ummm.. i really doubt it has anythign to do with the fact that he's from the states. he's trying to say learn to read.. it helps in the long run, trust me
Typical know it all fuck head yank, Not everybody can read music or can transcribe jazz tunes but I suppose you can. Coz your from the USA and you are so great that you can't even beat the vietnameese
What does a comment about how fake books are better than tabs (so true) have to do with the Vietnam War or the fact that a "typical american" thinks they know everything?

A little too "note-for-note" at times (though I really dig the opening drum fills), but performed so spectacularly that I really enjoyed it. You guys have superb skills (though if Pastorius didn't need a five-string than neither do you!).

Fuck tabs... get a real book and it'll have the melody and the changes written out. Or better yet, transcribe it from the video
