. Sometmes things happen. Horses are flight animals and are not always predictable what a recue sis to this poney is unexcusable and I hope they have severe concequences for what they did to that poor and obviously loved poney.

Im totaly into horses and its well crule to kill any animal for no paticular reason.

Wild Horses should run free .. I am very much against the Chincoteaque Runs and adoption/trapping of the beautiful wild horses. For the domestic horses .. unfortunately it may be a "pick a number out of a hat" as far as who they have room for or not (same goes in Humane Society Shelters for dogs/cats/etc.) .. is such a very sad shame for all of these innocent animals but perhaps they are setting an example as a collective group for the public to realize that everybody and every animal must EAT.

I'm sure they wouldn't euthanize a horse for stepping on someone's foot. Maybe there are other circumstances that you were not made aware of... My friend Pam got kicked in the face by one of her horses. She almost died, and had to have extensive reconstructive surgery, but, nothing was done to the horse for its behavior. You CAN'T punish a horse for hurting a human. That's ludicrous.

Nope, I got it all. The horse was "dangerous" and "too much of a liability." They never gave that horse a second chance. It's ridiculous. I talked to the DEFHR staff and Maggie's previous owners. The pony was just "too dangerous" for that kill-rescue.

OMG.. can you imagine if you were the person the pony accidentally stepped on? You would always feel like YOU got that pony killed:( That would be so hard to live with. You would feel terrible forever !! :( What a terrible thing to have happen. Poor pony.. poor people. Poor choice :(

I'm sure they blame the rescue a 10000000000 times more than they blame themselves lol. Days End didn't have to murder the pony. Just because they are inexperienced horse people doesn't mean they can just euthanize a pony because they can't handle her....she was only 14hh and was 10 years old...like seriously? If you are that inexperienced you shouldn't be dealing with horses at ALL. Stupid people...

I know! Yeah they went over a jump and the rider fell off and Maggie accidentally stepped on the rider's ankle. It was an accident. And no, surprisingly, the "rescue" who took Maggie in killed her. They are pro-slaughter...YUCK!
