  • Darrell Green was a great football player. He played for such a long time at an incredibly high level of play, it is something not likely to be repeated in NFL history. Maybe not the best CB to ever play the game, but certainly the fastest.

  • darrell green and deion sanders were just amazing

  • @KRIIMZONx No offense, but I absolutely hate when people compare Deion Sanders and Darrell Green. Were they both great cover corners? Yes, but there are many great cover corners. That's the end of where they are alike... Darrell Green never held out for more money on his contract, never was a cancer to his team, didn't want all the spotlight to himself, and was a true team player. You have one guy who played with one team for 20 years, another who played with 5 teams in a little over a decade.

  • Im just over 140lbs and 5'10,Fastest kid in my school:)CB/KR/QB :D Im gonna be the next Green:D

  • Darrell Green ran a 4.24 at 40 years old... he was one of the best ever... and this is from a Cowboys fan.

  • I know that there certainly was an element of "toughness" in that playoff story... but damn, isn't that pretty close to being an indentured servant?

  • deions best 10.24, green and brown's best 10.08, chris johnson's best 10.34 all on modern fast surface tracks-Bob Hayes 47 yrs ago in tokyo on a wet loose dirt( YES DIRT

track 10.05(wonder what he would have run if on modern rubberized surface)Hyes hands

down fastest man to EVER plat in the NFL. fastest 60 yd in NFL's fastest man comp-

Ron Brown 6.09- Hayes 48 yrs ago first man under 6 sec's he ran 5.9 at age 20.

and check out his anchor in the 4X100= SICK !

  • best cornerback ever in my opinion

  • @javonlegacy - says" deion sanders is the fastest cornerback ever"- that is bullshit ! Darrell Green and DeAngelo Hall were both faster than Sanders. If you listened to Mr. Superlative -Johnny Madden then maybe you would believe that.

Deion had a little size on Darrell but could not fly like Darrell. Deion was a great kick returner and cover corner but he wasn't as fast as Darrell. If Deion had his same skill set and was Darrell's size, he would not have made an NFL franchise roster.

  • What a great man. As a 49er fan he really was something special to watch against my team. I have the utmost respect for such a great player.

  • i can run down everybody... :D i like it :D

  • One thing I'm never gonna froget is when he ran down Neapolean Kauffman, I mean he didn't have an angle on him and he still ran him down! Unbelivable fast!

  • @likestallwomen I grew up with "Nip" in Lompoc. We used to play tackle football in the neighborhoods and parks. I can personally attest to Neapoleans speed. So that means that Darrell is wicked fast.

  • @In4cus I hear ya on that, be somethin' if anyone can attest he was able to even run down Bo Jackson!

  • @likestallwomen - I doubt he ever had to ! In all of Darryl's career - I never saw him miss catching anybody that he had a chance of getting with 1 exception. I do remember one game in the late 80's against the Falcons and Michael Haynes caught a pass and was only a few yards ahead of Darrell and Green didn't catch him. It was a long TD and I think it was late in the season and I was shocked Darrell didn't run him down. Darrell must have had a leg injury or something. Once in 20 years ain't bad.

  • @42marisol1 Can't catch everyone!

  • @javonlegacy at the age of 40 darrell green beat out deion sanders as the fastest man on the redskins in 2000. so fuck off with that deion crap. nigga please!

  • Class act. He should be mentoring kids.

  • @billme8 he is

  • the only guy i ever seen catch jerry rice from behind after the catch

  • @javonlegacy Deion is a Falcon. And nothing against Deion but Green was faster.

  • that nigga fast

  • "Nobody ran down Tony Dorsett but Darryl Green did. Nobody ran down Eric Dickerson but Darryl Green did. One of things that made Darryl Green a great player is that he accomplished things that no one thought were posable before.

  • @FrsBigeasy i didn't think that you could spell "possible" correctly. it looks like i was right.

  • @nDn1984

LOL why don't you save your opinion for people who respect it

  • @nDn1984 You dont even know him you're not funny and nobody gives a shit about spelling we all kne what he meant.

  • @FrsBigeasy Hey, the shocker I won't forget is when he ran down Neapolean Kauffman, and everyone thought nobody could catch him!

  • the end of this video mae it seem like he was dead. and he is a good corner but lets face it, he was deffinatly no deion.

  • 4.43, he could still play if he wanted too! Man he's still fast!

  • nice video, great player

  • he ran 40 yards in 4.43 and he just turned 50

  • Darrell Green its 2010 and I'm still upset at you for catching Tony Dorsett!

  • he ran down randy moss too.....and he was damn near 40 at the time

  • speed is good. but im very sure if u ask green speed or skill geen will say skill

  • Closing Speed....He ran down Tony Dorsett AND Eric Dickerson. I bet they were saying.....WTF?

  • he probably hasn't slowe down at all still. bet he could catch chris johnson

  • ran a 4.43 in the 40 last week lol.. on his 50th bday

  • He was a great player, but that playoff game was painful to a Bears fan like myself.

  • i bet it was

  • @jackdav34 yeah off a kick return... and years later you guys got Devin Hester.... ITS ALL ABOUT THE U!!!!!!!
