For a short or long vacation NY is great. So much to do and see, you'll never get bored. Had a great time there, but would never want to live there. Always noise, sirenes and action. And a lot of poverty as well. I was amazed at first why all the NY-ers looked so damn tired in the subway. But after talking to them, they told me how hard they had to work to even survive(60-80 hours is no exception). It was sad to see how most of the NYers can't enjoy their city as much as we as tourists could.

Just returned from New York. Drove from the airport through Ozone Park in Queens, made it past Lefrack City to Midtown Manhattan. Stayed at the New Yorker. Ate everywhere and had a blast. Went to Times Square every day. Met Juan Williams and the mother of Craig Thomas, one of the creators of How I Met Your Mother. Ate at Margon, Charlie's Cheese Steak and Saw Spiderman-Turn off The Dark. Just got back to Denver 3 hours ago. It was a blast.

WOW! i live in NYC and i can tell you that the only way to fully experience this city is at night or very early in the morning. Just go down the freeway before rush hour like at 5 AM and have this song playing in your car. IT BEAUTIFUL!! one time i got chills because it is so beautiful! :)
