  • floating song...........

  • 2:35

  • this is the sound of a hot bath.. scents.. soothing.. erotic.. i love it!

  • One of my favorite U2 songs! I bought POP my freshman year of college: my first year out on my own, so hearing the tracks from this album evoke some great nostalgic memories!

  • ecxtacy made for. as a taylor suit

  • extacy made .

  • Who does the female vocal in the chorus?

  • best voice in tha whole big bad wide world

  • I get such a nostalgia when I listen to this song. I close my eyes and I can picture exactly where I was when I replayed it over, and over. The crisp breeze, the night just set, the sky still a dark blue. I'd look up and see the light of the moon. Frost on my breath as I'd inhale a puff from a ciggarette. Euphoria running through my body, a sense of warmth like an intangible blanket. Everynight for months. The same old thing. What a nostalgia.

  • @whenbirdsflysouth

thank you for writing the prettiest comment I've ever seen on youtube.

I have similar memories with this song.

  • This was my relationship. Literally had a velvet dress that I wore when we first fell in love. Husband fell out of love with me, this cd came out. Made us both cry.

  • SEXIEST SONG EVER..OMG BONO I LOVE U

  • it sounds honest...

    thats why U2 are great

  • WOW...THIS IS FANTASTIC!!! I just shut my eyes, and suddenly I am 17 again listening to this song thinking about "that certain girl." I still remember who that was..I agree, this album is very unappreciated!

  • It took me several days to like this song, but now I realize how great and enchanting and bewitching it is.

  • AMAZING!

  • This song brings me back to the summer of '97, wich was the best summer i have ever had.

  • Ive done that before zoogarten.Very surreal indeed.love the bridge guitar solo on this.

  • I have a tip for you: When you know you're going to take a nap, put the POP album on your CD player. There's something hypnotic listening the POP songs when you're half sleep, half consicous, especially the second half of the album.

  • Since many years im lost in that song. Yes, its magic.

  • This ranks amongst one of the most meditative, mellow, tender and yet depressing tracks I've ever heard from U2. "Pop" contains quite a few underrated tracks recorded by the band, as a whole the album showcased a considerable amount of emotional and psychological insight, that lacked in some of U2's previous releases. Musically it also ranks amongst one of their diverse albums to date.

  • I utterly agree, very well put.

  • This song reminds me of so many times, me lying on my bed, looking out the window, up at the stars and moon as I try to fall asleep. This song was the passage between sleep and wakefulness. Beautiful.

  • This is what i call magic !

  • great feel to it

  • So beautiful, erotic, moody, and dreamy. It just puts so many images in your head.

  • WOW!!! POP IS MAGIC!!!THIS SONG TOO!!!I LOVE U2!!!;p

  • The song plays with voyeuristic innuendos ...it's appealing on many levels because of our attraction to eroticism. Heck, every woman should own a velvet dress...

  • Sensuous is an understatement! Talk about "mood music"...just hit the repeat button!

  • your dead right..... :)

  • I agree with all the comments so far. It's an excellent song. Very sensuous and, like Bono said, haunted.

  • F*cking adore it!

  • This song has been overlooked by many.

This is pure U2 genius. Love this song!

  • Damn shame too. I listen to this song and it's almost like an out-of-body experience. I get caught up and lost in it...is that wierd? ;-P

  • I don't think that is wierd at all.

I love music. Classical, Classic Rock, MoTown & a few "modern" artists.

But one thing is certain when it comes to music & that is that its a spiritual or religious experience for me. I don't just listen to music, I don't just hear it, I experience it, it flows through me and I through it.

Music has a power that cannot be described. So, your summary of the feeling of an out of body experience, getting caught up or lost in it is perfectly viable.

  • Bono himself said 'that song is haunted'.........
