  • Also please note that mpc 64 bit do not work with ffdshow as far as I know.

Anddddd....For DVD playback you have to check all supported in raw video under

    ffdshow Video Decoder/Codecs

Thanks a lot for you video :D

  • @Ephics

Thank you for finding my video of assistance Ephics - I forgot to mention the point about 64-bit MPC-HC not working with FFDShow in the video, however - I was aware of it while making the video which is why I instructed the download & installation of the x86 version.

And thank you for pointing out the pointer for DVD Playback - DVDs playback great with the settings that I have provided - if you found something better then I'm glad for you.

    Have a nice day.

  • Long story short...

I bought a anime dvd, subtitles were extremely crappy, Many crashes later... I succeeded to extract the subs into text.

I tried to play them on vlc(It worked half of the time) I was so ANGRY. I tried a lot of media players and this one seemed to do the job but the default decoder don't have a decent De-interlacing method so I searched and I searched and found this video and ffdshow.

AND IT WORKS YESSS I'M SO HAPPYYYYYY :D

  • Thanks for the tutorial

  • @NTXJSANT

You're welcome, I'm glad I could be of service. ;)

  • Everything I've got after adding the ffdshow filter instead of default ones is a delay with scrolling seekbar and no sound with some video formats.

So what is the point of this? Thanks ;)

  • @saschabudko

You must not have done something properly, I've had literally hundreds of people tell me this worked for them.

Double check to make sure all internal filters are Unchecked, and in the External filters FFDSHOW Audio & Video decoders are in there.

Also make sure you configured FFDShow decoders correctly - they all must be set to libavcodec.

  • @evolutionpr

Thanks for the reply.. I didn't say anything about "people" or that it couldn't work.. Just say it doesn't work for me and asked you about the point of this operation. That's it.

I'm not sure I did something wrong, but anyway thanks for your explanation and time.. maybe I'll try it once more.. someday ;)

  • @saschabudko

I didn't mean to come off as an asshole. I'm sorry about that.

  • Nice one for the video mate..i did not have my filters setup properly now i know the real deal...nice one. og and f&^% VLC dammit lol

  • @tyrocasts

    I'm glad I was of assistance. =)

  • Good Tutorial man :) FB is my home page too lol

  • @unokilo321

    Hey thanks man =)

I don't even know how it was set to my homepage... Chrome automatically imported my data from IE & FF and set Facebook as my homepage for some reason

  • @evolutionpr haha yeah the only thing I liked about IE is I was able to have multiple home pages when I opened the window. I tried with firefox and it didn't work, I tried to set YT, FB, and NCIX :)

  • @unokilo321

I think you can do that with chrome, you can have a list
