Now this is the first track I've eva heard from this dude... he ill. Man... & he's proven that real MCs ain't gotta use primitive language to make that impact.
Naaaaa....I NEVER EVER give up the cuts you gotta find out the hard way just like do....this isnt a tough one....if you are a grate digger you prolly already heard it
No, i simply don't believe that you know. People that love music don't hide what they know about it. The shit that i love most about music is sharing the knowledge with other people and seeing the joy in their faces with they dig it. If you know and don't want to share based on some fuck-nigga shit, then do you, although i'm sure you don't know anyway.
producers never tell....sorry code of ethics my dude.......ask ANY producer.....its better when you find it yourself any way I would know cause its what I do.....if u think i'm a "fuck-nigga" for that so be it. I could care less. Petty name calling wont help you find that sample. I could care less about sharing knowledge i'm not a teacher I already helped you enough by gettin u off the McDonald crap......glad u appreciated it.....WATER
Producer? Code of Ethics? Huh? First of all, this sample is bought and paid for, so ethics have little to do with it. It would be different if the shit was chopped beyond recognition, but it aint! 9th is making no attempt to hide it's use...so kill all that try'na be on some Premo shit cuz it doesn't apply here. And i don't think you're a fuck-nigga cuz simply put, you can't tell what you don't know. I dig the song, and i'll take it for what it is without losing sleep over a sample. Peace!
Oh yea, last thing, you're a producer, but you aren't about sharing knowledge and teaching when it comes to this hip hop shit? WTF is that all about? I've never hidden the knowledge about anything worth knowing in my entire life. That's a wierd ass modus operandi, but i realize that some cats get down like that. And if you're right about the McDonald thing, i certainly appreciate it because i like learning shit. So with that, good luck Mr. Producer! (lol@code of ethics for a paid for sample).
I think its funny that u think samples get cleared......some samples do but for grinding dudes like Floe......hmmmmm....its not easy to get clearance most people just thug it and I dont blame them plus even if its paid....crate diggers are sum secretive people its competition really...we all want what the next guy dont have....just reality, what ever you dont know about u cant make a beat with
Yea, but 9th clears his samples. In fact, he usually presents a samples list. I don't have the liner notes for this album because i downloaded it. Thug it? I don't believe it. Lawsuits are too steep, not to mention that the labels and distributors don't want to push product that isn't cleared after that Gilbert O' Sullivan case. In any case, what have you "produced?" Where is an example of your work? What artists?
First of all producers really don't have to clear samples.......it's the artists resposibility.....when you submit beats for an album you are just sending beats to the artist, your really just sending him sum stuff the samples dont have to be cleared by you thats between him and the label and whoever own rights and publishing to the original....
The producer may get paid for the beat, but the original publisher can and often DOES take 100% of the royalties from the recording, assuming that it moves units. If they do that, nobody is seeing a damn dime after they put out an injunction. Again, 9th usually clears his work because his samples are listed. I realize that mixtape niggas don't bother, but if that shit is going thru a label and reputable distribution, you gotta clear that shit. I know that some don't, but that could cost you.
Man, no wonder i couldn't pick up the sample. It's so slowed down that it doesn't even sound like Michael Henderson. I thought it was Mike McDonald, even though i had my doubts.
Niiiiiiiice!!!

Truth! Most people are on the outside looking in. Not having a background in true hiphop so they give the true hiphop artists bad reviews.
