  • At 4:22, does the lettering on the coach mean "$19.75 Lunch served all day" or is it the origional (or current) number and an advertisement?

  • That car is Southern Pacific #1975, AKA the All Day Lunch or ADL. It was origionally used on the suntan specials from Oakland to Santa Cruz. It is currently owned by the Pacific Locomotive Association for use on the Niles Canyon Railway.

P.S. Don't you think $19.75 for lunch is alittle rediculous?

  • The $19.75 lunch was a little joke I thought was funny. Now that I think about it, it does sound redicoulas in two ways.

  • Yup. By the way, yes, the #1975 is the car's origionall number and the All Day Lunch is just a nickname for it. Just like how Roaring Camp shay #1's nickname is Dixiana.

  • Awesome vid! happy national train day!!

  • This is a really cool place, I wish I could visit from London England! We all need to work together on saving our History and Heritage, cos when it's gone it's gone!

So glad someone is saving something on the other side of the world too!

  • Thanks, come by and visit us soon. Our next steam event with SP2472 will be on Labor Day weekend.
