  • i think someone shouldv gone to the bathroom before pressing the record buton Huh

  • May i know what tools you are using there? It is a very good work there!

  • nice man !!! Potrait art is not about photo art .. it is speed art .. and grab some emotion + artist exp into drawing...

  • WHY DIDNT U JUST TAKE A PICTURE OF HER....THATS TORTURE....NICE SKILLS THOUGH

  • I couldn't draw that in six"ty" minutes.

  • its funny when the portrait looks better than the person haha xD this is just great and amazing wish i could do this but maybe in a few years i could?

  • thats pretty good, but yea what kind of pen is it you use =)?

  • That sucks... She looks nothing like it.

  • @thijsderidder stfu if you have no idea about drawing. In 6 mins you`d draw something similar to this : ) This exercise is not about getting the face perfectly right.....

  • what type of pencil are you using?

  • it keeps on stoppin man whta kind of drawing is that its no way like the girl

    he's shit

  • the opening music sounds like a generic 90's r and b song

  • That girl is ugly, she has a long thin face, long thin nose little beady eyes and the drawing is the complete opposite and is of a pretty girl who was he looking at when he drew that coz it wasn't the girl I could see?

  • what kind of pencil is he using?

  • where did u get that pencil?

  • I'm sorry to say but the portrait looks nothing at all like the model. The eyes grew, she became chubbier?! Lips are thicker.

Overall, i can say he has a good technique but not a good visual cognition, just my opinion anyways.

And let's just ignore the fact that he farts and no one bothers to edit later... The truth hurts, at times, forgive any offense, not intended, merely a factual observation. :l

  • @xakoviski Thats what I was saying, the portarit doesnt look like the girl but then I thought about how he was trying to do this in 6mins. Im sure if he were to take his time drawing her, from a photo, he would of done a better job.

  • i cant even do this for hours

  • damn is that a magic pencil or something... ô_ô

  • Don't know how he did it. but I have to say, that was pretty damn cool.

  • this is amazing especially with how fast you do it

  • man, i hate how he makes this look sooo simple. =[

  • hola me podrian decir que tipo de lapis esta usando es qeu no es un lapis de minas normal havia visto el modelo pero no lo he logrado identifical si pueden decirme el nombre de el se lo agradeceré

  • HAHA FART AT 1:06!

  • @popcornflute HAHAHAHAHA

  • Very helpful. Especially because it's done in very short amount of time. Being able to do it quickly is key to getting better and developing a solid and personal style.

  • For 6 minutes it's really good- those who criticize should post their own 6 minute portrait.

  • Her face is longer, the cheeks are not so pronounced, the pupils are placed too high, and the jaw line should be at a higher degree of angle.

  • Thats ghastly , the face looks too fat, lips and nose and eyebrows.. all in the wrong positions

  • shading is the real secret!!

  • What pencil are you using?

  • Thanks, this helps

  • i can't draw the nose

  • i have been trying for 4 hours but i cant draw the eyes please help me out

  • I can't draw the eyes it's hard but I'm practicing

  • Ima try this on a different photo

  • Woah..i was drawing along with this and learned alot in the process.

As a comic/manga artist, i'm not used to drawing real life drawings....and definitely not in 6 minutes.

A thousand thanks for sharing! :D

  • sir what pencil are you use?? plsss reply

  • @MrFoolBlogs sorry for the late reply, but these are staedler mechanical pencils. real beauties to use, as the sharpener is the the back!

  • oh shit he does fart at 1:06

  • @bornsexmachine lol

    i heard it O.o

  • Hmm :/ I wish I was that good. N what kinda pencil is that ;/ I need to get one

  • this guy isn't a pedo is he? lol watch the video to understand what i mean.

  • @supersonicdrawer

he is not but i am sure you are.

  • its 7 minutes

  • @MrZerolight And 20 seconds!! >:D

  • hes quite good i made a new website for art maybe some of you can check it out and tell me what you think dont judge my pic if you go on plz but can any one tell me what you think????

  • holy crap, thats cool *farts*

  • the only equal thing is the hair... the faces have no similarity

but it looks great at all...just no portrait

  • He made the drawing look better than the girl in real life

  • I don't think it's That good, it isn't bad either... just a few faults like the line of the chin must be more leaning, the eyes smaller or less accented with shadow under her eyes, more contrast on the right side of her fase and less on her nose (just how I can see) maybe he sees more contrast but than he must draw much more on the right sides of her face..... but still not bad ...

  • What kind of pencil is he using?

  • @MRDEEPGREEK But, by comparison, this isn't brain surgery. It's more like a botched appendix operation.

  • I would have drawing the shading last to prevent smudging and place in the proportions first of all.

  • @MRDEEPGREEK Since you're not artist, don't speak on subjects you don't understand you idiot. Just as a surgeons need a special type of scalpel for different cases, an artist needs a pencil of varying thickness. A hard Pencil, A soft pencil. A charcoal Pencil, a carbon pencil. Dumbass.

  • Nose is too big. But hey, you did what you could.

  • He farts at 1:06

  • @brandon2932

    Omg!

    looooooooooool!!!

    hahahahaha!

  • @brandon2932 TOTALLY hahah !

  • @brandon2932 the girl had a poker face when he farted

  • @brandon2932 what? i didnt hear it

  • @justj99XX Turn up your speakers. Its a tiny fart.

  • @justj99XX It was some squirting sound. Sounds like his voice.

  • @brandon2932 hahaha, does he?! or is it something else? hahaha

  • @brandon2932 I farted at 0:39

  • @brandon2932 That sounded more like a little girl fart.

  • omg 6 min. is the trick that you start with hair when you shape the head?

  • @Svetovidijak I'm not him, but yes it is better to work outwards then go inwards. If you just go straight to the face and try to free-hand it, it isnt going to turn out so well.

  • @HeartsforWebkinz It depends IMO. I mean I know people who draw and start with the outline of the face and jump straight to the eyes. Some people can do the free hand pretty well and they always have things in proportion. It's all about practicing whatever you prefer.

  • omg....u just taught me so much more than any book can teach me in these few minutes. im only 15 and been drawing for 4 years i can draw people but not this fast. i had no training this is my only training thanks

  • i think her face should of been a little more narrow but other than that it was very nice.....

  • Fast,as fast as I am I think.

  • HOW THE HELL!

  • i would pay for that of me anyday but instead i got a shit cartoon of someone for $50

  • She looks older, but I like it, its an amazing drawing! (:

Your shading is so perfect! :O

  • YOU JSUT BELW MY MNID its takes me about 3 days to draw someones potrait this is amazing

  • Real good,I like that pencil,seems professional.

  • portrait is not really correctly done but i guess everyone has his own style.... if you want your portrait to be correct and easy you need guide lines... and try imagining your character as a bunch of geometric shapes so you can accurately built the features. also study human anatomy for proportions. Use of crayons: HB for guidelines; 2B-4B or even 6B if you have a steady hand (it can be either normal pencils or mechanical ones... i personally love the mechanical ones) hope it helps!

  • @LukaSInSane19 a 6 minute portrait is going to be exact and art isnt always about presice shapes and lines. its about emotion and showing the viewer your perspective.

  • @Penciltamer not necessarily it is just what you want it to be, its meaning could be obvious or deep

  • @Penciltamer giving art advice at 15 isn't a good idea, no offense. i've been drawing since before i knew how to talk of walk properly and i've had my training and learning in art schools and self-exploration of art and graphic drawing, so yes I KNOW how to show emotion, I KNOW the impact of an artwork on the viewer. this is a portrait, and yes, as i've learned it has to be accurate and emotional at the same time. BUT I was talking about the technique and I commented to help others.

  • @LukaSInSane19 Fist i want to make a quick statement that no offense is never a cover up for a judging comment. And you look not at my advice itself and yet comment on my age. And as someone with alot of expewriance, instead of trying to discourage an artist in training you could give advice at what was wrong with mine. instead you make blant comments on my age and therefore are just making blant statements. Like frippeswede said, cheers.

  • @Penciltamer First : ASSUMING isn't the best thing to do either. Second: I commented on your "advice" and explained that I have studies and experience to prove that I already knew that (heck everyone knows that!). Third: I never discouraged you I just explained myself (again I repeat because you seem to act on impulse when commenting), I already posed comments with correct advice and I consider it helpful, but it seems people preffer to go down the easy road with less learning, SHAME!

  • @LukaSInSane19 First i want to make a quick statement that no offense is never a cover up for a judging comment. And you look not at my advice itself and yet comment on my age. • @LukaSInSane19 No offense, but guidelines are for learning proportions. I think just the guidelines would have taken 6 min.... This vid is about to exercise your mind in drawing freehanded. If all you want is to make perfect, you will fail to draw a person. Anatomy is good to learn, but just really important if you want to draw fictive persons. For drawing a model i would suggest learning about light, and working towards understanding edge values. Instead of lines, try using key points. Cheers.

  • @FrippeSwede Actually you are wrong. Guidelines take little time if you know your anatomy/proportions (achieved by studying). To draw a model you especially need to understand the features you are working with. And yes, shades are as equally as important. Mostly when I finished the outlining of the portrait it doesn't really look like the person, but when I shade the drawing comes to life. Anyways... lines are the base of the portrait, the structure you work on and it shouldn't be faulty

  • @FrippeSwede And thinking about it... ONCE and only ONCE you know your anatomy and proportions A-Z you can free-hand nicely... but that takes a lot of practice and knowledge... and I'm telling you all this because my professor, which is an amazing artist taught me these things and sat me for a chat one day... and I respect his principles and pass them on cause they helped me a whole bunch!

  • wow i wish i could draw like this your amazingly talented

  • WOW, I have never seen such a fast artist at this age in my life, what a focus!

  • He seriously has a GOOD Eye tht capture tht image Fast.

  • Wow that was absolutly amazing! i hope i can one day draw like that in 6 minutes!

  • Damn this guy did in 6 mins what would take me 6 months to do...... Bob Ross with a pencil.

  • OHHH SNAP!!!!!! shit cracked me up!!

  • I think this is my favorite youtube video. It is amazing how he produces so much in so little time.

  • He used a type of pencil called leadholder. But remember that no matter what tools you use, it all depends on your skill and practice:)

  • i wish ihave pencil like that xd ^^

  • @deadpnk lol they sell them in walmart

  • i wish ihave pencil like that xd ^^

  • The sketch isn't really her, I think :(

  • What pencil did you use? Please write back as soon as possible

  • :O DRAW ME!!!!!

  • am i doing it wrong that i start with nose? i paint good portraits but i never came up to do it replica, i normally end up making them better looking :) but its not what i wont

  • can anyone tell me which type of pencil is he using?

    HB?2B?

    THANKS

  • I think I used to watch this.

    Was it on PBS?

  • This painting or better dwaing is great, but the nose is too short in my eyes

  • thas awesome men. and only for 6 minutes, great.

  • her expression is pained

  • I have never seen anybody draw this accurately and fast at the same time.

  • I watched this 10 times and still find it amazing. The speed/accuracy ratio is what is so amazing.

  • omfg freigin amazing if only my art teacher would stop giving my class middle school stuff i want full out pro projects so i can learn freaking faster

  • In the begining i was like "You Can't Draw?" I thought it said "You Can't Draw!" xD LMFAO im dumb :P

  • i like the old school 80's music that this guy has lol

  • I find that he didn't catch her way of looking: he drew a soft and friendly looking girl, whereas the model is more having a "naughty" or even a little bit challenging look in her eyes. Anyway, great technique and still a lovely drawing. I wouldn't do any better!

  • i think that once one thing goes wrong it just makes everything else look wrong and not like the eprson you are tryingg to draw

  • this child is ugly...but nice drawing

  • holy #@! thats amazing .. i love it .. where do you get that pencil .. whats it called .. you didn't use the rubber for any mistakes

  • holy #@! thats amazing .. i love it .. where do you get that pencil .. whats it called

  • it would take me like half an hour to do something like this. wow nice i need that kind of pencil

  • holy crud i can t do that good in an hour of drawing dude be my mentor

  • q papel es el que usas amigo

  • great job!..that was so quick

  • it dosent look like her...

  • @SSJEve lol did you ever try drawing a person in 6 minutes?

  • What's the name of the song?

  • What hardness of penciltip does he use?

  • dang i wanna get my groove on to that music in the first 30 seconds hahaha

  • I think he is good. Usually it takes me a long time to make the sketch look proportional and so on, because everything else depends on it. And it's maybe the hardest thing to do in a drawing. But once you've created the sketch, you can easily build on it - shadows, details... Besides, it's easier with a picture cause nobody moves on it. He has to draw a girl who may be sitting in the same position but is in fact constantly moving. He did a good job for the 6 minutes he had. Not perfect but good.

  • Ha Why didn't you take a Picture of that Girl instead of making her sit there for that long!

  • dude is baad woow

  • The portrait doesn't looks like the girl, it's not a good job, and YES, i can do better

  • @iraniaryan then put a video up and show us, bitch

  • @iraniaryan Stupid people always criticize everything, especially if somebody's work is perfect. Don't be jealous, bitch!

  • BEST COOL Excellente !!!!!!!

  • hahahaha your fart made my day

  • 2:46 SNAP, lol

  • I'm not a hater or anything, but he has pedo voice.

  • What kind of pencil did he use?

  • @Creationcreed looked like an architects pencil with a hb lead in it you can get them at any craft store that sells art supplies for about $7

  • @wolfdud it's a clutch pencil.

  • @Creationcreed that's a Staedtler Mars 2mm lead holder, and judging from the ease the graphite is left on the paper without much pressure (best seen at 06:34) it's most probably a 4B.

  • @Creationcreed mechanic one?

  • @Creationcreed Looks like a Schwan (Stabilo) lead holder. They were in heavy use in the pre-CAD days.

  • @Creationcreed Its a STAEDTLER Leadholder , see STAEDTLER web.

  • @akaiwine STAEDTLER website is awesome!

  • @Creationcreed I've got the same pencil as him it is really good cos if you push the button thing at the back you can adjust the length of the lead or also change it to a different consistency lead. Defiantly my favorite pencil.

  • @Creationcreed i think the pencil makes a big difference but i guess he don't want to let us know his secret lol

  • @Creationcreed I know this is late, but it appears to be a staedtler Leadholder.

  • Awesome Job for 6 mins

  • la esquina del lado derecho necita menos anchura

  • fantastic...

  • What kind of pencil are you using?

  • @devinSG Its a STAEDTLER Leadholder ,see STAEDTLER web.

  • @devinSG its mechanical pencil...but its almost the same with the wodden one

  • lol my technique is very simliar till his, but with less detail of course cuz I never really got the shading part down right

  • i think the drawing looked better then the girl was he looking at the rite girl

  • What kind of pencil is that?

  • it is cool

  • proponuje poćwiczyć jeszcze a potem nauczać

pozatym na tym ten film niczego nie uczy poza popisówą

    zachęcam do dalszych ćwiczeń

  • awesome drawing!!!! check out my taylor swfit scrapbook i drew all of the pictures in it the video is under my page:)

  • That was k0ol

  • cool r u a teacher

  • you're a crap!! how did you do it? you're fantastic! There are three videos that work best for this, they are:

Secret Drawing Technique Revealed: Perfect Proportion Every Time.

Drawing Secrets Revealed: How To Draw Proportion

How To Draw The Nose and Features

  • U did a 6 minute drawing witch would take most people a hour I love this video :-)

  • pedopedopedopedopedopedopedopedo.

  • @GunGoesPowPow

    You're about 3 mentally aren't you...fucking moron.

  • @GazAnders69

    sense of humor?

  • its cooooooool

  • I have been using this technique for years. It works anybody can learn it.

  • What kind of pencil is that?

  • @tzamora09 that is a Staedtler Mars technico leadholder commonly used by draftsmen but, in the last ten years or so it has crossed into the fine art world. They are good to use, just remember to keep your eye on your lead length. Some animators (since they are draftsmen) use them. They take whatever lead medium you choose from the hardest to the softest.

  • considering that he did this in 6 minutes, He didn't really have time to pay attention to proportion. That's why I don't rush myself EVER when I draw...proportion is everything in art.
