What version do you have? If you have the old, original Alegria soundtrack from 1994, then this song won't be on there because the Flying Man act had not been added to the show yet.

This song is called "Malioumba" and you can find it on the newer, extended edition of the Alegria soundtrack. I think it might still be on Amazon, but it's been a while since I checked.

The entire show is wonderful, but this act in particular moves me to tears each time I watch it. The combination of music and Aleksander's graceful movements could soften even the hardest of hearts. I especially love the facial expressions he makes at 4:06 (the look of sheer surrender) and 4:09 through 4:13 (as if he's daring the women in the audience not to fall in love with him). And at 4:20 when the angels bow to him...simply breath-taking! :)

Man, the sensory stimulation was so intense, all of it so perfect together in the most profound, spiritual, unexplainable way. bought the cd immediately after the show and basked in the energy of it for weeks after. @proximity1111 I havent seen it live but when i saw this vid i started crying i mean: The Music, the Vocals, the emotion, the movements all blend into this beautiful piece of art and i literally cried hard when i saw this. One reason is because my Grandfather died recently and i imagined the performer was him, flying in heaven :'(

All the breath-taking, spectacular feats of flight aside, (& they ARE indeed very spectacular,) my absolute favourite moment of this video is at 4:10, where all the women in view are entranced, having fallen under his spell.

It appeals very much to my inner romantic :o)

Fascinating. Can anyone here tell me how the bouncy, rubber band-like movement of this acrobat's cords are achieved? What are those cords made of, just cloth? Are any stage hands backstage helping manipulate the height of the top portion of the cords, or is the acrobat doing most of the manipulation himself?

You can find it on the extended CD of Alegria. I don't know think iTunes and such has this song on it. And in the CD, it IS sung but Francesca Gagnon. That's the best I can do for ya.

This is possibly my favorite act cirque has EVER made.

The way it blends story, music and acrobats together is utterly outstanding.

The emotion from the music is just matched perfectly to the act. The softness of it and the raw feeling it creates is an amazing sensation. Uplifting, beautiful and mind-blowingly moving.

It wasn;t included on the soundtrack because the song wasn't used until 1999, and the soundtrack was from '94, but the live version of this song is on the Extended Alegria CD
