Too bad no microphone could ever pick up the full roar of a British Phantom's engine. The Tornadoes were pretty noisy as well, but in a different way, more ear-shattering and less brutal and totalitarian, for lack of a better expression.
nice film..too bad the RAF did not decide to use a Brit plane with similar capability...I have forgotten the designation but I am sure basicmodelling knows :)

The RR Spey were large engines and that is why the vents are open it allows more air to enter.

Has anybody else noticed that there were aft fuselage OPEN HATCHES during take-off and landing?
Are those auxiliary air intake doors? If so, did Rolls-Royce Speys need some extra airflow at low speed?
